Best city in the UK. Has everything you'd ever need. Best nightlife possible, beautiful scenery, and you're never too far from a greggs. Has the best support for a football team possibly in the world.

Newcastle is an amazing place to go to university! It had such a huge student population, with 2 large universities and many colleges in the area, that the city really is dedicated to providing a great 3 years for all students. Events vary greatly, so there is something for everyone. One of my favorite events is at the Wylam Brewery, where they do a battle of food, previous ones have been pizza, Mexican and Thai. They invite DJs and food trucks of local restaurants to take part in this battle, the atmosphere is great. But for people less outgoing, the Sage holds great concerts from less heard of musicians. There is so much going on from restaurant discounts to club nights, student shopping nights to dance classes in local cafes. I would not hesitate to recommend Newcastle as an amazing student city!

Newcastle is just a city which is amazing for any type of student. As there are over 50 restaurants to eat from in just the amazing shopping centre, and also having the best value for money for drinks wether they be alcoholic or not.

I love this city. As a student, getting good value for money is a must. Having travelled to places like London before, I wasn’t sure what to expect from another highly influential city. However, I was surprised to find that it’s extremely affordable to live here. The night life is one of a kind. Which plenty of pubs and clubs to offer, Newcastle’s nightlife truly is so much fun and different from anywhere I have experienced. Another thing close to my heart; food. Newcastle is packed with restaurants and food places - both affordable and pricey which a huge variety to choose from. Overall, Newcastle... I love you.

All food, shopping, nights out are all within walking distance from campus! Newcastle is rated as number 1 as night out and undoubtedly agreed by students. Northumberland street literally right next to campus got everything u need from lunches, snacks and evening meals. High street stores all along with affordable clothing shops. Elden square got everything you need. Everything around newcastle is at reasonably price. If shopping isnt enough, a stroll down the quayside will see the most beautiful and relax part of the city.

Newcastle is a very welcoming city, lovely locals and excellent atmosphere. The nightlife has a variety that suits everyone and all types of music. The city itself has all types of culture from an amazing music scene to a vibrant arts scene. Whether is a day shopping around monument or a quick metro ride to the coast, there's nothing you can't do in Newcastle. Couldn't be anywhere better as a young person growing up independently.

It’s right in the centre of town so everything is on your doorstep. You’re never more than two minutes from a shop, bar or restaurant and everywhere is so friendly it makes your uni experience so much fun ... It’s the best place to be!

Newcastle is a lovely city with many good shops and facilities to have a day out in town. Also not far from the seaside as the beaches nearby are lovely and perfect distance to visit. The nights out in Newcastle are famous and rightly so as the city is home to many places and venues which are open and busy each night. Value for money in Newcastle is also very good as the drinks are cheap on nights out as is many of the individual restaurants which do student deals and local prices for cheap. Not only this Newcastle has a good transport system with numerous bus services and a metro system, both are reasonably priced and affordable.

It’s fucking class! Everywhere in the country if you ask for a treble vodka and coke you’re gonna get one funky look, but Newcastle you’re gonna be asked “do you want 3 for £5?”

Newcastle is the best place for nights out in the country. From flares to world HQ there's something for everyone. Plus you can't say no to three trebs for a fiver

Great places to go out such as Digital and Flares, there’s 4 Wetherspoons to choose from which are all well priced. There’s plenty of shops to go shopping in Eldon Square and the High street and you could easily spend all day there.

Newcastle is recognised for its awesome night life, and it really does live up to the reputation, with so many different clubs with different music genres and atmosphere theres a night out for everyone here! As well as this the shopping in Newcastle is great with Eldon square having everything you need and the metro centre near by you're never far away from what you need. Theres lots to do here too with the Baltic and the Sage on the quayside to visit free of charge and there are TWO cat cafes and a dog one! What more could you want!?
