It is a very expensive city but there is truly something for everyone! Whether you like partying, music, reading or anything there is something in this city for you.

London is an exciting, vibrant and diverse city with a million and one things to do. Although the cost of living is high (pints are a fiver in a standard pub) there are lots of things to do cheaply or for free, the transport is brilliant and you'll never have a dull day (unless you want to). Make sure you don't get trapped and remain in central London the entire time because the city is so big that you'll miss 90% of it. Although Oxford Street is one of the best known streets in the UK and home to every highstreet shop you can thing of (there are five Zaras...), walk five minutes and you'll be in the heart of soho, with vintage, boutique and charity shops all around. Go to Kew Gardens or Greenwich Observatory for a nature day, go East for friendly people and nights that never end, go North for community and markets, go South for wicked food and go West for a little fanciness or for the legendary Notting Hill Carnival in August. There's music on every other corner, festivals littered throughout summer and always something new to engage with. Free comedy nights, free art shows, free museums, cool bars, an amazing skyline and even cable cars. Get involved.

London is a very cosmopolitan city and I've had the chance to experience that whilst getting to know a wide range of nationalities. It's really one of the best cities in the world, although rent and living costs are quite expensive.

As a student London can be a little bit expensive, however, it’s worth living here as it holds a ton of plans and you never get bored. In central London there is a vast amount of shopping areas and tourist attractions such as museums, galleries and gardens. It is a great city for the nightlife, however, drinks are expensive. Its a multicultural city where I find there’s a lot of opportunities waiting for people. I am based in south west London. It’s a beautiful part of the city, specially Notting Hill (portobello market and holland park) Kensington, Sloan Square, Richmond, Fulham.... Also on the other side of the city there is intriguing places such as Shoreditch, Camden town (cyberdog) and the markets. Some cheap eats for students I would highly recommend would be: Franco manca, Foodilic, Itsu, Nando’s and many more which have student discount on certain week days.

We visited it twice. By night the radio Rooftop was a little bit chilly. The breakfast was served in Zela London, it was delicious, and the place is really beautiful. London is a vibrant city that I have called home for the past 3 years. The cost of living is noticeably higher than other cities in the UK. However, with the opportunities and activities that are available in London, I completely believe that you get what you pay for.

London! I mean London the word that consists of 6 letters which in reality mean millions of opportunities, vivid memories and sleepless nights. There is no need to say how amazing the city is - you just need to come and experience it. It hosts tonnes of events every day, every hour and I bet every minute. Whether you're prepared to spend all your money or none at all-you'll enjoy this city. Come alone or in a company, it is the city where you'll meet amazing people who'll definitely be remembered for years. It's a hotspot for emerging talents: whether you're a designer starting your year at St. Martin's or a fabulous future City resident. There is a place for everyone. So no more words or even letter needed: just come and experience it yourself.

London is a great city that offers something for everyone. At first you might think it’s much more expensive as a student which for the most part, generally it is, however there are some great bars, clubs and things to do that are all cheap or free - just got to be willing and open to exploring and trying out new places. A personal favourite of mine is Dover Castle on Borough high street, a super cheap student bar that is always packed and full of good vibes. Another recommendation is an app called DUSK. It offers you free and discounted drinks with associated bars all over the city. Life is better in London in my opinion :)

London is a cultural hub with an endless choice of activities and resources, many of which are ideally suited to students who can greatly benefit from being placed in the centre of all action. With a great range of food, art, entertainment and more, there’s something for everyone. Living here feels like rollercoasting through a breathing, pulsing vortex that never turns off and you can always find something that grabs your attention. Studying in London really does make the whole city, your campus. There’s knowledge and inspiration to be taken from every corner.

onveniently located near Aldgate tube station, comfortable spacious room which was surprisingly quite given the hotels location, staff were friendly and helpful, especially during breakfas, which was great value for money katy Suffolk Sep 20, 2018 Perfect for a short break 5.0 Perfect for a short break Lovely new hotel in a great location - easily accessible via 3 Tube stations and walking super easy and short to the Tower, Shoreditch, Spitalfields, Leadehall St and the City. Everything you could need for a quiet and fuss-free stay. Change of plan meant extending our stay for 2 days and while we should have checked out and checked in the staff got round this for us. Blessings and the rest of the team on reception are friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend

London is the amazing for nights out, day trips and general cheap adventures! True, it can be expensive but there are so many student deals out there! A great night out is electric ballroom! But there are so many different markets and bars to explore day & night you simply can’t see it all!! Exploring brick lane is another favourite with all the vintage stores and markets... moreover the history (I know not everyone’s interested) but it really is amazing! Haunted bars and theatres... and cheap theatre tickets! There’s always something to do!

London is great for never getting bored. I think it's especially great having an opportunity to visit the many markets in the surrounding locations in London. Although supermarkets may seem like the easier option, they cant compare to meeting the merchants and learning things about your produce. This also helps to teach people on how to be more sustainable and smarter when choosing what to buy. The vast amount of restaurants and even just food stalls in London is a great source of inspiration for me to try to cook different and unexpected things at home. Definitely worth the money.

London is one of the most incredible places to be a student. With so many different options for eating out and going out, it is incredibly hard to get bored here. Even when money is short, there are plenty of free places to experience such as galleries and walks. Transport in London is also very convenient. Not only is everywhere incredibly well-connected, you rarely have to wait for more than a few minutes until the next bus or tube making it a very accessible city.

London is truly the best city in the world. It's so multicultural that you get to try food and cultures from around the world right here in the city of London! The night life is great too from great club venues and bars

Excellent range of nights out to suit all tastes. This includes larger London clubs and smaller, more local pubs and bars. Fantastic range of restaurants in the city catering to every cuisine with lots more popping up regularly. Multiple large shopping centres including Westfield Stratford and of course Oxford St, many smaller shopping districts dotted around to, everyone is easily accessible and commuting around the city is no issue at all due to the excellent transport links available

So for food there's an abundant variety. As it's such a large city there's always different things to do like the slide in Stratford one of the more unique things. Nights out activities may include shisha or nightclubs which abundant in the capital. The only negative is the value for money compared to other major cities things are a bit more expensive.

I moved to London from Brighton 3 years ago to begin my degree at UEL in Stratford East London. Outside Stratford station is westfields which has every shop you can think of restaurants, bars and the cinema! Across the road on the roof top of the car park is roofeast bar with food, music and games outside. London is buzzing 24/7 I would highly recommend this city to come and study.

Studying at Lambeth college in Clapham high street is great! There are many choices to dine out at. Different cultures, cuisines and the bars and night clubs that I enjoy on a Friday night. I would of enjoyed it more if the clubs nearby did student nights. As a matter of fact although there are many lovely restaurants, most do not take student discounts which is a bummer.
