Everything in London is accessible and fantastic fun but it's SO expensive. I love being able to go to the theatre or out for a meal but it's not always possible because things like rent and bills cost so much more here than anywhere else in the UK. The addition of the night tube is also a fantastic thing because it's really added to the ease in travel as again, ubers are really bloody expensive. Basically, London has everything you want but you have to come in knowing that you're going to never be able to have savings ever.

I have always lived in London and chose to study here because it would be familiar and that's one less thing to worry about when starting uni. The travel is great as we even have the night tube so whether you're going to uni or coming back from a night out you'll be sure to get home. There's a lot of diversity in culture and in food and areas like Holborn and Tottenham Court Road have plenty of student deals for places to eat. The ibly thing is that London is extremely expensive and you don't always get your value for money.

The city is wonderful, busy, and lively. The only thing is, it's incredibly expensive and surprisingly difficult to get different offers for students in many places though they may exist. However, it is very easy to get around.

Best thing about London is the food. You go from one street to the next and cover all the major cuisines all the way from Japanese to Mexican. But, the quality of food is also incredible. It's very difficult to find a (non-chain) restaurant that you dislike and that's what I love about living in this city.

London is great for the variation in choices for evenings out, although more often than not, it is not overly student friendly in terms of budget, perhaps why many nightclubs have disproportionate numbers of more middle aged clubbers, meaning some events can feel quite aged.

I thoroughly enjoy living in London! Night life is amazing, you will never run out of bars, pubs or clubs to visit! These can be expensive depending on where you go but there are often cheap student nights in clubs as well. London is always busy and there is always something going on! There's lots to do. The only downside about living in London is it is very expensive.

London has a tonne of things to do and see but it can be quite pricey. The public transport links are great especially with the Night Tube.

London is perhaps the best place to go is you want the the true breadth and depth of what can be offered in university life.

Attracting thousands of tourists monthly, Greenwich is a very multicultural and diverse Borough, which also happened to turn Royal in 2012. There are a lot of landmarks that Greenwich are recognised for especially The O2, The Cutty Sark Ship, some of Britain's royal Palaces and even Crossness Engines Sewers. It is said that the UK's first McDonald's was located in Woolwich, within the borough. The biggest fact that I can share is that the time around whole world runs according to the GMT which stands for 'Greenwich Meantime'. So Greenwich is definitely worth a visit.

London is by far the best city to have a quick meal with friends or a fancy date. The prices differ but as students we don't always get to pick the fanciest of foods

The shopping centres and shops in London are HUGE which is amazing for Christmas shopping and the food just adds to the whole atmosphere. The people are also very nice and friendly especially in all the cafes I've explored. I'd definitely recommend my friends from around the world to come for a little trip here.

Well London certainly has a lot to offer in terms of variety. However, the value for money tend to be very small as the prices are high for food of average quality.

Nights out are always lively and club life is always around. Some places offer good value for money and some others don't; it varies.

The shopping experience in this city is very good. A good amount of shopping centres and grocery stores. There are many restaurants aswell, In every area being unique. The only thing, is that London is quite an expensive place to live and shop.

Honestly to live here as a student can be good and bad (as with most places) mainly because there's so much choice of what to do with your time that you might go broke for a while .‚ As an avid lover of food I can 100% attest with full honesty that London is very culturally diverse thus the culinary is just as diverse if not more. Restaurants range from Korean BBQ, Peruvian buffets and Polish delights to American fast food and classic Italian. There's just a little bit of everything everywhere and more often than not at cheap prices. For example me and 4 other friends went to a Japanese bbq place on regent street, had a 3 course meal and spent £70 all together. Which brings me on to one of my top tips; remove your service charge. It depends from place to place but the average is 12.9% of your total bill is added as service charge, this IS NOT compulsory to pay so you can ask to remove it. Honestly it saves you at least a good £10 and when times are rough that can really make a big difference. And to finish off I just wanted to mention some of the best cheap or even inexpensive places I've been to and would definitely recommend: - sky garden (it's free and beautiful) - winterville (roller blading, themed nights out etc) - inamo (Asian restaurant with games rooms, karaoke, igloos etc. Not the cheapest but defo worth the money) - Tigertiger (best night club in London hands down!!!!) - la pollera (best Latino night club I've ever been to defo would reccomend and it's cheap)

it's a nice city and good for a night out however it can be quite expensive sometimes, especially for younger people.

I always loved London growing up. I'm originally from Yorkshire, so london was exciting but not scary to me having visited so much growing up. One huge downside is obviously the extreme rent prices however if you are looking to live in the higher zone 3 onwards you could find a good deal but don't expect a palace you will be disappointed. The night life is incredible and transport helps in every way. Always avoid peak time on the underground and other transports but if you can do that you are winning. Top tip. If you can find an apartment 10 minutes away from work but it more expensive: GET IT! The amount spent on Oyster cards and a hectic commute is well worth it and can sometimes even be cheaper.

Loads of clubs and places to eat; always something going on. However drinks and rent is expensive- so if you can try have a part time job e.g. tutoring or babysitting so you can still enjoy youself

London is not only a student city but has a little something for everyone. It is one of the best destinations for shopping and sightseeing as their is so much to sight see within the centre. I recommend anyone to stay for the food, shopping or if they are looking for things to do. London is sort of on the downside for the value of money, this can be difficult if you are on a budget as everything requires money now a days. Either way London is pretty decent and the people are very welcoming.
