The town has a lot of places to eat, there's a variety of shops but there could be more to do on nights out. The location is more suited to spring and summer.

The location isn’t great beacause the only line at angel is the northern line, which is not the best line, and also its very residential, not mucha ctivity around what our profeesions could be. We’re not really in touch with the outside, interessting opportunities, like other universities have. On the other hand food prices are okay, night out in that lication is almost impossible and shopping isn’t that great. Just the angel station mall and exmouth market.

Living in East London has both positives and negatives. The positives include nearby convenience stores (such as Tesco and Sainsburys), a plethora of restaurants and easy access to other areas through public transport, namely the underground. In terms of shopping, Westfield Stratford and Liverpool Street are closeby and have a range of stores with clothes, homeware, etc. The main downside to living in London is the prices. Tubes can become expensive, especially when travelling daily, and transport in and out of London is also pricey if not booked well in advance. The key to living in London as a student and getting the most out of your experience is budgeting!

Great spots, expensive nights out, expensive shopping, lots of people, nice restaurants, nice bars, busy traffic

Although it being the capital city, London doesn’t have too much to offer students. There are plenty of things to do on a low budget however these are exhausted pretty quickly with someone who wants to make the most of being in the city. Food prices are higher than elsewhere and with there being only a handful of shops like Aldi or Lidl it is hard to properly food shop for less than £50 a time. Travel is also an expense that many forget to factor in, with myself personally spending at least £10 a week getting to and from uni, not including recreational travel. The night life is also surprisingly disappointing since local councils are fighting to destroy club culture, and SU’s based around ‘politics’ rather than student relations and events. Although London is great, it’s not the best for someone on a limited budget.

Talking about london , it’s the best city in the world , but is it the same when we talk about different areas ? No it’s pretty different Each and every area have different cons and it’s i Portant to consider the area in which students should stay . I stay in Mile End , which is in the east of London , probably the most dangerous area I have ever been . It have a high crime rate , compared to all other areas.

Central location, easy access to rest of London via tube, lots of shops and places to eat nearby and pubs/clubs for after uni celebrations

The food in London is pretty decent and not as expensive as I thought it would be. There are tons of places to shop and the prices are pretty decent and are value for money.

London universities are often in the least accessible or straightforward areas to get to, local prices for food etc are a lot higher than in residential areas of the city, transport costs are crazy, but having the tube is a privilege, and it's nice to be in a diverse city not feeling like an outsider in my own country.

Harrow is expensive and it’s hard not having help as a student with discounts for things like socialising and food but other than that there’s a lot to do and many events you can participate in there is a variety of transportation which helps also

I enjoy being at my university but I would really enjoy if the uni bus was working 7 days a week but other than that it’s up to scratch

Very busy fast pace environment everybody is always in a rush! However there are some nice places to relax such as big parks and lots of cafe's to have breakfast in the morning. I'm not very a night out person and lots of the entertainment is a little expensive but the food is massively discounted so lots of evenings eating out.

London is very expensive place to live, but in regard to everything lokennights out shopping, trave, everything is easily accessible you don’t have to walk miles for the nearest shop when you’ve ran out of milk. London is always busy and fast paced so if you don’t like loudness I wouldn’t recommend moving here. For nights out shoreditch is the best area to go, food shopping Lidl you save a lot of money.

University is in a very good location, very convenient as there are bus stops and train stations nearby. Also, various restaurants around the area to eat for cheap. Lovely park nearby. The campus is pretty nice, however the library cannot accomodate half of the students during term time. The departments of subjects of study are well organised. Exams are fair and well srructured. The student union is involved quite a bit, however I believe they can do a lot more to recruit new students into societies. The university bar is very nice, great place to hajg out ajd relax, as well as party of events nights.

Decent location. About 15-20 minute walk from a Sainsbury's or Tesco. 25ish minute journey into the centre of London on one line, so that's good. Internet was okay, but would sometimes go out, leaving you no way to upload assignments. Hot water would go off too much, leaving you unable to shower. Everybody I met was kind and sociable. You can drink in the kitchens together, but music needs to be off (or quiet) by 11, otherwise the security will come. Only four bar stools per flat, even though there's six people in a flat, and you can't bring in extra seating. No real area for socialising in the flat, apart from one common room between the entire accommodation, which was okay. Cleaners come into kitchen and do a good job! Value for money rated low as when you pay £162 a week, you don't expect to lose internet, or have a tiny room or even lose hot water for hours on end. And that 11am Friday fire alarm, god... Good people there, but pretty pricey. But what do you expect in London? :)

Specifically east London/mile end area. There isn’t much to do for a night out and you must travel to other areas of london

Food is very expensive and shopping depending on the area can be a hassle, the nightlife can be good but again very expensive and especially if you will have to take an Uber to get home. Eating out is always a disappointment and it will make you broke for the rest of the month

I go to uni in camberwell and live in east dulwich in London - I knew it was going to be expensive for food, shopping and nights out ect.. but my advice would just be to make sure you don’t spend all your money at once because it is so difficult to buy essentials when you’ve got no money!

My uni is Queen Mary. There is little to do in terms of shopping in the area of Whitechapel and Mile End, so would be better to head to Stratford or Shoreditch for that. The same for entertainment such as clubbing. The food is mainly Indian cuisine but at least decent. Honestly, not the best of areas but good location to travel to Central London and other interesting areas that have more to offer.

London is a fun and unique location. There are so many locations within London that can offer you whatever you need. Shopping is great, from the amazing independent stores you well known streets and with fast and frequent transport links getting around is easy! There is always somewhere to eat and go out. The nightlife is busy with loads of variety, there’s always somewhere to go. The only issue with London is the prices! Everything is expensive here from travel to food to accommodation. To live here you need to also be working and quite a bit. However if you can afford it living in London even if it’s just for a year is a must! And I don’t regret it at all.

Great location and access to nightlife eg restaurants and bars but can often not feel like a uni experience. However, there is always something to do and things to see so would definitely recommend living here.

The location is great In west London. There are good transportation links with Ealing station a 15minute walk from the university, as is South Ealing station. The area is also very safe

I go to uni in Greenwich, it’s a great location because you can get into central London really easily and quickly, but Greenwich is also a nice place to hang out- with the park, lots of restaurants and pubs and things to do.
