Leicester is a great place to go to as it has lots of things to do there. There are hundreds of food places, shops, cafes, tourist attractions and much more. There is generally a lot of stuff for students to do when they are out like clubs and pubs and much more

Night life is good as there is somewhere to go out dancing every night of the week. There is a good variety of music, from your classic night club to alternative and rock night clubs. There is a good atmosphere due to the football games that are regularly on, however prehaps due to Leicester being a relatively small city there is not a great deal to do other than shopping and partying. That being said in the recent years Leicester has been improving and providing more entertainment places such as a great crazy golf place. It is important to note that although I have felt safe in Leicester, as it is a growing city, there have been more occurances in which I and many others have had reason to feel unsafe due to crimes such as mugging, theft (especially bike theft) and burgalry often targeting students.

So Leicester is very diverse but very small. If you are a student Leicester is the place for party’s on the weekend and enjoying quietness within the week. It’s limited to things you can do though as there isn’t many places to go for example there isn’t no crazy golf or ice skating however It has a cinema, boost trampolining so it’s about how you make it fun for yourself.

Cebtre of the country so not too far from most peoples home around the UK. Good variety of shops in the city shopping centre, Highcross. Varied bars and clubs, republic and mosh would be the main clubs, but bars like locker room and walkabout are also a good motive. Cheap on student drinks, but no pub better than the bowling green. Petty crime is quite high so be aware, and just there is a lot of homeless people in town.

Good for food. Very diverse and multicultural. Some good shopping centres and decent value for money. Not a lot to do if staying for long periods of time and not many tourist sites.

Great city overall with great restaurants and good cinema. Decent night life. Multicultural. Lots of different things to do. High cross shopping is great...especially at Christmas time with all the lights

Leicester is very multicultural which is good, there are lots of different restaurants serving all kinds of food. Shopping is good, the highcross and haymarket are good as well as a fruit and veg market. Nightlife is not great in own experience. Clubs aren't great and can be rough - especially when events are on. Certain parts of Leicester are dodgy and I would avoid - such as bede park. I would not reccoment walking through there on your own in the evening. My friend got mugged.

The town is super close to campus and also from almost all uni accommodations which is convenient. There are a few places to shop around and plenty of eating places whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner as well as loads of bars and pubs.

Leicester is not a great night out as their is only 2 clubs really and one is rubbish and quite expensive

Leicester is and alright place, if you want to do some shopping. Nightlife isn't exactly great but that's subject to opinion. Plenty of places to go out for food, from McDonald's to restaurants like Pho and Nando's. Value for money isn't bad - there's a great deal to chose from in terms of places to eat out and clothing/shopping stores.

Leicester is a good city, depending on where you live of course, I live in the outskirts of leicLeice and it's so lovely, the drives, scenery, sunsets. Everything is perfect. The city centre is pretty good too, it's lovely and safe.

Living in the city of leicester ( what we called leii) was intresting. It's a complete different vibe to london for sure. The shops were basically the same. Just that they didnt have much corner shops open all night. Night life was intresting because its a combination of the leicester locals and students. In terms of food I wish they had a variety of different restaurants but its all worth your money. There wasnt much activities to do well the only thing i did was bowling, flip out and cinema all the time. Everything was usually far away

Leicester can provide very different experiences on a night out with friends, Mosh is always a good time and is a good price for entry and drinks whilst Club republic has a very hostile atmosphere both inside and out. In the centre of town there's a large shopping centre with a wide variety of shops and good places to eat as well. The public transport is a bus network which runs fairly efficiently but is overpriced.

In Leicester we have the Best halal food. Shopping here is great too especially in highcross as we have a variety of shops I would highly highly recommend.

Food is plentiful with many cheap choices that taste great. Shopping isn't too bad with a few stores like Wellgosh standing out. There isn't much to do in terms of entertainment, cinema is fairly expensive.

Highcross is a fantastic shopping centre, up in the leagues with the Bullring. Plenty of bars, clubs and places to play pool

In a reasonable location in that it is only a 20 minute walk from the city centre, or 10 minute bus ride. There are buses every 10 minutes to the halls of residence which are 3 miles from university. The only downside is that if you only have a 1 hour gap between lectures, you do not really have time to go into town so would have to bring food or buy it from the University shop. There are lots of good clubs in town though which is useful in 2nd and 3rd year if living in the city centre. There are buses which run from halls to the university 02 academy for first year. There is a big shopping centre in town which has everything you could need. The downside is other activities, which are often a long bus ride away.

Night outs are fun and some clubs have special student nights with low price drinks and tickets e.g. Monsta Mondays where there was a bouncy castle and a mechanical bull in the club. Shopping can be good with high cross and the market. There's also a trampoline place aswell that you can visit.

Leicester is a nice town with everything you need, but after a year you can easily have found and done everything there is to do in the community.

Completely average in every waaaaay. Night life is ok. Shopping centre is good. Lots of access to food. Everything is cheap

Leicester is s great location for those who like to go out and about on a budget. Everything is relatively cheap in the whole (compared the the rest of the county) but there is still a huge variety of things to do and places to go.

Too far from uni - located in a place called oadby which is around 3 miles from Leicester Uni. But located in a nice area . Have a bus which runs for student nights out which is handy. The village club could be used to host more events such as being turned into a club

In Leicester everything is reasonably close together which is the good part. Some nice food places , couple decent bars but apart from that there is nothing to do for any ages really. When people visit me I struggle finding things to do

It’s a pretty good place to live, however the uni itself is quite far from certain amenities and as such is quite frustrating
