My university is near town so it’s very good for food options. As all the good options are in the city centre it’s good that my university is in walking distance from these. There is kevlingrove meat by which is great as well as that is a nice park. The west end is also very near my university which is a good place for culture and art. The kelvingrove art gallery’s is a perfect place to go to relax and study or get your mind off things. There are loads of nightclubs and pubs in my university’s surrounding area which is great for going after finishing university for the summer.

Glasgow is a one of a kind type city. The people there have their own way of doing everything and I love it. Everything is humourous and everyone is happy to speak to you. It's easy to get help finding your way about because people are more than happy to have a chat with you.

Glasgow is a fabulous city for students and creative people. It's great for events, nights out, food and always has something interesting going on throughout the city. This is the reason why I love the city of Glasgow!!

Glasgow has fantastic transport links and the east/west/south sides of the city are absolutely loaded with fantastic food, amazing coffee and live music venues. Perfect city to learn and grow in!

Glasgow Caledonian University is the best university in Glasgow. It is smack bang in the centre of the city putting you at a minutes walk away for any amenities you may need. The students and staff are all very friendly. There are 3 canteens on campus that have excellent well priced food, and they have thebest student union that plan the best events. As it is located in the city right beside a bus station and a 10 minute walk fron the train station and subway, it is very easy to get to and makes for a great starting point for any night out, especially due to its very well priced Uni Bar.

A great city with such friendly locals, a huge assortment of nightlife venues and bars, fantastic array of shops on the major shopping streets, and tends to be cheaper than the big major cities of London etc.

Glasgow is a large but friendly city in Scotland. The nightlife is very diverse, so there's a place for everyone - if its an electronic dance club or a quirky bar. The city has the biggest shopping area of Scotland. Living here is great as everything is at your fingertips.

Glasgow is a great city to live in. Being the biggest city in Scotland it offers great nightlife venues and numerous shopping opportunities not to mention cinemas and other attractions.

Glasgow University is located in a prime situation for travel, accommodation, night life and most importantly - food! With glasgow subway connecting the west end to the south and city centre for a small price, travel around glasgow is very easy and Simple to navigate. Shopping in the area is vast and has a lot of selection with the city centre so nearby. The night life is one of the best in Scotland and there are plenty of places to go. Whether that be a small, local bar or a nightclub, there is something for everyone- drinks are decent priced, however entry into some places may be a little steep. There is lots to do, including cinema, walk around kelvingrove park or do something different and visit escape rooms. The vast variety of restaurants makes it near impossible to stay in and cook! Good student deals in lots of places around the city and the wide selection makes it perfect for eventhe most fussy eaters.

I have lived in Glasgow for 2 1/2 years now and I moved here for college as I use to live on an island. I honestly think it ticks all the boxes for a student life with cool bars and clubs for nights out with plenty of events happening; lots of great places to eat including a variety of places that cater for vegans; venues for concerts; shopping centres and an interesting variety of shops - both high and low end; a friendly community and lots of clubs/groups for whatever your interest whether you're into wakeboarding, salsa dancing or beekeeping!

GCU is a great university in terms of location as is right next to the city centre and across the road from the main bus station in Glasgow so is easy to go where you want. The uni is also surrounded by student accommodations which is helpful when you just want to roll out of bed in the morning and go to class!

Great location with plenty of choice of things to do both at night and during the day. Wide selection of places to eat which are all readily accessible. Transport is cheap. On the most part food and drink is cheap especially for students with many places offering discounts or deal. This is especially apparent in the very centre along bath street etc.

Glasgow is a great city to be a student in! There is an abundance of clubs, bars, cafes and restaurants - most of which offer student deals and discounts. You can walk anywhere and everywhere in under an hour, and the transport is easy. There’s also big parks to enjoy in the summer. You can hop on the train or bus to Edinburgh easily and cheaply as well. Great place to be young!

Great place for students for night life and socialising. State of the art library and gym. More affordable accommodation is being built

Strathclyde university is locatee in the north east of the Glasgow's city centre. Despite this, the university is still an easy walk from central station and Queen Street station as well as bus stops. On top of that, Strathclyde is situated in a perfect location In my opinion. Everything is within walking distance, from shopping to transport to day entertainment then night life. Strathclyde has so much to offer when it comes to non-academic activities and and having a great social life

I am currently a student at UWS Paisley campus in Scotland. Paisley is a big town, with plenty of restaurants, pubs, shops and two nightclubs. However, it’s really just a party town at the weekend! Glasgow is only a 10 minute train trip away, which is very handy. The location of the university is perfect because the cost of living is quite cheap in such a quiet town yet the city is quick and easy to access. Glasgow is a fun, vibrant, student-friendly city with plenty of activities to choose from. If you prefer partying or eating out you will have plenty of choice, with drinks and meals being relatively cheap in certain bars! Or if you prefer a scenic day out, the city has plenty of parks and museums to explore.

Glasgow's great, it's a city with so much to do, and so much hidden away if you know where to look, the subway makes getting around easy, and there's a massive range of bars and clubs, even if most of the clubs are functionally somewhat similar, and eventually you'll find yourself frequenting just a couple if that's your thing. Shops range from the big supermarkets you'll need as a student, to a frankly insane amount of small, quirky stores selling things that'll make great gifts or just fun decorations. There's restaurants and fast food places basically everywhere, and you'll likely be able to get anything you're looking for, though prices can be a tad high, but that comes with a big city. In terms of entertainment, I've never really had a lack of options, but sometimes a lack of any that actually appeal to me. Overall, an amazing place, 100% recommended

Glasgow is such an amazing town, couldnt’t think of a better place to stay! The people are all so friendly here and as things happen that could only ever happen in Glasgow The nights out are always good. Although it can be mega busy, you’re always guaranteed a class night! The clubs Bamboo and Garage are my 2nd homes, could never go anywhere else (also, £1.50 drinks on a Wednesday at Bamboo - no brainier!!) I prefer the shopping on Buchanan Street to that of Princes Street in Edinburgh. There’s so much more choice and it’s so nice looking down the hill at the top of Buchanan Street onto the rest of Glasgow’s busy town. You also have the options of Silverburn and Braehead which are also really good places to go! Fooooood - amazing in Glasgow. So much choice and could have a different cuisine everything! Also, so many cocktail, gin and vodka bars for a busier, classy night with the gals (or guys!)

Great location, good if you're not living in city centre ad the bus station is right next to it. Surrounded by numerous things to do at night time and nice places to eat out. Close to many food shops but also has numerous food choices on campus

University of Glasgow is in the heart of the west end of the city, a place filled with students. As a result, there is a vast number of pubs and bars, Ashton Lane being a popular choice for students to visit in the evenings. Only a few clubs exist in this area of Glasgow as most are in the centre, but it’s only a 10 minute taxi/train/subway ride away so very easy to get to. For someone like me who doesn’t go out clubbing all that much, the clubs in the west end are enough. There are lots of cafes for food about the uni which my friend and I frequent often between lectures. We like to change it up every week or so by trying a new one, and considering we are both second year, we’ve not ran out yet! They are mostly along byres road and Dumbarton road, the streets where if you fancy a browse you’d be able to find all the shops of the west end too. Nothing is too spread out in the west end, so as a result everything is easy to find and get to.
