Glasgow is without a doubt the greatest city in the world - for anyone, not just students. It is an amazing place to go to university, the culture is brilliant and everyone is always up for a good time and having fun. It's a unique place and somewhere you need to live in for a while to fully understand and appreciate.

Amazing, right next to all the shops and bars just a short 5 minute walk onto george square where you have lovely bars restaurants and cafes to stop and then an extra 5 minute walk to buchanan street and argyle street filled with lots of shops to have a look through and right next to all the clubs so you can walk to and from the clubs on a night out

Great centre location, close to shops, bus station, two train stations and everything you could possibly need. Could not ask for a better location for a university.

The university is situated at the top of the city centre, around a 5 minute walk to the busiest shopping street in Glasgow. Straight infront of the uni there is a Glasgow main bus station and a 5 minute walk to nearest subway and 10 minute to either Glasgow central train station and Glasgow queen street train station. As it is in the city centre, there is almost everything you need, shops, food, pub, clubs. Glasgow is excellent for shopping, night out and amazing food round the city all within different price ranges.

The university is in a good location in the west end, close to lots of bars and places to eat. It is near Kelvingrove Park and botanic gardens, and easily accessible by train, bus or subway.

There are a lot of clubs available in Glasgow city centre such as Campus, Firewater, Cathouse and Kokomo. These clubs range from ages of 18 to 35 since there are a lot of music genres that would interest each age group such as rock or pop. There are also themed events at each nightclub most nights so it would attract attention of students especially those that are new to the area. For food, Glasgow is well known for having a lot of choices since it pretty much does all cuisines ranging from Indian, American, Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Japanese. Everything is easy to find in the centre since there is a lot of signage available. Moving onto shopping, there are a lot of outlets that are accessible to the public with the options of very affordable to branded products.

Really easy access to shopping and eateries, lovely area with cherry blossoms and relatively clean streets. Many clubs and concert venues nearby do nights out, such as the O2 ABC, the garage etc

There’s so much to do in Glasgow and lots of different options for food, night life and any activities!! There’s also a lot of stunning parks and museums, I am never bored here. The local transport comes within every 4-10 minutes which makes getting around Glasgow very easy and convenient.

The location of Glasgow university is the only thing that could be improved as it is far from central and Queen Street but it's close to subway stations so it's fine, as far as night life and shopping, you can't beat it.

Easily accessible from either central station, queen street, or the subway. Right in the middle of town with loads of places to go and things to do

Glaagow Caledonian is in the perfect spot for grtting the full experience of Glasgow. Its so eash to finsih a long day of uni and then just wind down by walking 5 minutes to a brillaint pub/restaurant for destressing drinks/food. By going through Glasgow on a weekday as a student it can be such a cheap day or night out and it can all start at the brand new union for caledonian where you can buy starbucks, food, cocktails and even play a bit of pool with your friends before taking a walk up Sauchiehall street to continue.

Glasgow in my opinion is one of the best student cities. Having visited various other cities such as Belfast, Edinburgh, Leeds and more, I believe Glasgow is among the top. Every day of the week has a student night. For example, Kokomo will be the most popular nights on a Monday, Juicy Tuesdays at Kushion on Bath Street, Wednesday Night Bamboo and Jelly Baby on Thursdays at the ABC. Each of these nights will have various drink deals where you can purchase decent alcoholic beverages for £3. However these club prices do increase at the weekend. Moreover, the restaurants all over Glasgow are tremendous. You can get student deals in many places such as Bar Soba (2 for 1) and it’s always worth checking sites like Groupon as you’ll always find midweek deals that I have very much taken advantage of. West Regeant Street is well known for its strip of unique burger restaurants. The shopping in Glasgow City Centre is like most cities, however the choice of shops is improving with the likes of a new Victoria’s Secret getting built and previously a big new H&M was opened. In terms of things to do and entertainment, there is The Stand comedy club where you can see well known comedians for cheaper than they would charge at a big arena show, theatres, The Hydro for gigs or many lovey parks.

10/10 for nights out, firewater and driftwood are very cheap during the weak and are situated in the city centre at the bottom of sauchiehall street. Also highly recommend the 02 Abc, they hold a rock themed night called propaganda every Friday which is always busy. There is a great variety of shops for all budgets, with a new Victoria’s Secret opening up soon in Buchanan galleries. There are loads of things to do such as visiting kelvin grove museum, Glasgow green etc. Great city, great people!

I am at Glasgow Caledonian University. What's great about the locations of this university is that it's next to everything that a student wants or needs. Nightlife, food, shopping and transport are right around the corner within five minutes walk, all whilst getting a good value for your money

Really good for nights out and food, there's a lot of options for every taste. Also lots of shopping and Strathclyde university in the centre.

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, and third most populous in the United Kingdom. Historically part of Lanarkshire, the city now forms the Glasgow City council area, one of the 32 council areas of Scotland; the local authority is Glasgow City Council.

The university of Glasgow is in a great location as it has Ashton lane right next to it and many transport links into the centre of town.
