Thi is overall a very nice and modern student accommodation. The location is amazing - it is a 5 minute walk to the Scottish Parliament, the Holyrood Palace and Holyrood Park, and a short walk to Waverley Station. It is ideal for all students - a 10 minute walk to Central Campus where the shuttle bus to KB stops as well. However, the rooms are way too small. There is not enough storage space, the wardrobe is too small and there is no space to keep your shoes. This only seems to be a bigger problem for girls than it is for boys. The temperature in the room is not ideal. I found it to be often too cold during the winter and I was told that there is nothing the University can do about that. This, again, depends mostly on the location of the room. The common room is nice and often busy. There is a big, modern and clean laundry room that is not too expensive to use, compared to other halls. The building seems safe and homey, but there were a few cases of intruders, especially in the lower floors. It is average value for the money - I believe the biggest flaw is the size of the room.

Shower is constantly blocked despite calling ENGIE. Laundry door took almost a month to fix. Every thing in this building seems to be falling apart, despite being a relatively new building. Lift broke down once. Electricity in the pantry went down twice in a month (spoilt food). Radiator doesn't work and you're freezing on colder days. Room is pretty tiny compared to pollocks or salisbury court (which has a bigger bed) but you do get your own bathroom. Wifi is absolute crap, even after getting a router. Ended up using my mobile hotspot. But great location, near george square campus, pleasance gym and there's a Tesco less than 5 min walk away. Sometimes noisy at night as the location is near the nightlife district but not too bad and depending on your room, you might get a nice view of Arthur's seat. Also, more expensive than pollocks despite being self-catered.

Pretty great location and the rooms are a decent size. The communal kitchen means there is almost always someone to talk to, however a lot of the residence are quite disrespectful and messy. Obviously this happens in all places but its almost worse here because who treats strangers like that? Rooms are nice and its pretty close to university buildings provided you aren't in Kings. But there's a free bus so not too much of a bother. Shout out to ensuite bathrooms. #firstbathroomiveeverhadtomyself Very fast internet sometimes gets a bit slow if loads of people are using it, but just get an ethernet cable and you'll be good
