All the rooms have been recently renovated and are lovely. The showers are better than my shower at home and the cleaning service was great. It was a very social house and the common room was fabulous for pres and getting to know everyone at the beginning of the year. Pollock is a catered collection halls, so of course Holland House students had access to the meals at the JMCC and socializing with all the other houses in close proximity. It was also only a 20min walk from main campus and 30min from the science campus, so was ideally located. I couldn’t have asked for a better first year accommodation.

Holland house is situated in pollock halls of residence on 18 Holyrood Park Road, this is a quick 20mins walk to campus. The location is great with many shops/cafes/supermarkets within a 10 min walk radius. However the uni gym is a 30min walk, which is barable but quite long. The room and facilities are great! Amazing bathroom and a great size. Although the pantries are very small and not ideal for socialising. With very little cupboard and fridge space. The social experience has been great, Holland is not very big so it's a friendly community

Holland House was very nice to live. Facilitues used to be very old but after the refurbishment it looks like a hotel. There is also a music room and a computer room which are very useful and helpful. It is really easy to meet friends at the Common Room and also the food served at the cafeteria is generally good. I really liked living at Holland House.

Holland house is a house for posher students and is definitely not as social as many of the other houses. It seems attractive due to the en suite bathrooms but the result of this is that people rarely leave their room and so do not share the same level of friendship as people from other houses such as Baird, Ewing, Grant, Lee or Turner. It was a nice place to stay with a great common room but ultimately, you go to halls for the social experience, which is sadly lacking in Holland House

The rooms were pretty good but they were just about to be refurbished so they're much better now, the common room was awesome, best part of holland house because you got to meet lots of friendly people and play table tennis or pool and have pres, the food at the jmcc was pretty good, the dinners hour pretty repetitive though so you'd get bored after the first 6 months but the breakfast/brunch was always decent and a good place to talk to friends
