Great location. Pub near by can be noisy when it's warm. The facilities are very poor. Circuit laundry is a rip off. Electrics were very bad and caused the lights and electrics to go off often.

Right down from the campus - but down a steep little hill, you'll get good muscles climbing up that every morning! These halls are not the fanciest or most modern - breezeblock walls inside and shoddy lighting - but the furniture is all decent quality and the space is quite good. Bedrooms are all ensuite and one big room per flat allocated randomly. Fair amount of floor space, though the en suite is tiny! I found it to be a really sociable experience, forming really good friendships with the other flats in my block - unlike some of the other halls each block has only 4 flats. There is a common room area but it wasn't used much when I was there. Quite a good space though, with a TV, sofas, ping pong tables and fridge. Should be used more! Is locked sometimes though at night. Seabraes is a great location as it is right down from the university, but far enough apart that it is more quiet (away from the noise of the student union). Right next to the bridge to the riverside, which leads to the 24hr Tesco (so handy for shopping or midnight ice-cream cravings) and the train station. It's also really close to Magdelen green, a great place to walk/run/BBQ/play frisbee. Overall, I really enjoyed living in Seabraes. The quality of the accommodation is not the best compared to the newer halls, but the location and the people more than made up for it!

It's very beautiful and serene on the outside. The flats are comfortable but mediocre. The walls of the rooms are like a prison cell's which would be fine if it was 250- 300 pounds per month but for 600 definately not worth it

I have enjoyed the student halls in terms of making good friends with my roommates but that’s where it ends, everything else is horrible. The beds are quite small for single beds, there isn’t an actual headboard and the mattress slides off th bed if you move too much. The walls look like I have committed a felony and I’m currently serving a prison sentence. The staff working in the halls are terrible people as they lie about fixing things that we have complained about and then try to charge us for it even though it was broken before we arrived. We pay way too much for this tiny room, £604 to be exact. I also have two roommate who are absolutely disgusting as they leave the kitchen filthy and never do their duties that are on the rota. But on the plus side we get en suites, but they’re so small the shower curtain sticks to me when I’m showering. The couches in the communal area are not couches, they’re cushioned chairs that have been pushed together so when you wanna get comfy you can’t because the chairs slide around. So would I recommend staying in Seabraes halls, no I wouldn’t unless you really need friends and that makes you desperately and kind of sad.

If you have the delight of being assigned Seabraes 1-32 for your halls, please for the love of God reject the offer and go private. The base rate is £600 for aged, worn out rooms. The en-suits are fab to have, however, are poorly constructed. You share with six other people, making a total of 7 residents. You will share what could be a spacious or cramped kitchen. I had the pleasure of one half the size of the flat downstairs. The hallways have no ventilation, and your room will always smell stale no matter how hard you try. The cost of these halls when compared to others the University offer is an actual piss-take. You pay pretty much the same for newer accommodation that is better built, bigger and overall more comfortable to live in. The only thing I would rate would be the onsite staff, who are lovely and really do try there best with the shit-stain that is Seabraes 1-32. But seriously please, please, please do not move in here. It is so not worth it. Seriously please do NOT make the mistake that I made... You get a nice common room though.

Close to a big Tesco so perfect for grocery shopping. Close to local amenities. Although not in campus, it's only a 10 minute walk to most buildings on campus and being closer to the Tesco makes it worth it.

The bedrooms were a lot like a jail cell and you felt trapped in them. Also weren’t allowed to decorate the walls so left with brick work walls that looked awful, Tiny bathroom that’s almost impossible to work with.

Room was small, old and dated. Most of the flat needed a whole a refurb. Only one double bed in halls was also pretty rubbish we should all have had yeah same seen as we were paying so much.

Seabraes 1-32 are ideally located a 10 minute walk from the main University campus. There are plenty of shops and facilities nearby. The city centre is also not far away. My room is a fair size and has all the essentials however the shower is small. All in all I believe seabraes is a pretty good halls of residence.

Seabraes 1-32 is genuinely a place you won’t want to ever stay in again. The buildings are a representation of a brown council estate flat and the insides resemble a prison. The interior is made up on white breezeblock bricks and the carpets are green. The bathroom is tiny but the light oak furniture is nice in the room! However, it is in the perfect location for getting home and back from the DUSA, as it’s like a 5 minute walk, 10 minutes into the shopping centre and from Tesco!! Which make its handy. Oven, microwave and kettle all broke within 2 weeks and the mantience people had no respect and simply blamed us for breaking it: resulting in numerous charges. DONT LIVE HERE
