Living in Badock Hall is a far better experience than I could have anticipated. The rooms are recently refurbished, so are modern and clean, and are surprisingly spacious compared to my initial thoughts. Having been given the nickname 'K-dock', the residence really lives up to its name in terms of its sociable nature and tendency for after parties. If you're keen to escape the main city, Stoke bishop is the place to go as it's a 20 minute bus ride to the Uni and acts as it's own little village. A few complaints would include the fact that there are only 7 washing machines between however many hundred students, paired with Stoke Bishop's inability to come up with an efficient postage system. Also, some sort of social space to chill would be much appreciated, as the kitchen gets pretty disgusting after a good night and an area not covered in spilt alcohol would be lovely! I do, however, have to credit the food, which is not as terrible as expected, and I am very grateful for the fact that self catered students are able to pay for meals when we don't feel like cooking!
