There are so many places to eat and really good vegan options. And being by the sea is also amazing. The lanes are a good place to just walk about and look at all the cute shops and cafes. Night outs are also great, all the club's are all pretty close to each other so it's really convenient.

Brighton is probably my favorite city, it's essentially a fun and lively city that always has lots going on regarding entertainment, events, music, theatre, art etc. it's incredibly unique compared to most British cities as it has iconic sites such as the pier - which isn't great fun, the beach and seafront and my favorite the lanes - streets of quirky, interesting independent shops, vintage stores, coffee stops and cafes, of which there is a huge variety for veggies and vegans in particular!!

a friendly and lively, brighton (and hove) is a wonderful city on the south coast. with access to the beach, many shopping options, and more independent cafes than you can imagine, its definitely worth a visit; or a longer term stay.

Beautiful seaside town with great unique shops situated in the lanes as well as usual high street shops in the mall. Loads of things to do in the summer with the beach/pier etc as well as hundreds of unique eaterys and quirky bars to visit. Cinemas are central. Brighton has a great feel about it. Nothing but artsy happy vibes. Always something to do and great entertainment all year round. Night life is okay however could be improved with larger clubs.

I lived in Barcelona and still missed this hedonistic city. There are so many beautiful and open minded people here that help make it what it is: a hedonistic, creative paradise. There is something for everyone in this cosmopolitan hub.

The widest range of eateries, bars, clothes shops and other retail stores- a must when on the south coast!!

Now in my 5th year living in Brighton, I'm still amazed by how much there is to do and see. Brighton has the liveliness and ambience of big cities like London, with plenty of countryside to get your dose of nature too, and all of which easy to get to. My favourite part of Brighton is easily the food scene. With an extensive list of restaurants, cafes and pop up restaurants there is plenty to explore, especially with the wide range of cuisines available. The music and entertainment scene in Brighton is also buzzing. Not just all the gigs, shows, clubs and concerts and the Brighton fringe festival, but also just when walking down the street.

A beautiful city. Full of things to do with great restaurants and all the popular shops. The beach is one of the best sights with lots of attractions across the shore. A residential area but full of students so lots of great nightlife

Brighton is a great city for students. It has great bars and clubs that are priced with the student in mind. Loads of places that do student discount. Town has a decent amount of shops. Has a number of gyms too.

I love living in Brighton. I did my undergraduate in a much smaller town so it's refreshing to be somewhere where there is so much going on. Everything you need is within walking distance, plus the beach with a bear, clubs on the sea front, large retail shops and lots of restaurants, bars and pubs. The transport in Brighton is good, although gets slightly worse as you go further out the centre (as in any city).

Brighton is the best place for music, vegan food and lots of independent shops. The BOK shop is my ultimate favourite for vegan burgers, and Concorde 2 is fab for music. There are so many things to do in Brighton, from nights out at the Haunt go shopping in the lanes, you never get bored! One thing I would say is in order to get value for money on nights out, food etc would to be mostly do things on weekdays. Wriggle is also an excellent app for deals on independent restaurants, as is obviously apps such as UNiDAYS and student beans. One thing I would improve would be for there to be shops like the range, home bargains and B&M. Also, despite students being able to get slightly cheaper bus tickets, I do think universities should do more to make it even cheaper as often some students do not go to uni due to being unable to afford travel.

I find Brighton is incredible for nights out! The nightlife is always buzzing with amazing offers on cocktails before 12! The restaurants are the best and even offer student discount which is amazing for those studying with not a lot of money. Although rent is more expensive than other places, it is worth the money to live in such a beautiful area.

Brighton is a great place to live in and visit. It is a really vibrant city with lots to do. It is a young and arty city with plenty of hipster coffee shops and vintage cloth shops. No one really judges anything in Brighton you could see someone wearing the most outrageous outfit and in Brighton no one would care. There are plenty of bars, pubs and clubs you can go to if you want to go on a night out and plenty of shops around the city centre if your looking for a great outfit.

Brighton is a city on the coast bursting with life and energy. There is so much potential for life in Brighton with housing to suit everyone from students to families to the retired, we have popular attractions such as the new i360 tower to view Brighton's most incredible coast line, delicacies from all over the world and venues that run all night long for those night life lovers.

I love Brighton! I feel so much safer here than in London. The buses run until really late and there's always something to do or see, especially for music students.

Throughout my year and a half that I've been living in Brighton while at uni, I have never had a bad experience. I can easily see why it's voted the happiest city for students in the world. In terms of diversity for restaurants, Brighton has anything you could ever want. When it comes to night life, there are so many different options for different types of tastes. Of course, one downside is how much renting in Brighton costs, with prices pretty much equalling London. Personally, that's a small price to pay for such a great city to live in.

I love Brighton, the culture down here is amazing the night life is wicked, I always feel safe and touch wood so far I have never had any problems down here. It's great having the beach local too. And the clubs are really good there's a lot of choice. Honestly I love Brighton. Also good for transport too, one train from Brighton goes straight into central London so that's good too.

Brighton is a great student city and full of young people. Transport is good but pretty expensive compared to other places like London!! The food is amazing and there's such a good variety. Overall Brighton has a great vibe and people are generally happy and inclusive so it's a nice place to live. The beach is lovely as well.

There are a lot of clubs for all ages, specially for students. There are many restaurants near the pier, and a walk through the lanes is beautiful.

There are countless things to do in Brighton. It's my favourite place to be. I'm a photographer and filmmaker and I often find the best shooting locations in and around Brighton. There's activities for all the family, young and old. The pier and The Laines are popular choices, but I usually find the most interesting locations when I set off without a plan or a map. Attempt to get lost in Brighton and you'll have an amazing day!

There could not be a better place to be a student than Brighton, there is everything you could ever want from a town and then some! Not forgetting being right next to the beautiful English coast! There's food for everyone of all diets and nights out for anyone of any walk of life - you can't go wrong
