There's a large variety of places to eat with amazing food, most that are pretty cheap. Most buses are every 10-30 minutes and there are also taxis that are pretty quick!

Good student nights in a variety of clubs most nights of the week and a large variety of things to do; such as shopping and go to the beach. The nightclubs are good and a good variety of music and events.

Whatever your taste in music there's a night out for you and whatever your taste in food there's a place for you to dine out. Takes a little bit of exploration to discover hidden gems but well worth it once you find your favourite place in town that's specifically for you

Great city near the sea. Very touristy and lots of international people there, as well as a young population due to the university being there.

The town is great with so much variety and choice for everything and everyone. For students there are so many clubs and different nights out there is something for everyone no matter what their taste and loads of great restaurants and deliveries for the hangover the next day. It's a very pretty place to live as well with the beach, pier and lanes it doesn't get much better. Transport is also amazing which is a big factor for me and the buses run so regularly with so many different buses going to different locations throughout Brighton and the cost being relatively affordable though it could be better.

There are lots of places to eat, especially for vegans which I find harder in other cities. Overall it's quite expensive to live here however it's worth it for the overall friendly vibes :-)

Brighton is ultimately the best place to be. It's whole vibe is indescribable. There is constantly plenty to do, from the laines, to the variety of pubs and of course, the beach and pier is what truly makes Brighton.

Brighton is comparable to a little bit of London. Difference is that it's a small seaside city so you can enjoy the sea front and view. It does have the main Churchill Square where all the shops are conveniently placed. Transport can be quite pricey but students do get 25% bus tickets. Shops and cafes usually close around 6pm so doesn't give many opportunities for late night browsing. Prices are almost the same as London would be so or sometimes more.

Brighton is the most beautiful city. The perks of a small town feel with a busy city buzz and next to the sea. Definitely the nicest place I can imagine spending three years of education. However, it is also the most expensive place I can think of that's outside of London which can be a struggle.

Brighton is a very vibrant city with so much to offer from the Beach & the Pier to shops in Churchill Square. The food is delicious and there's so much to do that you'll never be bored visiting here. I definitely recommend coming here to live as a student. And the nightlife is exciting. Brighton has a few nightclubs in close proximity to each other so you always have options when you are on a night out.

Brighton is a lovely place to go to for a weekend; we have the beach, the pier, cinemas, zip wire, even the i360! The community is so accepting and you never feel out of place. Every year Brighton holds a parade for Gay Pride: a moment where everyone comes together and forgets about any discrimination they have ever felt or received by others. You'll never be short on choices for places to eat, over 100 different cafés and restaurants, with different cultures too! However, the one downside may be that they are a little on the pricey side. Of course, we're a seaside town and we gain a lot of tourists which companies have seen as their chance to make as much money as possible. On the other hand, there are still many places with decent and affordable prices. Let's not forget the Brighton Palace Pier, with its famous doughnuts, arcade, and roller-coasters! Along with our amazing shopping centre (with shops such as Victoria's Secret, Yankee Candle, Debhenams, Topshop and more - even a food court) Brighton has a huge high street: a shoppers paradise. Overall, Brighton is the perfect place to visit for adventure, a casual or romantic meal, and a day out at the shops. Make sure you visit, especially near Christmas!

Many clubs, restaurants, niche shops and a decent shopping centre so there's plenty of things to do. People are generally friendly and welcoming although there is a slight homeless problem in the area.

Lots of things to do. Shopping and quirky little antique shops. Walking through the lanes to see lots of independent cafes selling a variety of vegan and vegetarian foods. Lots of coffee shops with big seating areas allowing students to sit and do work in a good atmosphere. Going to the pier with spare change is always fun as well. Lots of bar ands cocktail places for an evening of drinking or pubs for one or two.

If anyone is interested in studying at Brighton whether it is at University of Sussex or Brighton University, the location is absolutely perfect. I study Computer science with AI at the University of Sussex which is a great university because of its location. The campus has everything you need but can be expensive. This is why you should look for stuff outside of campus such as groceries can be bought from supermarkets in Brighton for a whole lot cheaper. The transport from the university is very handy there is the train service and bus service. Unfortunately only the bus runs in the night. The train is the quickest and the cheapest to get to brighton from the university esspecially if you have a rail card like the 16-25 rail card you can get a discount on the train so a return from Falmer to Brighton is only about £3.20 which to me is cheap. For nights out there are lots of pubs, bars and nightclubs if your into that sort of thing otherwise the pier is open late if you want to go there. Shopping wise they have the same sort of shops you would expect to see in any city so Debenhams, M&S, H&M, Whsmith, Flying tiger etc. There are lots of restaurants to eat out as well but as a student there are lots of fast food restaurants like Burger King, KFC, McDonalds, Subway etc. but there are also the better fastfood places like itsu. Money wise it just like any other city. Entertainment they have a bowling alley and 2 cinemas plus the Brighton pier for rides and the arcade, which is quite fun to go to.

Brighton is an amazing city for students and young professionals. the population of this city is mainly students as there are two universities inside it - Brighton University and University of Sussex. They really are telling the true when they say that Brighton never sleeps, the town is always filled with people, local pubs and clubs are also great for socialising and meeting new people. However, on the down side, the costs of public transportation are very high... they're even higher that those of London, for example, a single journey on the bus costs around £2.80..

The nights out are so good, everything's open till late and it's such a vibrant busy city. The lanes are really cool but so is Churchill square. Brighton has so many shops, all that you could want pretty much

As a place to live in your 20s, Brighton is fun and vibrant. In my experience it is richer in pub and bar culture than clubbing, which is perfectly suited to the strong creative presence in the city. Often there will be so many live music events on one night, the only struggle will be which one to go to. As the vegan capital of the UK, there is also an incredible amount of eating out options for everyone, whatever their diet. Downsides are that everything is expensive - rent, drinks, food, even charity shops - and it is very usual to get paid minimum wage here. It is also a place that really lacks is ethnic and culture diversity, something you'll really notice if moving here from somewhere like London or Bristol.Bristol. But overall it is an exciting place to live and learn and meet new people .

Great city, everything you could need. Constant transport to every part of the city, including at night. Range of restaurants, both chain and independent. Loads of shops. Night life is fab! Something for everyone. Only downside is it can get so busy at the weekend and during summer!

Brighton is such a great student town. It has everything a student could ever need from a huge shopping centre to various clubs dotted around the town. As Churchill square shopping centre, the Laines are also packed full of quirky little shops varying I anything from clothes to food to tech and the list goes on. For food places Brighton is thriving with culture and has a wide range of restaurants and cafes for everyone's taste. The nightlife is always constant with a club for everyone's taste especially popular with students. As well as night life there's always something to be found to do in the day wether is strolling around the high street, exploring the huge pier or going to the sealife centre is packed full of activities for any age range.

I mostly get around by foot or bike so don't use the transport very often. Every night out I've had has been pretty good. There a lot of nice vintage shops in The Lanes but it's all a little pricey. Vegan food options are 10/10 but as like most things in town a little overpriced. Entertainment in the city is fab!

Brighton is an amazing place to go out, eat and shop. There’s always lots of things going on with amazing student deals throughout the week. However, the living cost in Brighton is high. It’s expensive to rent anywhere in the area which is a shame.

Great nights out, festivals, bars, there’s always something to do in Brighton. The beach is pebbly but nice and clean. Wherever you live it is easy to get to town or the train station.

Amazing metropolitan town with both a sea front and a national park nearby. Visit the lanes and look through the wacky shops or go to any of the art galleries dotted around. For those who enjoy history there are tours of the pavilion available as well as a nice museum. The restraunts and cafes are also nice with a wide variety of independent businesses active.
