Brighton is a beautiful and incredibly fun place to study and live - so many options both chain and independent for entertainment, food, shopping etc etc etc. My biggest complaint however is - the price ! Brighton, as much as it is lovely, is a very expensive place to live as a student. Rent, nights out etc just do not compare to other far more budget friendly student cities. Transport is very accessible but is one of the greatest costs with it being £2.60 for a SINGLE bus journey - it's £1.50 in London. Always something to do in Brighton but just be aware that it will cost you, but it's hard to not feel like it's worth it sometimes.

I enjoyed my time at my UNI doing a foundation year. I lived an hour from the uni as i was living at home so got a train everyday. The transportation was great and there were buses available to take from the station to the uni which was a less than 10 minute ride, however for £4.50 for a single it was quite expensive! so I decided to walk the 30 minute walk most days. Brighton is a lovely unique city with a great nightlife and plenty of vegan options in terms of food!

Even though my university is the ‘University of Brighton’ my campus is in Eastbourne. Eastbourne campus is a ‘sport and service management’ campus, and since I am doing journalism I did not think this was suitable. I chose the University of Brighton particularly for the location and I now find myself extremely far away from Brighton itself which is very frustrating.

Great for nights out, good shopping centre, variety of places for food. There’s the pier, i360, shopping, pavilion, etc. The value for money depends on what you’re looking for.

Brighton is a very cool, always bustling city. The uni however is a little too far out of town for my liking. You always have to pay for a bus and they are pricey!
