From my experience as a uni student at Bradford I would have to say that Bradford is exceptional. It's famous for its food and architecture and is a friendly city to be a part of.

There is a wide variety to do in Bradford's multicultural society with many food places open to everyone and quite cheap. In addition to this quite a lot of stores and shopping centres to buy pretty much whatever you desire.

Bradford is a city which is both loved and hated. There is much to do depending on your tastes and preferences. There is a wide variety of restaurants and take aways to choose from. However nightlife is not very active in Bradford, this can be easily resolved by travelling to Leeds which is a short train journey away.

Each food restaurant is well cleaned with friendly staff who makes the environment more calm and fun to eat in

I used to love the city, it used to have a very happy environment. Now there is a lot of tramps all over the streets and you can smell weed everywhere you go and honestly sometimes I do not feel safe in Bradford because there are many different types of ethnicities and they speak different languages so it makes you feel uncomfortable when people are talking around you.

Bradford is a lovely place to have a great get together with friends or family, there are some really nice restaurant to eat in, just like : Mylahore, nandos, cream de la cream, Shimlas. Also got some great opportunity in the centre to enjoy some fun with friends. Bowling and even ice skating.

Bradford may or have much to offer but you can still have a great time. Bradford has broadway shopping centre that ranges in shops from Clothes and cosmetics to bits and bobs and food. There are many places to eat at from your traditional spoons to a.bit on the food chain , 'five guys'. In and out there are many little cafes and bars if you want to have a bit of peace. Not to forget that theres practically a takeaway on every street.

Good city for a student town centre is only 15 minutes walk from the university. The university area itself has alot of good eating out/takeaway places very close by. There is alot of good food and good prices on food. Lots of different cusines. Banks/shops etc very close by.

Nights Out - The best places to go are village or sun bridge wells which is an underground nightclub/ Bar zone where you have lots of choices and options. Drinks are cheap as long as youre not buying cocktails. Food - the BEST things in bradford are of course the curry houses and takeaways as its cooked traditionally or at least good pub grub! cant beat a good old pie and peas or a fat ass burger. Shopping - Meh its okay not the worst id say if you want a good shopping i'd say go to leeds but if its just miscellanious then yeah, bradford is okay and its okay value for money not bad at all

The food in Bradford is good but unhealthy, with lots and lots of takeaway options readily and cheaply available, especially close to the uni like Burger Time and Pepe's. In Broadway there is better food available like Nando's etc and it's a 15 min walk from the uni so is feasible when necessary. There's not much else to do in Bradford except eat, clubs are dull and shisha is okay if you're in the mood.

Bradford City is a pretty chilled out place, with most of the local stores and places being close to the centre of the town. I currently study in the University and all the places I need to go are very close range and in walking distance from where I live. The club-life is quite dry and I wouldn't really go out in Bradford, mostly in Leeds is where it's at though.

Bradford gets a bad rep but it's actually decent place. Some beautiful views. Centenary square with the lights is gorgeous.

The location of the university is about 10 minutes walk away from the town centre. (depending on how fast you walk). The transport link are very good with two train stations and a big bus station. There is a bus with a town route that costs £1. On the walk to the town centre you will walk past the clubs and pubs. The night life is very close to the university and it is very cheap. There is also a pub/club on campus for students which is affordable and lively. There are many shops in the centre of Bradford as well as a fresh food market that sells a range of different meats, fish, veggies and fruit. When shopping for clothes you'll be spoilt for choice. If you're not the kind of person who cooks, and would prefer to order out then Bradford is definitely for you. There are take away and restaurants located on every street with a range of different styles. Although Bradford's town centre is only small, you will never be bored. There is an ice rink, museums, theatre, cinema, casino, as well as other fun activities.

Since moving to Bradford a year ago, i have loved the independence and atmosphere that Bradford has given me. With pursuing my career as a makeup artist in Bradford, the University have supported me all the way in following my future dream job. I am able to feel comfortable in my own skin and venture round wherever i want around the City centre itself or even the other surrounding cities such as Leeds. The night life in Bradford is not over the top it is a chilled night out with so much to offer with the gin bars and wetherspoons in City Park and the cocktail bars further into town. Overall my experience has been amazing and i have met so many inspirational people along the way that have become friends for life !!

I think the location of my university is perfect as it is in the city centre, close to the student halls and not too far from the other campus. This is great because everything that I would need is a short walk from the campus l.

Bradford city is a small city with many students. The nightlife though is not that rich, and starts really early (around 8pm) and ends around 2ish.. Café shops close really early as well and Broadway has some good retail shops but I think it could be better.

I feel like Bradford is a safe place, but you can never be to sure. I would love to be able to walk to a Hobbycraft shop in Bradford but they isn’t one unfortunately.

Nothing special. Boring. Cheap. People are unapproachable. I'd go for something better next time. Not really an enjoyable study time.

It’s an alright place, pretty boring and run down, a bit rough, have to travel to Leeds for a decent night out

As a city I actually prefer Leeds but I am close to a train station and I can easily access Leeds, Bradford and Manchester realistically! But the city centre is improving to be fair and I can really see the area starting to come into its own!

Good choice of bars. Good choice of takeaways. Restaurant selection could be better. Opening times of shops could be later.

I chose my uni partly because I’d heard it was a cool area with lots of bars and pubs rather than clubs, which I prefer. So I’d definitely say consider that sort of thing when deciding on a uni
