As an international student, the variety of food is above average. Having Chinatown in the city centre, you can get almost anything you want. Authentic Vietnamese food, dim sum, korean BBQ, legit Japanese food and bubble tea. Cinemas are great too, with cheap tickets for students. Shopping in Bullring and Grand Central is also superb, all the shops are there in one stop. Very convenient city, and easy to get around too with good bus connections and a well-facilitated train station in the city.

Everything is very close, such as the train station, food places, the shopping centre making it more concierge for living the student life because u get to save money on transport. The nights out are very good as They are in walking distance and there are so many different types of clubs that u will not get bored of. The entertainment could be a bit better however there is a bit to do such as ice skating, go karting, however the amount of money u spend on these activities add up to a lot of money

A great busy, bustling city with lots to do! With the Bull Ring and New Street Station, there's plenty of shops and restaurants to fill a day out, and there's even more shops out on the high street. One of the biggest highlights of the year is the Birmingham Christmas market, which I recommend to everyone who is able to make it! It is a great day out and will certainly get you in the Christmas spirit!

Birmingham is a developed city. It is the second city in the UK after London. The shopping centres are the amazing things that distinguish this city.

Nights out are really amazing and it's always packed which shows the interest of Birmingham night clubs There's a great variety of food and many places to eat at each corner The shopping experience is amazing because there's high end brands you cant find in other cities such as Coventry in where I have to commute from.

Is a lively city with a wide variety of activities to do. The nightlife is good, with lots of different clubs, catering for everyone and their preferred night out. The shopping in Birmingham is also wonderful with a large number of both chain and independent stores. Along with shopping there is also a large number of restaurants and cafes.

Also there are many outlet stores near the NEC by Birmingham Airport. So many activities to do all around Birmingham, whether it just a movie or bowling, star city has it all.

In a lot of areas that could be really nice such as nechells, Selly Oak. The streets aren't very clean. Time is wasted scrapping off graffiti that looks like art. However the food in this city, is amazing. Such a good range! Hard to get to good places though if you don't drive in Birmingham. Plus traffic on Bristol and pershore Road is a nightmare.

Birmingham is a multicultural city with fantastic architecture. A variety of foods from around the world seems pleasing to the people as well as old and new adventures to be apart of. There are many activities to take part in including ghetto golf, laser quest, bowling, escape rooms and the new bear grylls located at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre. Night clubs within Birmingham bring diversity with a range of music genres; great for students, meeting new people and having a good night out with friends. Birmingham's shopping centre called The 'Bullring' provides a variety of clothing suited for all types of people including high fashion, street wear, classy, kids clothing etc... moreover within the city centre there are other clothing shops with different styles and materials.

This is a dense city with lots to keep you ocupoccu. A night out in Birmingham is good however it wouldn't be wise to go out alone at night due to safety and travel fares.

I love Birmingham as a city. It always has something going on, always something to do, which is great as a student. However, I have found the people here to not be very friendly, definitely not as friendly as some other cities. Also, it is quite dangerous and that has worried me many times, and has made me alter plans before to avoid places/situations that I feel could be dangerous such as walking on my own in the dark.

The bullring is very nice but they need more activities and things to do for younger and older people, currently we all just walk around the shops

Birmingham has everything you need from a city. There are loads of places to eat from the usually chains to really great independent cafés and restaurants. The town centre has the huge Bullring shopping centre and Grand Central train station with a range of shops and food places inside. Places like Digbeth and Moseley have a few more low key venues and more great food. Like anywhere, there are good and bad places to live around the city but the value for money is excellent, especially compared with London (which is less than an hour and a half away by train).

There are many places to eat in and around Birmingham and all are very delicious. Many places can be expensive but most are definitely affordable. Places to shop such as the Bullring and Grand Central are great and have a variety of well known shops within.

Birmingham is great for nightlife and shopping, and you'll never be short of things to do. There are many bars and clubs, especially around the Broad Street area. The Bullring and NEC are the best places for shopping, there are a variety of high street and high end shops but there is something for everyone. There are also many other shopping centres and retail parks, if you prefer places that aren't as busy. The transport links are good and the buses and trains cover all of Birmingham and the Black Country. There are many restaurants all around the centre of Birmingham and in the different areas, from big chains to small local places. As for entertainment, there is a nice theatre and many cinemas, bowling alleys and other things to do around Birmingham. Ghetto Golf is definitely something to try out, its an experience unlike any other!
