Nights out are good for Bangor having such a limit on clubs to go to. But I still had fun. There are various good options for food, takeaway, restaurants, cafés, etc. Some places to eat are cheap too. The countryside is the best thing about the city, and the architecture is stunning. You can see such beautiful landscapes and scenery in the city. Bangor, compared to somewhere like Manchester, feels like an escape from the chaos of modern life. Definitely check it out if you've not been before, spend a day or two there and you'll get a sense of the city early on.

Bangor is a lovely city for those who love the outdoors. Although it is quite small compared to other cities, which means there are limited options for food and nights out, the location makes up for it. Beautiful views of Snowdonia, and always places to explore if you're up for it. The size also makes it very walkable/commutable, which means you save money on transport!

The night outs are decent and affordable. The food is Devine and classy and cheap. Shopping is expensive yet with discounts it's useful. There's always things to do and places to go and clubs to join. It can be good value for money especially to us students.

Nights out are surprisingly rich and full of diverse options despite Bangor being such a small city. The location is so beautiful and perfect for those aspiring to be a zoologist or just someone who loves being lost in nature. The high street has a good range of shops which supplies ones every need with every business having at least one rival company to make for quite competitive pricing. Alcohol is extremely cheap too. I’d average a pint to be £2.50 which is 50% cheaper than the majority of the south of England, especially London. Transport could be much better. The bus system is not very impressive but still very affective. One can get a direct train from Bangor to London which allows for a lot of freedom to go wherever you want on weekends.

In terms of getting to other places within the UK, Bangor is quite removed and hard to reach. However, the surrounding area is so gorgeous and if you're into walking, hiking, surfing, boating or swimming, Bangor is ideally located for you!

The nights out are somewhat decent- only 3 clubs in the town but this is decent considering the size of the town. Each club attracts different crowds and each are good in their own right. The shopping is a lot to be desired, but the food around is great- as is the value for money! The amount to do in the town revives all negatives, with the waterfalls, beach, mountains, pier, lakes etc all making for more than enough to do.

Bangor is the perfect location with mountains on one side and the see on the other. It is a small town but there are easy transport links.

Althogh the nights out are good you are limited with the amount of places where you can go , and in general. However the area is beautiful there are lovely views and walks around in and around bangor including bangor mountain. You can get buses to places very easiky but I have loved a car.

Bangor is absolutely stunning, you have the Meni Straights where you can go and sit on the coast contrasted by the mountains and Snowdonia. There are plenty of bars/pubs in bangor with very reasonable student prices! There are a couple of clubs which are always busy too. There is a huge high street, but not many common restaurant chain other than fast food places.

I partly chose my university for the diverse location unique to any other university in the country. Based between the mountains of Snowdonia and the Menai Straits, there is a wonderful combination of mountains and sea, notnon,y leading to stunning views, but a vast variety of experiences to be and. Bangor isn't a conventional university city: it's small, and shops close rather early, but if you don't want the densely populated, overcrowded urban life, and want to study in a place surrounded by countless places to explore, then this is the kind of university for you.

Bangor is a super small city so the choices for nights out are limited. We have two night clubs, Cube and Academi, and they’re both alright but I’m not really a club person. We do have a lot of good pubs though, including the Harp, which is my favourite pub in the world. It’s homely, everyone chats to each other and it just has a great atmosphere in general. Oh and on a Monday it’s £1 pints! There aren’t a lot of food places in Bangor, mainly take always and fast food, and a couple of restaurants. The blue sky cafe is really good though, and their veggie food is to die for. Bangor is in an awesome location that makes it worth how small it is. It sits in North Wales, super close to snowdonia for people who like mountains, and there’s views of them from most of bangor for people who just want to look at them. It’s also on the coast, and right next to the isle of Angelsey, which has stunning beaches. Bangor is also super cheap so it’s great for the student budget. All in all, I love bangor, it’s awesome.

Asides from the fact it's about as secluded as cities (yep, that cathedral in the centre means it's a city) get in the UK, Bangor offers students the chance to experience life in North Wales. Beaches, mountains, rivers and forests - you'll just need to find a friend with a car because the public transport is awful.

Great variety of places that are student-friendly for food, plenty of shops which are close by. Beautiful views in a gorgeous city, there's a pier, stunning woodlands and the menai straights!

Good outdoorsy areas especially for those more adventurous. Excellent nearby facilities to fulfill kayaking, climbing, bouldering, mountaineering etc. not much to do in Bangor itself other than shopping if you live a more sedate lifestyle, however there are plenty of pubs with pool tables and a couple of cinemas.
