The campus is well kept, always clean. It involves a gym on campus which is relatively small but has everything that you need in it. The student union is a great place to sit down and socialise with your friends, they offer pound a pint on Saturdays which is great for students. I study psychology and I very much enjoy my course. You are offered a lot of support to help you through your studies. The lecturers always encourage booking tutorials to help out as much as they can with anything you might be struggling. The course modules for the first year have been very interesting.

YSJ is an excellent university and I would recommend it to anyone. My 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life and I have been given so many amazing opportunities. YSJ have excellent study abroad connections and I was lucky enough to go to Oregon, USA in my second year. The support available at YSJ is second to none and due to the campus being small, it genuinely feels like one big family! The reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 is because in my experience, there has been the odd lecturer who maybe hasn't given me the feedback I needed to justify the grade, but this has not happened regularly and overall, I love YSJ!

The small campus of YSJ feels very homely and is picturesque. There is plenty of support offered by the university to help students who need it, and all the staff i have met are very friendly.

The university itself is very supportive and will always help you if you need any help with assignments, home sickness, mental health ect

York St John are amazing at looking after you and making you feel comfortable. There's help available for every kind of situation. The facilities are really good. I do drama and the rehearsal spaces are very spacious and have all the equipment you need for any kind of performance. The staff are all really friendly, from the tutors to the canteen staff. Timetables are made available well in advance and there are lots of extra help workshops and classes that you can attend if you want. The campus is also very beautiful.

I love studying at this university. It may be small and quite compact however it feels very friendly and homely allowing me to easily and comfortably fit in. There are multiple opportunities for different societies meeting the interests of mainly everyone, with student friendly nights of pound a pint. The people who work sighing the uni are very caring always offering support or leading you the the right person to talk to. I love spending this journey in York St John and have many happy and fond memories here.

Its a great university in a great city! But I'd arguably limited by its size and the cost of living. I believe the university does all it can in terms of providing a great student experience, however, does fall short in some instances. I don't believe the SU is able to cater for all students in regards to the activities it can offer, in addition to this, there does appear to be some inconsistencies when attempting to contact different members of staff, however this could arguably just be my experience and reflect my course only.

Brilliant University with great facilities and support systems in place. Thoroughly enjoyed my 3 years studying and was lucky enough to experience it surrounded by a lovely campus in the heart of York.

So far I am enjoying my time at York St John University. I like the Uni space itself, not too big to get lost. My course is interesting and I'm enjoying the challenge. If I had one bad thing to say it would be that I don't enjoy doing the essays, but they need to be done I suppose.

It is a small campus without much to do. The facilities aren't great, with limited opening hours. The SU bar is great, however, with events held.

Great social experience, good university club nights and a good location for nights out. However, the only scene is top 40 so if you're more into indie or anything else, Sheffield is probably more up your street. The university has good facilities for such a small campus but in terms of course leadership and teaching, it can be very disorganised and vague. It's a good choice if you feel you won't be able to get into a more academic university, but if you're looking for a serious education and to get your money's worth, avoid it.

I love studying at YSJ! The tutors are always on hand to help with any questions and the lectures and seminars are always very informative and fun! The health and well-being team at the Uni are amazing and get back to you the same day which is so helpful. There's always a smiling friendly face to help you out when needed and it's such a small community atmosphere it feels just like home!

Small university which is beneficial for many reasons, more one to one teaching and a lot of support for both learning as well as personal issues. Family like atmosphere, where anyone would help if you needed it. Good library and learning facilities, easily accessible career facility. And excellent mental health support. Good studio spaces for fine art course, approachable lecturers who are keen to help and have your best interests at heart.

Small university but so much better. Campus is all together so easy to get around and find lecture halls. Course is intense and very big so it is hard to make friends. Student union have loads to offer especially with sports. Never used career services as of yet but heard they are good. I'm glad I came to ysj as lecturers are always there to help not having to wait ages for help at well-being would recommend more computers in the library as there isn't another for the amount of students

The university, all in one campus is unique, academic and has a wide spread of new and old buildings. It is well maintained, good facilities and has everything a university needs from a state of the art library to student services.

The campus is convenient and easily accessible with all buildings only a very short walk from each other. Careers services are extremely helpful with potential prospects being emailed to us weekly. Only issue is some of the lecture and seminar rooms are small for the class.

I am studying criminology with police studies. The lecturers are all really helpful but some of the seminar tutors could be better. I love the content of the course and it is as I expected. The uni is fab with lots of facilities

York St. John univeristy is not a very big university but that's the best thing because we students do not have to walk a lot from one place to another and that is much easier. The facilities provided for everything are second to none. I am I. The basketball team and that is one of my best things that I am doing as a student.

The lectures on my course are helpful and easy to talk to. They make it clear and simple what are assignments are and we can approach them if needed. The university campus is easy to navigate with a variety of facilities including multiple food outlets at reasonable prices and a great students union which is perfect for socialising inbetween studies. The university also has a wonderful wellness team, where students can not only seek medical advice but also seek out advice in terms of mental health issues which I think is something that every student needs access to.
