A great university with a strong support system, an excellent curriculum, online portal and system. Fabulous city centre location, plenty of social opportunities and groups for all students.

Strathclyde university is great. It provides us with a really good quality education and I’m happy to be a part of that. Strathclyde sport is really good, but doesn’t have social badminton like it used to. Strathclyde gives us a very good support with careers, clubs, education, finding accommodation etc. The university cafes are a bit on the pricey side though!

The university campus is constantly being renovated, with a new Business School and a brand new (2019) Sports centre.

Strathclyde is a city centre campus meaning that it is very easy to get to. Furthermore, every building is within a 5 minute walk from each other. Recently, a brand new, state of the art sports centre has opened which is now directly across from our Library. The library has 5 floors so there is a lot of space however it can be difficult to get private booths at busy times of the year. The Union has 8 floors with at least 3 bars, one with a pool hall and the another with a stage where acts play during freshers week.

Great university. Friendly lecturers and students. Some buildings can be confusing in layout. New sports facility thats really great. Library has loads of floors and really handy if you need a place to study.

The course is great. Most lecturers are quite nice. The library is pretty good, it has silent and group study areas with computers. There's a starbucks on the bottom floor of the library and a cafe. Food is a little expensive but shops are about a 15 minute walk away.

Campus is great ! There's a ton of international students. They should probably do strengthen the student representation channels and streamline it. The lecturers are really fantastic

The campus and facilities are quite up to the standard we've come to expect from top class universities across the country, by and large inclusive of engineering labs and technology.

I love being a student at Strathy! All of our lecture power points are put up on our university website "myplace" which is specific to each student. It's easy to access and full of useful information. I like studying at the library which has different floors for different study types: silent (my favourite), quiet and group work. The group work floor is lively and great for anything you need to do with other people. They have great vending machines which may not seem important, but when you are panic studying and staying up late they are fab! I am in 3rd year of uni but I am still not exactly sure how to access papers and books. It's all a bit complicated and on computers but I'm sure if you actually asked the staff, they could help you. The union is brilliant!!!! Cheap drinks and a great vibe. My favourite is "The yard" which is a bar with hundreds of pool tables- Very chill and sells pizza, perfect! The union staff are also very helpful. They can help with clubs and societies, finance, equality, disability and welfare etc. They are young and very approachable which I think makes a difference. I wouldn't want to go and talk to some scary, old, grumpy woman about my personal issues, no thank you. I'll stick with the young, fun ones. Most of Strathclyde's buildings are a bit hideous. Built in the 1970's they are leaky, ugly and falling to pieces. However, does that really matter when you are getting a great education? Overall, I like being a strathy student. If I've ever had a problem, I have been helped and supported quickly and the social life is good fun.

I am currently a honours student studying history and politics and I couldn’t imagine studying anywhere else. The history department have been so facilitating throughout my years and have truly helped me progress. The campus is an ideal location for me allowing me to stay at home but also giving me lots of public transport options. I live the street art that can be found across the campus which I believe adds something special.

Brilliant lecturers in the Psychology department. University is easy to navigate and in a very central location in Glasgow. The new sports facility opening in summer 2018 will be amazing and state of the art.

I would say that the best part of strathclyde uni is the courses it provides. My course is renowned worldwide for being one of the best in the world so I am likely to get a good job straight out of uni. With regards to being a student, so far the union has been very helpful. Any financial issues I have had, have been met with good advice and support. I am a member of only a couple of societies which tend to be mostly drinking rather than the sport or hobby. However, there are so many groups that I am sure you will find one that suits you if you take a proactive approach and look for a society. The accommodation seems to be very similar to other universities, simple but clean and usable. The buildings are very old and kind of falling down, but do the job. You will get a very good education but it's not fancy and modern. I love working in the library. It's easy to find your way around and has a floor suitable for every type of student- silent, quiet, busy/loud group study floor. The student union is great to hang out in too. There are bars, nice cafes and pool bars with hundreds of pool tables and all with affordable/cheap menus. Over all, I love going to strathclyde. It's old but great fun and you will be taught by the very best.

Strathclyde is a very enjoyable university to attend. The staff are very helpful and always willing to aid you in your studies. Even when circumstances are hard, the university works well for you. The campus is spread out and has excellent buildings and facilities, looking forward to he new students union that should be open in the next few years. The current union is alright with various facilities throughout including two bars and a cafe with various eating facilities dotted throughout campus.
