Great place to learn and very supporting staff. Student life is also great. There are a lot of students places in Southampton, which makes it very attractive city to study.

I love the student life here! It's an amazing city, lots of things to do. There are good shopping centres in town and easy to access. I also enjoy my lectures. They are very interesting.

Nice campus, lots of outdoor space, not enough space in the library, friendly atmosphere, lots of choice of societies, quite a small city but good nightlife

I didn’t enjoy my undergraduate here as much as the support for students was poor. It seemed like no one really cared.

The University has a pretty campus with lots of gardens. The university also provide a large range of courses, specifically economics is extremely well taught and I would recommend the University to any student. There are also many societies to get involved in and many opportunities to get involved.

The university is living by the reputation and status of the engineering school which is unarguably excellent, however in a school like business or economics, there are so many problems. Most importantly for me is how weak the lecturers are at university that it was shocking to me! Many times it's a lot better to self study than wasting time attending lectures and you end up thinking you pay all this money just for the brand nothing more.

The Waterfront campus is excellent. All the facilities and the library are near ideal. Career services could be improved as it feels very generic.

University has a large campus and large university. There should be more spaces for students to study other than the library but I think they’re building that for 2020.

Really amazing campus, great course, only let down is that most people attending here are really really boring and lack any personality.also the vice chancellor is a terrible person for making cuts to services whilst taking a ridiculously large salary and bonus.

I love my university! The people are all friendly and fun to be around, people actually want to study theirs subjects. The lecturers are willing to answer your emails and talk at any point and always give a helping hand when possible. I have a good range of optional modules on my course to choose what I want to specialise in. There is a huge range of halls, varying in condition and age and price, so everyone could find something for them, and guaranteed student accommodation to first years and international students is hugely reassuring! There are 3 bars/clubs on campus, a letting agents, a box office, cinema and theatre, and a giant library that has lots of individual cubicles for you to do work in. There is also a range of sporting facilities including gyms, which are also in some accommodation complexes, and a swimming pool. I really love the uni and the vibe it gives off.

Very supportive staff, and engaging lectures The campuses are tranquil, with lots of greenery. Overall, a great uni experience.

Studying BA History at Southampton has been somewhat a bag of mixed emotions. The campus itself is good with a beautiful library although some departments look dated. My course has a very good variety of topics but struggles when it comes to feedback. The university as a whole is great and it provides the standard university experience. I wouldn’t say it goes above and beyond but I also wouldn’t say it’s a terrible place to study.

Excellent University. Great facilities, and huge range of enterprise opportunities for students to get involved with and develop themselves.

The campus is a bit weird to navigate (buildings are numbered in order of being built I think?), but you get the hang of it eventually and there are maps everywhere. It is becoming more gender neutral (more unisex toilets), so is being more inclusive towards trans/gender-fluid students. There is a massive library in the centre of campus, with plenty of computers and desks.

Campus is very nice, has a close feel to it. Lots of facilities such as various cafes, shops, hairdressers, a pub, sports halls and a gym. Library is big and lots of computers available to students.

The campuses are lovely with plenty of green spaces and places to relax. Great having the National Oceanography Centre as somewhere else to go than the main campuses. Course (geography) is so fun, lecturers are very nice organisation is generally good and our year group is very close thanks to a fun trip to Tenerife !

The University is well deserving of its Russell group status with excellent research facilities and activity. Teaching at the University could do with improvement as lecturers prioritise their research. The action at the University following the strikes this year hasn't been dealt with particularly well and has been a severe let down due to the fact that masters students missed significant portions of their one year programs. The University does offer some great clubs and societies, but the Union needs a revamp.

The overall University was okay. There is a large shopping centre nearby. The nightlife was good. The buildings are quite old and feel outdated.

The lecturers and helpful and informative and tend to give good feedback on work submitted. Some lecturers are less helpful than others but the module coordinators are usely there to help instead.

Southampton is a very great university especially for engineering. I love how the university trains me to be independent. But I think all lectures should be recorded so that it would be easier for students to do revision.

Academically, the facilities are reasonable, however the studies areas are limited. The lecturers seem to care little for our actual learning and more just for their own money. There are multiple locations with a range sporting facilities, however the quality is average and the cost of gym membership seems to increase exponentially with each year.

The university is okay I suppose, the campus is fine but facilities seem to be lacking when compared to other universities. Having to go to the hospital as a medical student is a drag. Sports facilities are good but other aspects are poor

I'm a fan, I don't really know what else to say I've been here for 4 years and I've enjoyed it all
