Me and my boyfriend sam really enjoy skyn, oh and university. Southampton is a great place, would be better if there was more doggies.

Very good nightlife in town. Sports facilities such as the campus gym and playing fields could do with some work. The gym is overcrowded and the wide lane fields flood far too easily. The halls are generally of a good standard and the learning facilities (lab equipment etc. Is very good). The careers service is easy to use and very helpful. The campus layout is aesthetic and well kept by ground staff.

Nice campus with ducks. Good chemistry department. Shit vice chancellor. RIP Susu, the cat that was our student union president. Good quality halls with trees and stuff. Fab free bus pass but it sucks that we don't get it for the whole of our uni career if we don't live in halls after first year. Piazza has fab pizza. Near an amazing gay club.

The university of Southampton is a great university with everything any student would want. The campus has numerous bars, food outlets and even a market on Mondays. I study maths and we have a great common room area where students can have their lunch or a drink and mingle with PhD students or lecturers

The uni is moving in a good direction with restructuring the organisation and focusing on the student a lot more. A bigger library is needed and the student union needs to be better focused on students.

It is a very good city for drinking as there is endless pubs and clubs . Easy to get to campus with really good travel links and we have an airport nearby if you want to fly anywhere. Lots of weird and wacky sports and societies. As a physics student I find it is a bit lacking in support and some of the teaching feels sub par and I have very much struggled.

The campus and facilities are well looked after and perfectly adequate for student living. The student's union offers a significant number of activities in the form of societies whilst also enabling groups of students to form new societies should there not be a society that they wish to be a part of.

This university needs to work on itself so it proves and sticks to it’s Russell Group status, needs to work on its social sciences and humanities subjects. Also please make it more clear to oncoming students that you have to do stats modules for politics and IR.

The campus is a good part of southampton university, with it being away from the city centre it allows it to be big enough all in good walking distance. The unilink bus pass is also a great thing about the uni especially in first year where it's included with halls. The accommodation is great personally, clean, big and modern. Lecture theatres are mostly good as well and the fact that all lecture slides and most lectures are recorded and put online is a really helpful thing both when making more notes after the lecture and during revision. Southampton is a great uni to be at.

Dubious financial reputation of vice chancellor. Fantastic facilities, great employment prospects. Overall friendly atmosphere. Good quality accommodation.

Jester's is possibly the greatest place on Earth ??. The Campus is kept clean and tidy. The lecture theaters are good but too hot and in building 54 the rows are too close together for normal people to fit in the seats. The course is good so far. The lecturers seem commited to thier jobs and know what they're talking about. We don't have any January exams which is perfect for us...not other students though. So the university as a whole is amazing

Studied Biomedical Sciences for 4 years. Good things: - overall course organisation (not made to take modules irrelevant, can specialise fairly early) - new life sciences building, good access to library, other facilities, spacious lecture theaters, panopto access for most lectures, online submission, etc. - careers building services are quite good, help with interviews, CVs, career advice, for free - the course advertised laboratory experience and that's what I got - loads of sports (and other) societies that are very involved and welcoming to new commers - most lecturers I had seemed genuinely involved with their students/interested in their progress/happy to give advice and take feedback Cons: - not much career advice from assigned tutors - not many organised lab internships (there are loads paid for other areas, including marketing, finances, etc., but very little in a laboratory/clinical environment organised through the university) - expensive gym membership, compulsory for playing sports for any university team - the library needs some refurbishing (not heated, no plugs, etc.), but that's underway; it's also painfully crowded (there are other study areas around halls as well)

Very good environment and education, many activities and help for students in need. One of the best universities in the country for engineering courses, many learning facilities and in fairly good location compared to the city centre

I just love the course I am doing It's so much fun. It really engages in topics i enjoy and the campus has wonderful facilities that are also very scenic and modern. Everything that the uni had to offer is fantastic and I am enjoying every second of it so far, including the masses of events that the put in and the enourmas amounts of opportunity they encourage. It is also very challenging in a good way which makes me enjoy it even more

Great spacious campus with lots of energy. Good facilities, the library provides an acceptable amount of space for people to study. Gym needs to update its equipment and to generally by bigger.

The uni has a great campus with all the services you need including a cinema shop, and excellent housing office. Southampton had a bit of a rough reputation but massive investment in the city center has seen the city improve dramatically!

Top class research facilities. Friendly, well equipped campus. The city is constantly improving, even in the last two years the change for the better is huge.

Great relaxed campus with lots of areas to fit your needs for the day. With several areas to chill out, have a coffee, have a stronger drink, do work alone, do work in an open area, there is always somewhere to go. Maths have a student centre where students can do work while having numerous lecturers in the room, who are more than willing to help in any subject they can.

The campus is not too big, which I quite like, and there are some smaller campuses around the city. As an engineering student, I have found that the facilities are great- we are able to use the wind tunnel and the labs, including 3D printers. The student Union has a shop, a cinema, some restaurants and cafes and a bar called Stags, which is great. There is no club in the union as there are plenty to go to nearby. In my experience the organisation is good and I have really enjoyed it.
