The avenue campus is very nice, it’s smaller than highfield campus and is a quieter place to work. I feel like the students union is lacking, other universities have a special club night at their students union but we never had that and don’t really have a students union - I think it would bring people together

Southampton is arguably one of the UK's most green cities. That's green as in beautiful green plants and trees but also green as is, some parts are a bit sickly to look/smell/be in. The University is spread across 2 main campuses, with the University Hospital also being counted as a campus for the medics - we have a couple of decent lecture theatres but also a common room with a broken pool table and microwaves that haven't been washed in the four years i've been here. The student union does a decent job and it's £2 pints at the union on Fridays!

The campus is compact and easy to navigate around, the jubilee sports centre is good has a nice pool and gym however gym could be bigger and not ideal having to go to wide lane to play sports

Very good facilities, staff are very friendly and accessibility is good. Food services are widely available and relatively cheap.

Tutors are mostly very helpful and available to talk to and get advice from. Campus facilities e.g. gym, cafes, libraries etc are well maintained and usually pretty affordable.

Pretty campus and lots of facilities and clubs for anything you fancy doing, the course is well organised

The University of Southampton is great for me. I have managed to thrive there whilst I did not manage the same successes at another UK university. The teaching staff in the law school are so committed and helpful.

Campus is clean and easy to navigate around. My course psychology is good, could use more 1-1 sessions as students get lost within the many and may need extra help. Not a lot of contact time

Campus is lovely, often well maintained. Good student facilities stags bar is often busy and affordable food on campus. Could have more student events on in the union club as heard from other universities that these are popular

University of Southampton has give me an opportunity to develop my knowledge and more understanding on business knowledge. I've been given the chance to express myself on my hobbies and have a better understanding with other cultures from different countries. The campus is small itself but it's convenient to get to one destination. The student union is good and well establish. Overall, it has a rich history and I would like to be a part of that history in the near future.

Lovely campus with different study spaces, shops, places to eat etc. Really nice in summer as gardens are well kept and pretty! The gym on campus is wonderful although sometimes busy, but the gym membership includes other things such as access to swimming pools and gym classes at no extra cost.

The campus was great. The library was one of the best ive ever been to. The only two criticisms would be: 1) Piazza (the uni cafeteria) detoriated in quality through my years in uni. 2) Hartley Library was ridiculously hot during summer. Regarding careers services, as a student in the business school faculty I can safely say that there weren't enough careers events. Regarding the course, some of the lecturers/tutors provided in our first and second years were extremely unfit for the positions. However, that changed in final year.

Chill place, good for comp science and fairly wide selection of societies but the city hasn't got much to do outside student life

Campus is really great. However for my course (nursing) their is not enough support and a smaller cohort would enable best service

I love it here. This statement sums it all up. Coming to Southampton was the best decision of my life. The campus is huge, also the facilities are up to the mark. University of Southampton is mostly research oriented so there's so much to discover, there are guest lectures which tell us more about the outer world, there are timely feedbacks for all assignment and there is always something going on with the student union which keeps environment chirpy

A good sized campus in the city of Southampton with good facilities, especially for engineering as there is another, new, separate engineering campus. The newer halls are very nice and halls are guaranteed for all first years.

The campus are close to the shopping centre and the halls which is quite useful. The student union is quite good as well including numerous shops, a cafe, starbucks etc. It has a really big library where students can go. I often go there to get books and use the computers to print off stuff. I really enjoy my course and the lectures are quite useful alongside with the seminars. Seminars are full of discussion helping a lot with the assignments given to us.

Overall really really good, the campus is great and has just the right mix of green and built up areas although it could do with a few more modern buildings. My course, is perfect, the teaching and support is superb and I don't know what I would have done without it! Overall, Southampton has been fantastic!

Overall, Southampton has been pretty fantastic. The campus itself is a good mix of green areas and more busy built up sections and is exactly what I want from uni, even if it could do with a few new, modern buildings. My course, Natural sciences, is phenomenal. Everything about it is perfect, from the staff to the support, I've completely loved it! The union needs some work, although many of the reps are great, I just think overall, the university needs to advertise what it has on offer more to current students and help them make the most of it more! The uni is immense, but only for those willing to make the most out of it!

Great engineering facilities on the whole, some buildings need updating but some super new and modern

I really like Southampton University and am glad that I choose this as the place to do my degree. The lecturers here care about how you are doing and want to help whenever they can which I really appreciate. The careers service offered are also useful, I've found the workshops particularly good ar preparing me for life after graduation. The library is a good place although I feel like they could do with expanding the study areas of providing more options for places to work during the exam period as it gets so busy! The food options are good on campus although they could do with some more vegetarian options in the piazza

I study Philosophy at the University of Southampton and I have found the facilities very good - there is a huge library on both the main campuses with rooms you can study and computers where you can work or search for the book you are looking for. The lecture theatres are large and the lecturers I have met have all been very helpful.
