The University has five campuses spread throughout the city, with two further campuses in Winchester and Malaysia, for a truly diverse and global university experience.

Southampton offers a lively nightlife scene, with venues to suit everyone. The Students' Union runs The Stags, a traditional pub, and The Bridge, a gourmet bistro bar. Houses and flats for families and regulated private rented houses are also available. You can choose to live in mixed or same gender flats, and quieter flats are offered, so there is an option to suit everyone.

Highfield Campus is located less than 15 minutes from the city centre, where you can find lots of shopping, restaurants and cultural venues, such as the West Quay shopping centre, home to over 100 shops, and the Mayflower theatre that often presents West End favourites. The countryside is on your doorstep, with the New Forest 20 minutes away and the Isle of Wight across the Solent. There are also over 60 green spaces to enjoy throughout the city.

Clubs and societies

The Students' Union runs over 300 clubs and societies, including more than 90 sports clubs. From American Football to Quidditch, Performing Arts to Cake Decorating, there is sure to be a society to suit any student. The Union is also home to Surge radio station, a newspaper, magazine and TV station, run entirely by students using industry-standard equipment. Still nothing for you? The marketing course is very good. The campus is very clean and big. Some of the buildings are quite far away from the campus so this is annoying.

Campus cinema is great, love going to watch films at a cheaper price than places like odeon and showcase but the facilities are excellent. The films come out a little later than normal cinemas but the ease of getting to it, being on campus and the price makes it worth the wait. Drinks and snacks are also available to buy making it an even better experience.
