The quality of halls varies a lot. I was lucky enough to be in one of the nicer ones but it's almost luck of the draw. Nightlife is great. My course was pretty good although a few flaws in terms of not consistent teaching (you get told one thing by a lecturer and something else would contradict this) but on the whole pretty good. Loads of really good cheap student housing around the city and everything is so close.

State of the art facilities and equipment with teaching methods that allow for both individual and group growth. A large amount of support is given especially to disabled students and in all this is a excellent university

A good university. Facilities are up to scratch along with the teaching however overall organisation and health & wellbeing could be improved.

Portsmouth is a fantastic university. The curriculum is varied, the lecturers are passionate and the university itself is in such a lovely condition. It's located not too far from halls, and the night life is central. Theres always SOMETHING happening. Everyone you approach, whether its a lecturer, a librarian or waitress, theyre all lovely and willing to help in any way or form. I honestly couldn't fault anything to do with Portsmouth.

City campus that allows you to get to know the city! A course and lectures that want you to strive and an experience you'll remember for a lifetime !!

The facilities are improving but still not to a high standard. Official student halls are limited and the private halls to use otherwise are incredibly expensive.

Overall campus and facilities are good. Experience has been good with the only improvement being support for students going abroad in previous ye

Focus on the technology and innovation aspects of the university could be stronger however these areas are being developed and improved currently. The teaching standard is very high.

Course was not consistent enough many tutors did not have the experience needed to teach the modules that they were doing. When I asked my tutor for more information she would single me out and tell me that I haven’t been conscious during class, I spent a lot of time learning the course.

I study photography at portsmouth uni, the facilities are very good, the equipment has very high standard. All students can loan and use expensive and high quality equipment. However we only get £10 print credit each year which is not enough for a creative subject, especially due to the £9,000 we pay a year. The library has very good facilities and is open 24 hours which is needed for students. However during the end of term the library is extremely busy, so maybe an extension is needed.

Honestly Portsmouth is such a great place. Everything is local and the night life is really good for uni students especially because th city is basically made up of the uni students, there are three local shopping centres which means a lot of opportunities to get a part time job. There is also Careera advisors as well if you can’t find a job yourself, there are loads of opportunities for students and there are many gyms as well, for those that are into their fitness. There are new building being built but the ones that are already open are so good, depending on what campus you’re on there might be a few problems but yeah overall the rooms and kitchens are really good sized. Definitely bigger than I thought they’d be.

Great modern university, with top-notch facilities and good links with creative industries. The University of Portsmouth is very affordable overall, compared to the rest of the UK, and also very international. As an EU student, I felt that thwy helped me integrate and get the best of uni life. Not only did they help me find jobs in my industry and already build a CV while still in uni, but they also offered me opportunities to work for them at the same time. I don't think I could have completed my studies if not for their help.

Having all the university buildings spread across town helps you to see the city more and get to know all the locations. The student union offers great value drinks and entertainment.

Good uni, very spaced out but everyone is very friendly and I enjoy lectures. My course is early childhood studies which is very interesting and covers how children develop and their learning and also psychological side.

The university has lovely facilities in which all students have access to. The staff are very supportive especially the psychology department, where staff encourage success. The university is diverse and is a lovely environment to be in.

The university offers a wide range of courses and is culturally diverse. It’s staff are very supportive and the environment is lovely to be in. The psychology department in particular focuses on its students and their success and has the facilities to help in doing so.

We have a wonderful campus that is spread out across the city which is constantly being updated with better tech and resources. The library is huge and the staff there are always great at helping you with whatever you need, offering referencing advice and helpful study tips. Personally I've found all staff members to be very accomodating and supportive right across the university.

The University of Portsmouth is a great institution with an easily accessible campus as well as growing facilities for the future cohorts. My course was well organised, lecturers were helpful and my career prospects are very promising. Overall, it's been a great four years.
