The course is very broad, interesting and great fun. My lectures are very friendly and are relatively engaging. The halls I am staying in for my first year are sick but the fire alarms go off way to much. Fuck that noise. The societies are a great way to get completly trashed with a bunch of random sesh head uni students. Pre drinking is the key and snake bites are lit.

This university is great. The teaching is good, they're always happy to help and offer support. The facilities are also very good, including the student union and shops. The buildings are also modern and clean with plenty of study space and computers.

My course which is criminology and criminal justice has a lot of support from transitioning from college to university, especially with the work load. The Academic skills unit (ask) has especially help me but is open to all students at the university and provides one-to-one tutorials in academic writing, note making, time management, critical thinking, presentation skills, referencing, working in groups, revision, memory and exam techniques. Some students face multiple challenges, particularly in the period of transition from school, college or adult life and an early referral to ASK can help retain and support students until they find their feet.

The campus is amazing. They provide a great career services and the teachers are more interactive and make the subject more interesting which helps us learn them easily. I am doing software engineering and I love the fact that they have great facilities with latest technology.. The student union always helps us and supports us. The whole organization is amazing and they keep everything well organized. I just like everything aboit the university. It has got everything in walkable distance.

Great facilities, especially the university library which is a great place to revise. University student accommodations are all really good, the old ones get refurbished often and the new ones are really modern and nice. Sports facilities are great all the pitches you need. Out of all the societies there is definitely one for everyone. From quidditch to football to dodgeball to paintball! All sorts that are all really fun and are guaranteed to make you friends. Bus services run regularly and are free as long as you show your student card which is great to get around. The area of Portsmouth is great with lots of shops from high street in cascades and designer in gunwharf. The beach is a great place to hang out and the common by the sea is a great place to hang out in the summer.

The University of Portsmouth is very underrated, it has very up to date facilities and campus. There is a wide range of courses offered, which suit every need and so far have been very enjoyable.

Modern courses and facilities. Excellent student support and teaching is great! The student accommodation is pricey but well worth the quality (of the newer halls), although not a campus Uni, everything is within walking distance.

Portsmouth Uni had truly been an amazing experience. Everything is in close by, there is so much to do and so much fun to be had. There are endless amounts of facilities perfect for every students needs. If you want to do rock climbing or scuba diving there is a student society just for you. The halls are all so close to the buildings and the security of the Uni is always exceptional.

Business facilities are excellent. High quality teaching all round. Lectures are the perfect length and timetables are easy to keep to. The food on campus is quite expensive recommend bringing your own. Student union waterhole is a great place to hang out with quiz's hosted every Sunday! Great place to socialise and pre drink on a Wednesday afternoon!

Well organised and puts on lots of events for freshers! The library is great if not a little busy, which makes it hard to find seats at peak times. It is however open 24h for students pulling all nighters!

Too much independent solo student work on their own time. No supervision. Feedback is available but why not have actual timetabled sessions for it? International student communities are weak. Political correctness culture is obvious but not talked about. Is three years too short for some? Career services could be broader have broader services. Halls are too expensive and easy to break and too many rules. Sport facilities feel exclusive Freshers week could have sports events and activities, social opportunities, instead of getting money for advertising businesses only. Thanks.

The university as a whole is a very welcoming community and easier to navigate round. The student union is a warm, friendly environment and cheap drinks! After joining two weeks late, due to transferring unis, the Pharmacy course leader and academics were very helpful and welcoming.

Overall an enjoyable experience at uni. However some of the buildings are not great to have lectures and seminars in as they are not properly equipped for certain courses.

The Creative and Cultural Industries Faculty is simply amazing. They do not just offer industry standard facilities, including a fully kitted out TV studio and motion capture rooms, they offer invaluable advice for your future career goals and help you secure heaps of work experience.

Overall the university is a top notch university choice. With a wide range of facilities and support that cover a wide range of subjects, the library is extensive and large with a large amount of computers and the media department have a varied and up to date ranger of technologies available. The society's program is extensive meaning people of any interests can find like minded people and the halls experiance instilled themes of comradary and real student experiance. The surrounding area itself is beautiful and has a wide array of food and club locations so it's pretty difficult to get bored!

UoP supported a whole range of avenues throughout the course, including the assistance and guidance of creating and running a business throughout a placement year. The nightlife at the UoP is also top notch, and shouldn't be missed out on.

I'm in my 2nd year here at UoP, doing Journalism. I believe the course layout has changed for this year's (2018) undergrads, so I will be doing this based on the course layout for my year. The course is really good! Considering how it is NCTJ accredited, it's a really good uni and course to choose if you are thinking of becoming a journalist in the future. This is if you do the course on it's own and not as combined. From what I know, shorthand is only being offered to single honours students during 2nd year from this year onwards. Anyways, the lecturers are amazing and really get to you know you and your style so gives the best feedback. I rarely go to the union, but the sabbatical officers have always been great - they really do care for the students and the university. Facilities-wise... The university library is honestly the best place to go if you want to get focused and study. Books are available most of the time or if the physical copy isn't there, there will most likely be an ebook available. I don't use the university sports facilities so I can't really say much about them. But the gym membership is great, and the gyms have all the equipment a gym-enthusiast would need. My overall experience, I'm really enjoying my time here. It's not difficult to find out your 'crowd'. You make friends all the time. Like seriously, freshers week is not the only time you can make friends. Settling in wasn't that difficult for me too. But then again, that's just the person I am since I'm used to being away from home and I came from a busy city. I have friends who came from small towns and have settled in nicely, and I also have friends who came from very small towns and they really found it difficult to settle in a bigger, busier place. If you're thinking of this university, I think it's really great! But obviously, there are a lot of factors to consider. Such as, how good is the course and the lecturers? How/ Can I cope in a bigger/smaller city? What do I want to achieve in this uni? Literally just the overall question 'is this university for me?'

Not really sure what to write to be honest, I just wanted the free tastecard. Good University with great facilities and nice local area

the facilities at Portsmouth University are really good. The university buildings are really close to each other which is very convenient for the students. The student union is very useful as it provides all the information the students need including where to find each building, all the facilities available and if you have any problems.
