During freshers week there’s always things to do, the promoters are really helpful and there’s events on every day to cater for all kinds of music tastes. There’s events on for non drinkers too which some people find helpful

Was full of events that were varied and affordable allowing you to get involved and meet new people

Freshers is interesting as you meet new people and are able to find people who are on the same page as you.

Waste of time buying the band and this should be told to students that most clubs will charge going in.

Freshers week was very inclusive and informative, filled with plenty of activities to keep me occupied and help me settle in and socialise

Meeting new people was very easy as there were so many events and opportunities to do so, I would recommend getting the freshers wristband to all first year students because it was good value for money

Freshers week at Portsmouth university was insane, it was one of the best experiences of my life and given the chance I'd do it again.. again.. and again. I met a ton of lifelong friends and I experienced so many things which I doubt I would've experienced if I had not gone to university and participated in the freshers week.

Freshers was very good. I lived in a house first year so it was harder to make friends but I already knew a few people before coming which helped. I would say deffo try to go to s lot of the events as it gives u an opportunity to meet people.

Good week, lots of events planned was a good chance to meet new people and settle in to uni feeling more relaxed

My favourite event was the Fun house which had inflatables and a ball pit as well as candyfloss. It was so much fun was a great ice breaker between some of my friends as we had all never been in a situation like this with each other and it was great to be just big kids. Although I loved this event there seemed to be no events for people that didnt drink. Although I did go to some of the drinking events I am not a big drinker so having some events that didnt involve alcohol would have been great.

Moving in was very easy and straight forward for me. The student union was offering a freshers pack which gave me access to special events. I didn't get to go to all of the events but the ones i did go to were really good. One of the best parts of freshers was meeting so new people.

Uni is great for those who want to be independent and live on there own. Freshers week is expensive, but worth it as you meet so many new people!

Fresher's week was an amazing experience for me. I had met so many amazing people, introduced to a huge variety of clubs and had so much fun going out with the friends I had made. The events and stalls at the fresher's fair was incredible, including the free pizza!! Everyone had given a kind and warm welcome, and had tried showing me different clubs and events, even though it was slightly crowded and huge queues for the stalls.

There were many epic events throughout freshers week, favourite being the freshers fair, many society's and clubs offering great activities and many freebee's!!!

Overall freshers week was organised well but it was a bit confusing what events where happening where and if it's worth buying the wristbands on the door or buying freshers pack beforehand. I had good times during freshers, so definitely worth it.

Freshers week was awesome and well organised, and was also an amazing way to meet new people on the night!

Meeting new people in my flat was easy and I spent most of my freshers with them because it was difficult to meet others outside because there were no events suitable for meeting people. The events were average and the queues were horrifically long and I know some people didn’t get in even though they had a wristband. I’d suggest going early because it guarantees you entry. Alcohol was cheap with the deals on at the various club so you don’t have to spend a ridiculous amount of money. There were some special appearances through out by low list celebs however some didn’t show up which was disappointing when you bought a ticket.

There were not many options for people who are not into clubbing like me (or at least I didn’t see anything interesting going on freshers week). People go out literally every night during freshers, so you better save your money up and get ready. Part of it is fun because you meet new people. But don’t worry,if you don’t go as much becuse you will not miss out.

Move experience was easy - moved into a house rather than halls. Events were good but didn’t go to all.

This is one of the biggest disappointment to Portsmouth university. The freshers week seems as though it will be amazing, but actually it really is a let down. It seems to be that there is more effort into the advertisement of the freshers week rather than the events themselves. I did not attend one event that made me think wow this is amazing. I think it was all relying on that you’d be drunk out of your mind that you wouldn’t notice how bad it was.

Freshers week is the start of your amazing journey in Portsmouth. Eskimo run fresher events and it's definitely better to by the pack as opposed to individual tickets. If you have gotten in touch with your flatemates, get them together! There is normally good performers, especially during the freshers ball. Definitely worth doing good value for money too! Freshers fair is a must, free pizza, toiletries and loads of discounts!

I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy freshers week at first as I don't drink much but I ended up finding lots of different activities which didn't include getting mega drunk and they were great!

Clubing experience in portsmouth is amazing especially astoria is probably the best club in portsmouth. For my freshers event sigma and big nastie many more people played at the freshers event. Its a safe enviroment in the night and easy to get around. Advise is dont leave your freshers tickets last minute it will be more expensive. Thank you for reading my review.
