Great location, halls and Uni are close to town and sea front. Student union is pretty good for nights out and plenty of social things to do. Marine Biology Course was average, far less practical work than anticipated. Field trips were fun but too few and there could have been more lab work involved.

Plymouth is a great university for location. City centre location next to the shops and bars. Lecturers were really helpful and halls were nice.’halls were however a little expensive

Fab university! Staff are amazing and always willing to help. Close by to shops, food outlets and places to shop to! Brilliant experience!

Nicely varied University that covers a huge number of courses, with a fairly centralised campus given its in the middle of the town. Always lots going on which is nice.

The uni has a variety of learning resources such as library, labs, PC areas. It also has many societies for students to get involved with outside of class time.

I'm a first year student at Plymouth Uni and so far my experience has been really great. The campus is big, but all of my lectures have been containted one building which is easier. There's lots of different equipment available for students on my course as well. The library is absolutely massive with a wide range for all courses. So far I'm really enjoying my course, i'm only scheduled in two days a week which is a benefit as im able to focus on all my work. The student union is vibrant and there are always loads of events to attend.

In my opinion, the university is very helpful to the students with it's facilities, it's teaching methods and generally by the influence it has in the city of Plymouth. As an European student coming from Greece, I think that through my first year there I got helped by the societies, the tutors and lecturers and by the city of Plymouth that moves around the uni students.

The university is modern in appearance and halls are a stones throw away from the uni, making it convenient. Lectures are rarely cancelled in my case and the facilities and equipment on offer in the field of My study are very good.

The campus is really modern. The university promotes sustainability and provides cafes and shops within the campus. Everything is within walking distance from the beautiful Hoe to the train station. The facilities are great and there is a lot of support provided including tutors, empoability services, the variety of library facilities.

The campus is expansive but the delegation of rooms for certain lessons is a bit illogical at times. My course is a major and minor and due to a lack of communication they don't compliment eachother as well as they could. Also the monopoly one lecturer had over my minor seems unreasonable and there is no way to fairly campaign against this and avoid putting up with her for the rest of my course. Which sucks as the course is pretty good. Not great though.

It has been an amazing time. The lecturers are always so approachable and really strive to make sure you're getting the most out of the degree. As a student I really enjoy the facilities the university has to offer such as writing and learning support. The nightlife is great too. Would thoroughly recommend the university to anyone .

A great university if you want to go I to engineering especially marine, other than that the university doesn't specialise in the other fields, you're better off going somewhere else. Living costs in this city is one of the cheapest throughout the UK. Just don't go living directly in the centre, you'll find cheaper accommodation away from the centre of the city. Lecture wise it's all okay, the usual thing.

The Campus is in a great location, with many modern and up to date buildings. The student union is centrally located and offers all the services you could ask for with great events on offer and cheap drink prices. The careers service is fantastic. There's so much support and everyone wants to help you to succeed. There's always careers fairs and networking evenings with employers to allow students to talk and get to know the real people who do the job which they want to achieve in the future.

Campus is great as it is the city center! It’s only a 15 minute walk to the beach and the city is so nice and has loads of amazing coffee shops. The course is amazing especially if you study anything marine.

Couldn’t be happier plymouth was such a good choice! It’s a small city but packed with loads of students so your constantly being introduced to people outside your course. Highly recommend

The main campus is very conveniently situated across the road from the main shopping area of Plymouth and a 15 or so minute walk to the coast line. There are a mix of newly built buildings and others somewhat out-dated. Has a good sized library with the necessary amenities you might need. However, it definitely needs more natural light.

Excellent university, library and library analogue has some brilliant content, everything I’ve ever needed for research. Also the university offers a foundation degree and a wide range of top up courses which are all perfect for me for the career I want!

Plymouth university provides you with support every step of the way from moving into halls to progression to higher educational courses such as a masters. The student union is a safe and friendly area also at night and is a great night out on campus

All staff are incredibly friendly. Course is fun but sometimes lacking in organisation. Halls feel like a good and safe home but certain halls could do with an improved social area for freshers trying to get to know people.

I’m currently doing a Criminology and criminal justice degree. I find the time spent at uni isn’t all that much which is good and bad because I get a nice amount of time off but I’m spending a lot of money studying. The help and support provided by lectures leaders isn’t all that great and I’m hoping for that to improve as I go into year 2 and 3.

The uni is well equipped for science degrees and the lecturers are really inspiring. It is very good for helping you get ready for work because we have a hub you can go to for help with CVs and cover letters and help you find work placements. There is also an advice centre where you can book appointments to get help with any problem you have and the team are amazing and helped us out with our housing problem. There are so many societies on and sports teams to join which are all really really well run and are so fun and get you involved in other things in uni not just academic stuff. There is Market days at uni which are really good. The uni includes week long field trips as well as day trips which are great for collecting data which you cannot get on campus. The campus in general is nice, modern, and clean.
