The university on a whole has good facilities, but my course particularly benefits from access to a large number of workshop facilities to assist with making. This allowed you to realise and be bold with idea as there were facilities and experts able to help. The media hub was a great example giving you access to equipment you might not be able to afford, on a loan scheme. Tv Studio suites, darkrooms, metal, wood, ceramic, printing workshops were all explored in introductory workshops allowing for use thereafter. As an art student, my studio’s were unrivalled, offering individual space in beautiful and historic buildings in the Royal Willam Yard ex-barracks, Plymouth. With friends studying Fine Art elsewhere, I was aware how lucky we were to have this space.

Bad organisation for nursing but good university. The buildings are nice and the staff are helpful. Things can be quite last minute for nursing students

I think it is a good university and very good for socialising and meeting new people. The student union is very good and events are held regularly. There are a lot of interactive activities to go to and take part in and these are effectively communicated to students. Main downside of the university is that it is not very modern when compared to other universities in regards to designs. Some buildings are very outdated and should be updated for a more appealing appearance which could potentially be attractive for new potential students.

Good location near the sea. Lots to do around the area and the night out are good but not massive. The uni itself doesn't offer that much support to students, and the Marine Biology program was disappointing.

Overall my experience has been positive, my course could be more enthusiastic about life after uni in order to prepare

Campus is good, shops and student union with events and cheap drinks etc, lots of societies but sometimes feel there isn't enough room to accommodate everyone such as in the library. Feel the course materials are a bit lacking and the resources for the course are very limited.

great facilities but could use more 1 on 1 contact time with tutors and library should be open on sundays even if just for a half day.

Plymouth is a great university for location. City centre location next to the shops and bars. Lecturers were really helpful and halls were nice.’halls were however a little expensive

All staff are incredibly friendly. Course is fun but sometimes lacking in organisation. Halls feel like a good and safe home but certain halls could do with an improved social area for freshers trying to get to know people.

I’m currently doing a Criminology and criminal justice degree. I find the time spent at uni isn’t all that much which is good and bad because I get a nice amount of time off but I’m spending a lot of money studying. The help and support provided by lectures leaders isn’t all that great and I’m hoping for that to improve as I go into year 2 and 3.

Course not very well structured and teaching isn't great on some modules. However the teachers are very friendly and student union is great with alot of society's to join. Also lecture theaters are a bit small and not much space for a person to sit and write notes

The Uni meets all basic needs. There are many career fairs and opportunities. The facility that helps you with job interviews are quite god. Library could be updated with more recent books.

The campus is close to the town and nightlife which is really good, there are lots of opportunities for extra-curricular activities and placements with the careers hub offering a lot of support.

It was amazing literally the best experience of my life I was literally in another world, I didn't know that if you got on a train you can get to this magical place called plymouth. The night life is crazy, the things that take place Here you can't even imagine, it's magical.

Needs to have more societies and take use of the historical city that could allow Plymouth university to be a much better university as a whole

Good library Su bar is really good Lots of societies The lectures are good and informative The teachers get back to you by email very quickly.

The university as a whole seems to be ok but the course isn't as well constructed and organised as I feel it should be, the faliclities we have as a department are very scarce and the money put into it out of our own pockets is ridiculous and we get no support for it

The university is good, they have modern clean lecture halls and computer facilities. The uni does offer good support to students who may be struggling with their work through writing cafes which are useful. They also are very understanding of mental health and accommodate your needs
