The University of Nottingham

Great place to learn, the course that I am currently doing is hectic but the staff is very helpful. Being an international it was difficult to understand the type of exam as in my country academic writing isn't a thing. But I was helped through the hard parts by my local collegues and the staff. Also more importantly the people are nice here. I would rate the content of the course a 5 star but the delivery maybe a 3 star. But yeah it's totally worth every single comment. Nottingham University rocks

It has good facilities and there are a lot of supportive facilities when you need help with certain things, however the adequacy of the actual service I would say are mediocre as university students don’t really receive the definitive results they require.

The university has amazing views, the campus is beautiful. There’s lots of opportunities to seek help in your course or in your future career aspirations. There are many societies to take part in and the societies have a very large range- you can literally find a society for anything.

Great campus with very modern buildings the university always tries to modernate adding extra facilities eg. ways of learning in lecture, libraries. Really appreciating the 24/7 library service during exams period. Great contribution from student union with many societies.

Nottingham is a welcoming city, being from London it feels like home in terms of how the city is constructed. The university has a gorgeous campus with lecturers and professors that are keen to help. I am genuinely really enjoying my experience here.

Perfect uni for me, administration is a bit slow tho. Ink and the union club are definitely on of the best nights out. Supervisor and support tutor always keen on helping. The city is also full of life 😉

Campus is lovely and green, always tidy. Course is amazing and is always listening to student's feedback and then improving.

University is very big and staff is very friendly. However the food in the canteen in jubilee is a bit lacking and the canteen in university park is not very student price friendly. As a accounting and finance student the material covered is in depth and encompasses a broad spectrum. The exchange programmes offered for the business school is also very minimal.

Very good facilities, the library is especially great is you are a science or engineering student. The lecturers are great and really helpful. I recommend it if you want to follow an engineering degree.

Overall, the university is not a bad university. The issue I find is that since UoN takes on so many students per year, there seems to be a lack of sense of one student body. Furthermore, there seems to be a lack of education as to what it is that we can do with our degrees once having graduated. The facilities are 10/10 on the other hand. The negative here is that the business school has its own campus, yet is partially integrated for examination with university park, all of which doesnt make sense to me.

Been here 2 years doing biology, great campus, all the facilities you could ever need. Always loads going on at the SU, careers service in my opinion isn't great. Doesn't give help with internships much unless you're doing economics or engineering. Some modules aren't organised and communication across departments and student services could use work.

Organised university which has a nice, relaxing campus. Easy to get around but also tiring as it is quite hilly. Student services always helpful and loads of career events on campus. Food options on campus are quite expensive and campus is not near town centre, but hopper buses and public transport is great.

The campuses are gorgeous - one of the biggest and greenest universities out there. Along with the size comes some great facilities, such as gyms, great lecture spaces and so many libraries.

I am a chemical engineering student at the university of Nottingham. My department is on the main university park campus and the campus is really lovely, with a nice park and lake and grounds. The engineering facilities are too notch, with labs and lecture halls and libraries. The course prepares you 100% for industry with group design work from day 1 .Student union has good variety of food and shops. UoN is also the number one university for sport, with a state of the art gym both for the average person and for high performance athletes, and has a lot of engage programs for people of all abilities.

Green University with great view! Nice hall and very decent chinese, african, and italian food. Did I mention we have starbucks? I write library blogs for the uni and djanogly learning centre has the best views. If you need a private room tho, George green it is!

i don't utilise a lot of facilities but I'm sure they're good eg sports. I do physics and don't really get involved in much outside of uni. Lecturers are nice though. Physics Building is alright I guess could be better or as nice as the buildings on other side of campus but we get George green and that's a great library. Apart from the fact that the arts and humanities students come and take over it and there's never any space any more.

Fantastic teaching quality, the QMC and university park campus have everything you can need. However, I'm currently over in derby at the royal derby school of medicine and it doesn't feel like you are part of the university at all. Nowhere near the level of support I'd received previously on my masters. But if you're at the Nottingham campuses then it's a fantastic city and university

Overall, University experience has been brilliant. Facilities are good, with teaching quality also high. Campus is very nice as well. Only negative is there is no students union!

Beautiful campus, but personally I find it too big. On campus halls are all catered which is a turn off as the food is trash. However the university has a lot of money, which is reflected in the maintenance of buildings, and quality of courses.

Beautifully green campus which is large and has many services including a food hub and bank. English Lit with Creative Writing course is very academically challenging while exciting and relevant. Only issues so far include timetabling as all hours are clustered together on Monday and Tuesday creating an overworked start to the week but no uni time for the final three days. This has been more evened out for next semester however.

Campus is huge with 4 different campus sites to cater all type of courses and students. Great sports facilities at the largest sport complex. With a vast variety of people, students are friendly and le lecturers are helpful and nice. Transportation is convenient and accessible plus, free transportation between campuses.

The university offers many courses and amazing facilities, you are able to join many societies to your liking and the people you meet in university are welcoming. However, the well-being for students is not the best and the contact and relationship between lecturers/teachers need to be changed as many students can struggle while in university.

The campus of the university is great with lots of greenery and open space it doesn't feel restricted or closed off but rather open and breathable. The studios union is fantastic as it has provided me with the support or at least the knowledge of their supposed throughout my completion of my degree. The career service is very supportive and have given me the opportunity to network with many different companies. I have enjoyed undertaking my studies here and I look forward to when I am able to come back and pay it a visit again in the future.

History as a course is really good - however with no lecture capture ect...it is hard to catch up if you have missed aspects The student services are good, the fairs fresher and careers are good But always technical problems - with moodle, blue castle ect never runs smoothly Good teaching, good over university
