The campus at Northumbria is extremely friendly and welcoming. There’s multiple different spaces for you to do your work in different settings. For example there’s areas for group work and chatting areas and there’s areas for silent study. This means there’s an area to work which suits every body. Not only this the careers service are brilliant there offer you one to one advice about how to go about your aspirations like what you need to do, placements/volunteering and how you apply for it etc.

The campus is in a very good location and is clean. The buildings are modern although some lecture rooms lack air conditioning and can become very stuffy. My course offers a wide range of opportunities and the lecturers are always available to help.

I am currently in my second year at Northumbria University studying digital forensics. In our first year the facilities were fairly average, however coming in to second year we are placed in a new building with all of the facilities that would be required for most computing courses. Most of the lectures are interesting learning from people who have worked in the field; however some lectures are hard to understand and can make the lectures feel long and boring.

Northumbria is a great uni for all types of people. To start it's nice and laid back, it's not full of pretentious academics, there's no aristocratic lecturers, they're people just as normal as the rest of us, they always seem willing to care about you and are enthusiastic about what they teach. The student union executive team seem active and welcoming. The library is stellar with lots of resources and many online ones, the Elp, blackboard is also well used by staff.

Northumbria university is a great place to study. I'm studying fine art and even though I don't enjoy the course as much as I thought I would i have had great help from the student support services. They have been more than helpful on getting me back on track, helping me to stay in university and helping with my overall studies.

Fantastic university, lecturers are good however on my course they are mostly foreign lectures which is not bad however they have very thick accents making some lectures difficult to follow

The university campus is excellent, it is located in the city centre and has fantastic access to the city and the surrounding living areas, university accommodation isn't as homely as I expected and overpriced. MLaw is a good course with fantastic tutors, however at times feels a little thrown together. Newcastle is a great city and would recommend.

This is my local university which I applied for. The university has amazing facilities from the extremely comfortable cubbies in the library to the lab technology. Staff are extremely friendly and are always happy to help. They always keep us in the loop of what's happening and why we are doing this. The university is very driven and makes sure that we know the kinds of skills we gain are actually going to help us find a career we want.

Currently studying Psychology and finding the campus to be very easy to navigate as well as having top class facilities. The course itself is well thought out and planned as well as staff being engaging and approachable.

My course does really well to provide recourses and help to the students. The quality of life changes made while I'm at uni has been a slight improvement over the 2+ years I've been here

The campus and the faciltites are easyily accessible and easy to find. There are not many cafes or restaurants on the actual campus and the ones where there are offer food at a rate which is quite expensive for a student. The career service isn't as helpful as one would think, advice isn't really given. They just view cvs and do not offer specific course or career advice or guidance on how to get work experience.

I study mental health nursing at Northumbria as a first year student and I am enjoying my time there so far. Although the campus isn't central to Newcastle, there is a free number 1 bus which is handy for travelling to and from the city campus. The main university library is good as it is open early and late which is good for doing work and if you work or have placement like me and other nurses - we can do our work at whatever time. The practical rooms and leaving at the coach lane campus are fantastic and really build up your skills before placement.

Northumbria university has developed so much in the three years I have been there. The new library and computer sections are more suited to the university and the new menu for habita (the restaurant on campus) is also getting better too.

overall worth an experience . teaching facilities are really nice like everyone is there to help you in their capacities, one thing I'd like to mention and praise about university's library which no other university can compete. Also the student union , the whole team tries it's best to make it the best place to study and enjoy when you're so stressed about your academics. one thing I'd like to mention here that students and you're course-mates are always so nice and friendly with international students while amm yeah, you might come across some discrimination by a some faculty member. One of them will be definitely so rude to you sometime and would act so fake when you meet him/her the next day. that hurts.

The first year I started at uni, I was a nervous wreck. I doubted myself a lot but the staff there made it a lot easier. There is so much support like councilling etc although the councilling only last 6 weeks, I think the student should have a say in that. Maybe 6 weeks is too short or even too long.

Small campus makes it easy to get between lectures easily. plenty of study spaces in the library. Cafe does discounts if you bring your own cup and have loyalty cards too. Courses are pretty well organised, normally a panopto is put online straight away to review lectures.

Great university, great facility but very disorganised. Great location and great accommodation. Lecturer's very disorganised and out of touch with students.

The university is great, the city is amazing, the tutors are very nice, the course is not very practical (Business with entrepreneurship) but I loved my experience within the university! The facilities are really good and the staff is always helpful

Northumbria university is great. All the staff and students that attend the university are welcoming. The university always has something exciting going on. The university ski trips are amazing. The student union has a great atmosphere and is affordable. It's located in one of the best cities (Newcastle)

During my 3 years of studying at Northumbria university I would say my experience was a pleasurable one and felt the first 2 years of studying I have been through were enjoyable and the support I received throughout was superb and the staff were a huge reason as to why I got through the times I was struggling.
