Up to date facilities, college system makes you feel more part of university, student union night club has good prices However they've been redeveloping the main route through campus and the diversions are annoying

Just finishing my 3rd year at Lancaster and it has been an amazing experience. The college system creates little communities which made you feel at home, my course had so much choice in what you could do and amazing trips. I tried 4 different societies and loved them all and other people involved. Some people complain about the nightlife, but I've always had a great night out in Lancaster. Both the student union and careers service were effective and very involved in everyday life, they really improved my experience. Overall, we ouldn't change a thing.

overall, lancaster university is good. it is inclusive, friendly, communal and full of diverse and intellectual people. i studied abroad for one year during my bachelors degree and was well supported. there were free buses into town for nights out and shopping - my first year (freshers) was particularly enjoyable

The university itself has been quite a good experience. They have been very helpful ehen i needed an intercalation and listened amd helped provide support when needed. As a Masters student, the lectures were engaging and interesting although very long.

Modern and big campus, building work is still on going so at the moment does not look as good as it is. Able to live on campus in first and come back for third year/last year of uni. Buses are very often and a reasonable price. The city centre is 10-15 minutes on a bus, quite small for a city .

Lancaster university was never my first choice, I got in through clearing, but I wouldn't change it for the world! The collegiate system means you meet so many more people, and everyone is so welcoming!

I study physics, and the course here has been fantastic and set me up for my absolute dream job. Couldn’t be happier!

Before I came to Lancaster, I would never imagine that my University experience will be so prodigous. Starting from the Fresher's week which turned out to be one of the best weeks I've experienced. (since it's gone I miss it)m through the beggining, first lectures, seminiars, everything what University has got to offer, societies, lecturer's help, careers fairs, trips to diffrent cities, like Liverpool, Manchester, but also diffrent countries, like Scotland or even Malaysia. Great opportunities to spend the year abroad, and preparation for all of this. There's a possibility to everyone to fond yourself at the University. The variety of personalities gives the opportunity to discover so many cultures and make so many great friendships from al over the world. Without doubts Lancaster University keeps the position as one of 10th the best Universities in UK. I am proud of studying here.

The university campus is very big and located just outside Lancaster. The sports sentre is very well equped for a wide variety of sports,as well as souna and group classes. My course was a double major of linguistics and psychology, both of which had a lot of compulsory moduls to qualify for accreditation, so I did not have a great variety of modules to choose from. Also, some of the compulsory modules for linguistics would overlap with those in psychology, which was a bit annoying. The staff at careers have been very helpfulfor general gareer advice, and each department has a careers consultant for specific jobs.

A promising uni bit get so much wrong at the expense of students. Campus turned inot a building site with a very poorly managed redesigning project. Departments more interested in meeting their own agendas than the module content and overall course quality. Modules are group work heavy which leave you not in direct control of your degree.

In general, the academic ranking and facilities are good. However, just to bear in mind that the university is constantly in several constructions which is quite annoying sometimes. An original 5 minutes walk distance could cause you another 15 more minutes to reach the destination. Also, you will never expect the change of the construction site so that within the three years study you could expect yourself to become so familiar with the feeling of being lost on campus. It’s real.

Very nice campus university built on a lovely parkland. It has all the sports facilities on site, which is handy. The uni is currently under a lot of renovation but a lot of the buildings and lecture halls all look very modern. The accommodation is lovely. The city of Lancaster itself isn’t big but is still a lovely city to take a stroll around with sufficient food and retail shops.

Lancaster University is a very inclusive and open university. Staff is great( both academic and non-academic), there are plenty of societies to fit everyone’s interests and hobbies. The atmosphere is very friendly, lecture content and study aid is to the highest levels of professionalism however the university experience is a very relaxed one . I have never felt stressed in my 2 years kf studying there.

The campus has lots of green space, although it can feel quite isolating and the range of shops for food is very limited and expensive. Facilities are limited because the campus is small- for example the library does not have enough seating and gets really busy at times although it is nice.Similarly the sports center is too small for all the students and there is often ques for machines. The student nightlife is also limited to about three clubs which gets boring after three years. The course structure is generally flexible, so people get to choose modules from other subjects and in first year most people do three minors.

The careers service is very helpful, they run a Lancaster Award programme of the activities you do on campus. They also run drop ins for cv help etc and run a career mentor programme where you get matched with a mentor. The facilities are limited because it is a small campus, the library is very small and always busy so hard to find a spot to study. The courses are mainly flexible as they allow you do pick modules from other subjects, and most students do three subjects in first year. The campus is quite isolated and there are currently many diversions because of the building works going on on campus. However there is lots of green space for summer

Very diverse student body, great variety of sports available, lots of food options on campus and excellent accomodation. It feels like home away from home as I’m an exchange student. 10/10 would recommend to anybody.

Absolutely amazing University. Really good Student support services and a good network of community outlooks. The people are really kind and welcoming. Halls of residence are also some of the nicest in the UK! Granted, Lancaster is a little small, but the city centre is always very vibrant.

Department was recently refurbished meaning that there is a new lab. In general though the campus is almost like a big construction site, the diversions are ridiculous and probably even worse for anyone with a disability. Students union is generally good. Laundrettes (circuit) are overpriced and not good value for money as machines break often or entire laundrettes are shut. Portering for county college is good, supportive and understanding staff. Course is generally good, with some lecturers sometimes not quite conveying material as well as it could be. Lecture capture system needs updating as there are no subtitles/captions making this feature a bit redundant for people who are hard of hearing. Career services are good and staff in the course department and wider services offer useful advice.

Lancaster can be a small 'city' but it is certainly the perfect place to study. No distractions at all, just ducks wandering around campus. The uni has a dedicated careers team as well, which is really helpful.

It's a beautiful campus away from the chaos of the City but with good, close transportation links. This uni looks after their students well including well-being and nightlife. Range of societies and sport facilities allowing people to finds their own space. The lecture theatres are fully equipped spaces and my course is amazing. The engineering course extends to a range of disciplines to built a firm foundation for future careers. Support their students in term of opportunities, internships and engineering memberships outside of academics. Has a range of learning styles from lectures to practicals, tutorials to workshops therefore it's not the same boring teaching.

Very nice campus university about 2.5 miles out of the Lancaster city centre. University staff are all very nice and helpful. Perfect for someone who likes a quiet life and wants to get a good degree.

Campus would be really good if there wasn't always building work going on meaning we have to take diversions. Lots of shops and food places on campus which is really good. The library is pretty good but could do woth even more seats or study rooms added. Never had to deal with timetable clashes even on a joint honours course. However module choices aren't thought out well for joint honours; second and third year I was taught no programming for computer science but still had assessments in it. Campus accommodation is quite nice but feels quite expensive and uneven when you compare different accommodation of the same type across campus. For example, charging more because it was built slightly more recently.

The course is based at Blackpool and the fylde college which is a great location, the course its self could sometimes do with more organisation but is mostly good.
