The University of Lancaster

I love lancaster university and the campus life it offers. I'm a medical student and the course is second to none! We have anatomy teaching once every two weeks, along with PBL, lectures and a hospital placement. This isn't something that all medical student get at university and so I feel extremely privaledged to be a lancaster medical student.

Lancaster is a great university with a huge range of activities both academic and recreational which makes it in my eyes an ideal place to study and enjoy a balanced life. The reason why there is only 4 stars is due to the lack of racial representation and actions taken in defence of minorities or various problematic issues that occasionally arise.

The campus is amazing and is mixed with a variety of different scenes. Including a woodland walkthrough, huge academic building and lakes in between which makes it look great

Great University, in the North of the United Kingdom! So far it's been a blast studying here, and the amount of given support is incredible.

Good Campus facilities as well as faculty. The management school curriculum is outstanding with a really good understanding of the commerce world.

Great campus, fantastic accomodation, shops and restaurants etc! A lot of support is available when needed, both from your course and college!

The University campus is completely safe, the staff and other students are really friendly and approachable. I particularly would highly commend our students' union which is very accomodating to all students from all backgrounds. There is a vast number of societies, all different and unique in their own way. There is also a 'Student's media' which included a newspaper, radio and TV channel which are all run by students for students. This means you can find any campus-related news or event as well as read up reviews which are all student-friendly.

The university is absolutely gorgeous! I personally study at the Management Department and I couldn't ask for a better place to study!

The campus is a lovely place with a great atmosphere and plenty to do! There are 9 bars and many other fun things to do and the lecture theatres are modern and comfortable. The lectures are thought well and there is always someone to ask questions to. The students union is an integral part of campus and they always try and offer fun things to do.

My favourite thing about the university is the library: it's really modern and has amazing work spaces. Sadly, the university seems an absolute building site with too many construction projects going on at any one time. There's so much noise on campus so it's not the most pleasant place to live and work.

Really nice campus and atmosphere, careers service was very good. Student Union was actively involved in the organisation of events. Inconvenient that lectures weren’t recorded and that scaffolding was always up

Great university! My course was well structured and staff helped me achieve my best. The student union send out emails so you always know what is happening around campus, so you can see and do whatever. My overall experience was good and I even decided to go back for a masters.

A lot of money being funnelled into this university in the past few years tho it is arguably being used in ways to heighten the 'image' of the campus, courses and university identity over improvement to actual course content, materials and ensuring the advancement of all areas of study, rather than just specific departments such as the Management School. The uni needs more staff and more general classrooms for teaching, not fancy buildings that don't do a whole lot. The collegiate system is really beneficial to find friends and feel more of a sense of community but frustrating as you can only graduate on the same day as your college and not with course mates.

We have a beautiful campus that is integrated with nature throughout. This includes lakes and different forest walkthroughs. Also, there are nearby parks as well so it is perfect for people who love the environment and beautiful views. The facilities are impressive and constantly made better as time goes on as the university is still adding new infrustructures both within and off campus. The lecturers and members of staff are very helpful and there are a number of student jobs. The student union is okay, nothing special in particular and there are only two clubs in Lancaster which doesn’t make it the best place for nightlife. Although if you don’t mind travelling we are not too far way from Leeds and Manchester which have really good nightlife.

This university is a nightmare, The IT solutions and facilities for computer science are satisfactory. The computers will crash on you. If you want to pay £9,250 to be told to tech yourself then this is the perfect uni for you

Lancaster university has a beautiful campus. 9 colleges with 9 bars on the campus making it brilliant for socialising. Has a cinema and over 200 societies!

Lancaster is a brilliant university, highly rated by many and offers students a great learning experience. There is plenty of resources available to students on campus and some off campus as well. It's an off city campus which has it ups and downs, but overall is great.

Overall, my experience has been great at lancaster. I love how green the campus is! The only downside is that it is around a 10/15 minute bus journey from the centre of town.

Lancaster University is a quaint university, which a nice community feel, particularly on campus, as there's a small amount of people in Lancaster and a high proportion of students, so you'll always be near some one you know! However there's also draw backs to this as there's not too many activities to do in Lancs (even the nearby bowling alley closed!) Which can make Lancs feel quite low-key, especially out of term time

A very beautiful campus in a green area where u can even smell the shit of cows and other animals and u can feel like you are in a village.

The campus is at a great location, full of green. The accommodation is average. The library is very big and fully equipped and it's a great place to study. There are many shops including super markets, restaurants, bars, banks, post office, coffee shops etc. The facilities are generally good, there are many areas for socializing, studying. The sports centre is also good with many facilities.

The Blackburn College University Centre campus is new, facilities are good enough. However the course is a little disorganised and this knocks it down in my university experience. There has been absolutely no presence of a Student union until last year which still is taking slow progress. Overall, I wish I had studied elsewhere.

Lancaster university is a great place for a bar crawl. Each college have their own student bar on campus making it very easy to organise and not get lost. Fylde bar is one of the best bars being a sports bar and with a mean full English for when you're hanging the next morning (order a pint with it as well to ease the pain).
