Couldn’t fault Lancaster from the orientation day to my first day through to the very last. Supportive staff all around available for you whenever you need them. Opportunities to work as a university or department representative are widely available. Accommodation easy to get, and first year’s accommodation absolutely A+. Large desks and ample room. Prices are reasonable. Sports facilities fantastic with gym on campus. Teaching is top class and resources accessible and there’s many of them. I wish I could do my time here again!!

I studied English Literature at Lancaster University and thoroughly enjoyed the course. The quality of lectures and seminars was great and there was a lot of choice. I feel as though my degree has allowed me to apply for ambitious posts after graduation and I have secured the job I always wanted.

Lancaster university has truely stolen a piece of my heart. From the day i moved in i felt like i was home. The collegiate system allows you to form another group of friends outside of societies, houses and courses and its a great ice breaker in freshers week. Every minute of my experience from life on campus, to my course, to the nightlife and college affiliation, to life in town, has been perfect. I wouldnt change a thing. If only i could go back and relive the last 3 years over and over.

The university is good in general with a lot of buildings. The facilities are concentrated and it does not take a long time to walk to the buildings from student residence. However, it is not close to the city centre and you can only take the bus to there. Also the city centre is rather small compared to other cities and there is only one sainsburys for grocery shopping.

Amazing uni, the facilities are really good and the level of research is just incredible. I am only on my first year but it feels like ages. I feel at home and the fact that is all on campus makes life really easy. I am only 5 minutes away all my lectures and seminars. They have plenty of restaurants. There are two supermarkets and at least 9 bars. Just the place where you want to spend 3 years of your life.

This is a research based university. So more work on students and who wish to do research fields. The university is really nice but city is dead. 70k population of city where 40k are students.

Very friendly and helpful environment, campus is quite large and have 9 colleges of students. Don’t know much about student union and it’s activity but careers services in the Management Shool is really good.

Gorgeous and Morden campus upon the completion of a few major reconstruction projects! Very professional and well networked staff and fellow students. Great range of societies and amazing student-union owned night club with free shuttles buses between campus and the club. Never worry about safety after a crazy night out, there is campus guard and night shift staff taking care of you. Great career service with major specific career coach who knows everything from cv tailoring to smassessment center tips.

Overall Lancaster offers many opportunities for students to get involved in the community life, from a huge range of societies for niche interests, to the college system's socials, and also with the great opportunities to find part-time work both on campus and in town. There is a very strong sense of community, particularly on campus, with each college becoming a little 'village' of its own, and a local market running every Thursday on the main square. Moving to Lancaster as an International Student was a great decision because it allow me to really immerse myself into a new community, and foster new relationships – social, academic and professional alike.

Pretty good solid uni as a whole, got a lot of opertunities for students just wish the city had more in it.

Overall, the campus itself is nice and neat. However the various activities on offer to students especially around the city centre are very out of date and therfore many students experience boredom. My course itself has been delivered at a good standard, although exclusion of January exams creates a great deal of pressure for finals in May (7 exams within a two week period!)

Having been at Lancaster for many weeks now I know it was the best decision I've ever made! Freshers week was so good I didn't want it to end and dreaded the start of courses, but now we are fully underway with my course and I'm thoroughly pleased with it. One to one tutor opportunities and essay writing services are available weekly; plus a genuine interest by lecturers and tutors which translates into the classes. The library is amazing and always busy during the day as it's the perfect spot to work in, open 24 hours aswell which is perfect for when you can't sleep or have an essay due next day.

Lancaster is a great uni if you're unsure about moving away from home. It's a sheltered campus uni offering everything you need on the grounds. If you're going to uni for a party experience Lancaster is probably not the best place to go as it does not rival city unis like Liverpool and Manchester however, there is still a good student night every Wednesday.

Living on campus has been the highlight of my university experience. Particularly the college I chose to join is situated right at the heart of the campus. This meant I was only 30 seconds away from the library and lectures were only a short distance away! This was really encouraging for me as a medical student on a PBL course, there is a lot of self studying involved. The university atmosphere and the closeness of amenities gave me enough time outside of timetables sessions to get the graft in!

There are plenty of useful facilities on campus e.g. library/resource centre. There are also plenty of social spaces for meeting friends. There is a lot of help regarding careers and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

I currently study Spanish and linguistics in my second year at Lancaster University. Our campus has plenty of useful facilities for studying and aside from this there are bars/pubs in and around university which allow for chances to socialise with friends. They help a lot with career options also and the staff are very friendly.

Lancaster university is perfect for me. The campus is very natural with lots of green, also the student union has many activities which are all very fun. It has a huge sports center and all the lecture theaters are very comfortable.

Nice safe campus and a good library with good learning resources. However, the university embarrassingly disorganised and is absorbed in financial gain and profit over and above the care of their students. The strikes for example which left students such as myself without lectures, seminars or any form of support for two months were quite frankly disgusting. This went on with no apology and no question of reimbursement. This university should definitely not be listed in the top 10 in the u.k.

The campus is wide spread with many modern facilities. Many stores, banks and other services that allow student's to enjoy campus life. Many buses come from and to city centre allowing quick access to the train station and city accommodation. Feels like a small village.
