A lot of money has been put into campus refurbishments and improvements and it really does show. All buildings are new, modern and well furnished. Courses are generally well structured, with course information available in handbooks from the start of the year so you can plan ahead and be prepared Student union are hardworking and active on campus, making concerted efforts to be inclusive and transparent with students

The university of Kent is based at both Canterbury and Medway. I am a music student studying on the Medway campus which is made up of Pembroke campus and the Historic Dockyard at Chatham. My lectures take place on the Dockyard, such a beautiful place to learn. You are constantly surrounded by tourists, students and groups of children on school trips which adds to the atmosphere of the historical history of this Dockyard. The old boathouses, galvanising Shop, fire station and clock Tower have been converted into lecture theatres, seminar rooms, performance spaces and cafes and we are very lucky to have such a lovely place to learn. There is also a lot of filming happening at the dockyard all year round so we see a lot of film crews around and there is usually the chance to earn some extra cash by being an extra! The Pembroke campus has the longest library in Europe and a huge selection of books. The student Hub is a converted swimming pool and the campus is shared between three universities so there is a huge amount of diversity and community feeling within the campus.

Campus is very nice, library never has enough seating though and the sports centre is way expensive. English lit has good tutors and they usually record all the lectures.......................................................................................................................................................................................................

The campus is great, nothing is too far away. The school of European Culture and Languages is great and the lecturers are helpful and interesting. Sadly the sports memberships are quite expensive compared to other universities and then sports teams are more on top of that. Canterbury isn’t too far away and there is some good nightlife. Easy access to London (under 1hour by train). The library has just been refurbished and is perfect for studying (open 24 hours)! Some extra workshops can be irrelevant occasionally.

The campus is peaceful, with up to date facilities for students as well as plenty of help and support for your courses and any issues or problems you may have whether concerned with the university itself or within personal life.
