The University of Huddersfield

Good studios but need more student union activities at queen street studios as far away. Course is enjoyable but need to take more trips, surveys and visits to places that relate to course. Tutors are very helpful, always there to help with ideas and support us every step of the way. Parking doesn't have enough parking, the university should buy more land instead of people having to park in public car parks. Lectures rooms are very crowded for art and design courses, not enough room to write and be comfortable.

The teaching is to a great standard and the facilities are very good, the area is not particularly exciting but there is easy access to bigger cities like Leeds and Manchester. The SU events are also very good.

Amazing campus and facilities. Amazing people to meet and great activities to do. Good library and the tutors are always around to help out and support you where possible. Huddersfield has a really good night life and has something for everyone.

The staff at the university of Huddersfield is quite helpful. There is a lot of computers and lots of places to study if you want to. The food places are okay but nothing amazing and there is not a lot to do in Huddersfield itself as it isn't that big compared to somewhere like Leeds.

They do help when you actually need it such as drop in sessions for CVS and if need help about student finance. They do need to improve there food as not much options available and no halal food as atleast 30% of students are Muslim.

Amazing campus, easy to find your way around. Always polite staff, student reps around to help. Modern, clean and comfortable lecture theatres. Plenty of support from tutors and lecturers, always reachable in person or over email and are always welcoming.

The lecturers for the course of Investigative Psychology are very good, not only is the support during lecture hours of the upmost quality, the commitment to aiding students outside of teaching hours was very commendable.

The Campus is quite nice its very scenic, as theres bridges over the canal which conncets and its extremely beautiful. The facilities on campus are decent however they could be better. Theres two main cafes on thats costa ran and the other being a starbucks. The student shop has a wide variety of products including ones from abroad. Food wise it could be better as theres only one small hall with three places, not much variety. The law lectures are okay, they use lecture capture which is very useful. overall its a good uni which i would recommend

Campus is really well laid out and facilities are fashionably nice. Nice decoration and old fashioned building.

Although I enjoyed my time at uni, the money just is not worth it. The facilities were excellent for Music Tech, you could rent out whatever you liked but the tutoring and the lectures are average at best and very disengaging. The university doesnt have a Student Union venue unfortunately and the nightlife is very samey but with not much option.

Lecturers only pay interest when it pleases them, never finish off the lesson and tend to go off topic a lot. Exam past papers and information gets left till the last minute.

The course material, assessments and structure were perfect, and each year had a pace that fit in very comfortably with the amount of work given. Teaching staff are friendly and their feedback constructive. The only thing that lets Huddersfield down is its terrible Students’ Union.

Absolutely awful experience. Was not helped for my disabilities and marked down on my work due to my disabilities. I put in a complaint about this university and was told it would get sorted, that was 8 months ago. I had to leave my course due to the way I was being treat and the none existent help I received. Stay clear

I think overall this University is ran very well. I would most definitely recommend it to others and I feel privileged to be studying in Huddersfield. The surroundings of the uni gives it a homely feel. As for the University itself it is easy to settle in to and study as well as enjoy all the perks of the Uni. For the example the SU. You also have the facilities to pray which I think are remarkable. I feel as though when speaking to those from other students we are privileged. You then have the support for students from your careers to your personal tutor to personal help whether it be course related or personally with it concerning health and mental awareness.

good facilities and there are always staff around to help if you are ever in need. New buildings and up to date technology. My course was psychology and there was much less teaching time that other courses. Enjoyed my experience. Would highly recommend this university.

My course - Drama 10/10. The staff, lectures and lessons are what pulled me into coming here. I was not disappointed. So much variety of specialist subjects and just he right amount of on assessments and essay work.

My course ‘costume design with textiles’ offers amazing facilities where you’ll lean not just to design but how to design your own textiles and transform them by constructing your own costume. Careers advisors are also on hand to advise you on your placement year and for your future career. They offer great help with CVs and interviews!

Huddersfield uni has the most homely environment and welcoming atmosphere. I was very nervous when starting uni, but everyone was very welcoming and friendly which made the whole experience a whole lot easier. The campus and facilities are lovely as well. I would definitely recommend coming to university here.

The campus offers a range of opportunities including onsite sports facilities, tennis and squash courts and student union with a range of activities such as table tennis. The course I am doing is computer science which is challenging yet rewarding. This course is packed full of opportunities to learn different skills. The careers service is rated one of the best in the country and is an invaluable service to anyone wanting to create something out of themselves.

Good university. Lots of support from the staff and good courses. The online portal is useful and helpful but sometimes lecturers are late with putting resources on line and can be confusing where to find them and sometimes there's not enough.

Great university for my degree, facilities are top of the range for music technology. Not 5 stars for the fact that the uni itself lacks in general areas to study, the library can get very busy and you find yourself going back home or sitting at the lunch table to study, need more computer suites and study areas around the main buildings.

Exceptional uni, helpful and attentive staff and give you lots of placement help and opportunities. Accredited courses, and always making new places at the university for the students.
