Choosing to come to Edinburgh University was a very big decision for me but the move couldn't have been smoother. Everyone, students and staff, was welcoming and every need was seen to. The services are amazing from the accommodation to the lecture theatres. The degree structure is very flexible and there's a wide selection of electives meaning your options are kept open.

Excellent course with fanastic lecturers. Lovely uni overall, halls of residence could be improved upon though.

The campus is really lovely, it's spread out across the beautiful city of Edinburgh. There are a few different 'campuses' or clusters of uni buildings although Edinburgh is not a campus university. Facilities are great in terms of sports, cafes and study spaces. However, the mental health facilities alongside the disability service have a long way to go. The courses are good as is the student union, we have Teviot and potterow. The careers service is highly effective and runs many cool events for current and recently graduated students. Organisation really depends on the course as some departments are more organised than others.

Amazing university experience, very active student association and very professional course structure.

Good facilities, lectures aren't as good as I thought they would have been when I first came here. The honours courses are a lot more interesting that years 1 and 2.

Kings buildings campus has lots for student to do whilst studying at university with our own library and restaurant, the courses are well structured and challenging.

An excellent university in a beautiful city! Really love the central campus, it has a great atmosphere and plenty of little coffee shops to take a break in. Most of my lectures are in the huge Kings Buildings campus, while quite far out from the main campus, the walk makes sure you stay fit! Studying maths at Edinburgh has been a good choice, the teaching staff are always willing to help out. Many many student clubs and societies to join to really make you feel included!

extremely good university for academics however very focussed towards international and upper middle class students

The campus has many up to date facilities which encourages and promotes student learning. The university serves not just as a academic platform, but also to provide means through unions and societies to further enrich students' lives in Edinburgh holistically. Careers services are well thought-out for each and every student, and have been introduced to students since the very start to slowly prepare them for what we want as a career. University of Edinburgh is truly a remarkable university.

The city is such a nice place to study with so many options for courses and study areas. The teaching staff are very supportive and the personal tutor system is great for any issues that need ironing out as studies continue.

The campus is very nice, lots of space to work and many computer to work on. The staff are very nice and helpful. The students union is too expensive compared to other universities around the UK. I study chemical engineering, and is a very good degree. Very good contact hours.

No student union at all! So doesnt feel like uni vibe. The strikes went on for 2 months pretty much so i had no lectures or tutorials. Organisation of course isnt that great, I got no help with my application for my year abroad. They were useless

Campus is well maintained and buildings are well equipped with study spaces. Older buildings are rabbit warrens and are easy to get lost in, they need to be better signed. Student union is nice with lots of cheap food ad drinkand nice venues throughout the city. The myed site for all students is poorly designed and difficult to use. It tends to crash a lot and won't work properly on some browsers. Lots of support systems in place and funding available for students in need.

I love University of Edinburgh! The facilities are great. The lecturers are world class. Overall, the uni really paid attention to the students, trying to provide the best services for all students

The campus is very pretty with great facilities. Being a vet med student I am out at the Easter Bush campus which is more secluded but based in a lovely campus with a lot of money invested into the buildings to make them as impressive as they are. The main library on the main campus has many different areas and facilities for all your preferences and needs for when you're studying and I spend a lot of my study time there. I especially like the lecture recording system that is in place so if you miss a lecture it is simple to catch up.

Thought the uni has good facilities, the staff who are paid to continue their research alongside teaching often fail to pay extra attention to the students, meaning help or contact outside of classes is very limited or sometimes unavailable

Central campus has a fantastic location, and Kings' Buildings although it's far, has a shuttle bus from central campus. Spread across the city, in some older and newer buildings the university is very charming. With an active student union and very helpful careers service, it makes it a very well rounded university.

There are great gym facilities at the university of Edinburgh including a fully equipped weights room and cardio facility. There's also a large number of societies that you can join which cater to a number of different people. There campus isn't great as it is spot into different sections around Edinburgh so travelling between the campuses can be annoying.

A great university overall. The stuff is extremy supportive Great sport facilities High sense of belonging: there's s lot of clubs and societies but also everyone enjoys learning and attending the university And of course, it's a beautiful city

Great university - kings buildings campus is a stunning campus and the central campus is fantastic. Some lecture theatres could have more space, and larger desks. The timetabling is well done and the student services are good.

Good location, staff are very friendly but sometimes getting hold of them can be harder than expected. Tutorials could also be improved by setting fewer readings in order to focus more on the text/ subjects themselves and creating ones own opinions rather than being overwhelmed with several critical articles from other writers. The campus itself is brilliant and my main areas of study are all relatively close by to each other which helps. I would like to see cheaper prices in the uni cafes though as they are expensive considering their prime clientele are students! Even the tea and coffee is overpriced.
