British Sign Language society is a really good society to be a part of. You can learn a new skill in a social environment and have the opportunity to gain qualifications which would stand out on your CV. The committee are really welcoming and organise socials. It's a great opportunity to meet people from lots of different courses and years.

I love learning a new language, especially one that affects so many people in the UK alone. I had great teaching by the british sign language society president Jen, and she taught in a easily understandable way. Playing games and going through everything g in a methodical manner. We started off with the basics of colours and numbers and eventually maturing onto descriptions and animals. And at Christmas we enjoyed learning the festive signs. In fact I enjoyed learning the festive signs so much that I helped at the girl guides when the opportunity arose.
