The University of East Anglia

I have personally loved my uni. The student union is fantastic and there are so many societies to get involved with. The night life and on campus club is brilliant. The drinks in the student bar are very reasonably priced. There is very little to disklike about the uni. Some of the buildings look quite ugly but overall, the campus has a nice feel of city mixed with country. The uni itself is very artsy and has some very cool features. The lake is a lovely place to walk around during the summer. I could not have asked for a better university experience

The internet is very annoying however the societies, teachers and students are very welcoming and helpful. I love how everything is on campus as well. The clubs are a little repetitive but I have enjoyed my journey so far.

campus is really nice everything you need is all in one place. The SU bar is also very welcoming and great to socialise in. The sportspark is great although i know the gym is very small so gets very busy. The night life on campus is great - only down side is that the tickets just seem to keep going up in price.

The university provides a lot for a smooth transition from school to university. Also in the halls of residence we get alot of support if we have any problems

It's a fairly good campus, right in the middle of the city which means you're never too far from anything. Student accommodation is less than 10 minutes away so you're never too far from home.

Loved my course (media studies), some teachers were amazing and really cared about the students. However, strikes were handled really badly by the uni. Nightlife is poor, campus is nice but societies are badly run and sports societies are clicky and full of drama. Overall, I feel that I could have gotten a much better 'university life' experience somewhere else, but don't regret it because of how good the course was.

University of East Anglia is a supportive and encouraging university. They listen to Student voices and encourage students to seek help whether it is academically related or mental or physical health. Tutors are usually quick to respond and overall getting extra support using their student support service is incredible with the only issue being the wait time for it. There are so many clubs and societies to join and if you can’t find what you’re looking for then you have the option to create your own. I’ve had an amazing two years and will be so sad to leave next year!

The campus is really quite nice with a few minor tweaks it will be perfect. The facilities are great to be honest with no issues there for me and the course is great as you get all the help you need from the tutors and your friends.

The campus at UEA is the best thing about it. There is a close community feel through the accessibility on campus and the size of it. The rural location is also particularly delightful in the summer. My course is fairly poorly taught, lecturers are largely uninspiring and tend to be all Male, white and middle aged. The career advice and services are good, offering a lot of help and guidance. I use the careers site to find internships and jobs regularly. My experience overall has been positive, my academic experience not so positive.

The great thing about UEA is that the campus is very modern and there are great facilities available. There’s a bar on campus, a bank, a shop and it caters to everyone’s needs. It also has a club on campus known as the LCR which students can enjoy every Tuesday and Saturday. They also have a huge sports centre on campus that has a range of facilities for students to enjoy such as a Gym, a pool, a cafe, a badminton court, a tennis court, a basketball court, a huge hall, a place to run track, a rock climbing wall and a range of fitness classes for everyone to practioate in.

A university that I recommended to anyone. Grade boundaries aren’t too high to get in but allow for strong progression in skills through detailed lectures and willingness from tutors to help students out! Great accommodation with the university near to great night life and activities for students.

Campus and facilities are all close together and conveniently placed. Teaching staff are all very helpful as is feedback given on pieces of work.

UEA has a wonderful array of opportunities, ranging from amenities to necessities. However, lecturers fail to strike an adequate balance between education and pathological indoctrination.

Love my university. Does its best to make everyone comfortable and at home (eg gender neutral toilets with free tampons). UEA security is also great and friendly. Although the campus can look a bit concrete jungle to some people all you have to do is look over the broads and towards the lake, which is perfect in the summer.

This place has a mixture of everything; courses, people, societies and activities. The campus is a great space to chill, get food And drink and having a wonder down to the lake on a sunny day is the pinnacle. The lake was the thing that won me over when I went to the Open day - so I would totally recommend. Everyone there is really friendly, on and off campus and help is always there when you need it!

UEA has been a wonderful experience so far. I am currently studying Law with European Legal Systems, which enables me to study abroad in my 3rd year. This is an incredible opportunity and one of the most attractive elements of the course. However, there are some experiences that could be improved. Firstly, the majority of the campus is a mass of concrete. This is by far the most unattractive feature of the campus. By comparison, Earlham Hall (where the Law School is located) is a beautiful old building with modern renovations. It is a lovely building to study in, which cannot be said for the rest of the campus. The majority of my lecturers have also been great (apart from one which left everyone confused!) and it is easy to get in contact with them if we have questions. Overall, I would highly recommend studying Law at UEA - there are opportunities to study abroad in America or Europe, which is not a very common aspect in law courses at other universities. The year abroad is extremely attractive to employers as well as a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Nice campus, the lake is a beautiful place to hang out and walk around. Food and drinks on campus is expensive however. Overall good experience at uni

The university was a gem within a quiet city. Lots of greenery and the perfect distance from the city. Many eating and drinking facilities on campus, as well as a book shop and 24 hr library.
