The training and equipment provided by DURFC is quality. There are always many coaches on hand and training is structured and useful. There is a lot of support provided like free physics etc. Training is twice a week and then matches Wednesday’s. There are gym sessions everyday, quite often in mornings early before lectures or at lunchtimes to try and minimise clashes with lectures or seminars etc for everyone. The social side if the club is good too, there is a real sense Of unity, with everyone going down to see the first team play every home game, with all the guys chanting and having a good time in the stands. The socials are frequent too and are always fun and enjoyable for all.

Rugby at Durham university is a great experience. If you've played it before in school or at a club, or even if you haven't played it before, it's thoroughly enjoyable and you'll have a great time. It's a team atmosphere unlike any other which you will be welcomed into.
