Campus is clean and student friendly. Sometimes near exams study spaces will be filled up but good thing the colleges have study spaces too. I love the collegiate system as I met a lot of friends from different courses.

Durham University is located in a beautiful city, the campus is all quite close knit and also close to the centre near the shops. Durham is a city for everyone, with lots to do. St mary's college is a good one too.

Durham is a great city to study in. It's a small place (the city is basically a uni campus) so everything is only a twenty minute walk away from everything else, and even if you start to miss big cities then Newcastle is only a short train ride away and you can buy a return for about a fiver. Walking by the river is beautiful in summer and when the cobbles of the old Bailey and the roof of cathedral are covered in snow it feels like you are studying at Hogwarts.

The campus is good and well organised around the city, although the facilities aren't very good except for sport. The course is interesting but the lecturers are awful.

The uni is great for sport, socialising and is in a nice location. The housing is expensive however, free buses are provided around the area for students. The library is large but always extremely full, but there are other librarys arounf durham to go to if this is a problem.

Durham campus is very beautiful and peaceful. However, as it is city-based, walking from one building to another can take up to 20 minutes, which sometimes, is possible to get to another class on time. Buses are always late has been the major problem. Library is nice, but there are insufficient books and seats. Gym is far and small. However, all the staff (lecturer, college staff, counsellors, tutor) here has been very helpful and attentive to help. There is always someone to turn into. There is also a service called Nightline run by a student union making sure students' problems are listened to.

The campus might not be the most beautiful, but you still get all you need! Brilliant student union organising nights out and activities! Superb college system allows you to enjoy differently!

Awesome all round balanced lifestyle. Great resources for studying, loads of sport to get involved with at all levels and tonnes of opportunities to do whatever you fancy. Great nightlife despite dodgy reputation. College system is incredible, choose Collingwood for the best of everything! doesn't matter that the SU is useless because each college has their own facilities.

The Durham bubble is very much a thing, everything you need is close by. No one really uses the student union and most people don't know what it does. The careers service is good if you can get an appointment but other than that there are plenty of career presentation evenings.

Beautiful campus with all facilities within walking distance. Hundreds of societies to get involved with - something for everyone. Halls are overpriced.

Durham University provides a world class experience for its students - situated amongst world heritage sites, Durham boasts a proud heritage and ancient traditions, but with a modern and welcoming experience for its students. Accommodation is primarily split between the beautiful and historical Bailey, and the modern, diverse Hill colleges. Each of these provide welcome support to students, high quality rooms and access to gyms, societies and bars galore! Other notable features include a hyper-modern Science Site, as well as the world class Durham Union Society, which is at the forefront of political debate! Much need improvements are required for the DSU, but these have been scheduled to take place by the University - finances are clearly managed well. My course, Ancient History, has provided wonderful support, although more contact hours would be great!

On the stockton campus which is less attractive, but I still have access to exceptional teaching and learning materials.

The campus faculties are not enough, especially for student clubs and societies. The teaching is fine but sometimes the course materials are not good enough. The student union is average I guess but I can see it is improving. Careers services is available but ideally should have more support for overseas students as getting a grad job in the UK becomes nearly impossible for overseas students these days.

Durham is amazing. I love every part of it, from the nightlife, to the freinds and the course. Durham ckmes second to none ??.

The campus is really pretty, however the course I'm on is really badly structured. The course leaders are unsupportive and refuse to sympathise with my friends SEND requirements. The course content is detailed however is pitched at a student body which should already know about the topic. From someone who hasn't learnt the topic before and has not been given a reading list, the content is not accessible.

The campus is lovely and it has a real uni town feeling, my course is so interesting and there have been loads of events on which have helped me to meet loads of new people.

My course (history) has great resources and teaching, it's difficult but interesting. The department can be a bit unorganised at times. The students Union has no real contact with the rest of the university, but that is because it's collegiate.

This institution really sums up the British education experience, an eclectic mix of interesting people, sportsmen and students. It is not in every university where, through the collegiate system, a feeling of togetherness and inclusion is fostered in such an organic manner. A giant of old, Durham is one of the greatest establishments, academic or otherwise, in this great nation.

The course and people are great but the city(if it even merits that title) is painfully small and the lack of options on a night out makes me want to cry
