The University has good teaching and a good choice of modules for the Law course. The guidance through during the dissertation was very helpful. However, the University insists on expanding and has not been able to keep up in terms of teaching and study space provisions. This makes the environment somewhat clustered and distracting.

I love Durham especially my course. It’s so well run and the lectures are all so lovely and helpful and actually care. I actually don’t really like the college system as it’s quite cliquey and there isn’t a good range of societies. You don’t get much information on things going on in the uni and now that I live out, I am now not sure what happens in college or across campus. I don’t really know what the university do to help students, and I think they need to communicate better and care more about current students needs than growing the uni.

Nice campus very aesthically pleasing. The people and lecturers are equally as nice. Career service is hard to understand. Wouldnt use it it most events take place in the evening so it's difficult for for students who travel to the university gone able to to attend. The induction was unhelpful and timetable has to to be looked up to understand. I haven't used the sports facilities. They may be good but I wouldn't know.

The opportunity for academic achievement cannot be doubted. Often seen as a pressured environment there are few things more pleasant than a stroll around the Tyne on a sunny day to destress. For certain degrees balancing extra-curricular activities and work can be difficult.

Durham University offers fantastic courses of study, with a variety of options for topics. In my programme, philosophy, i am able to choose from a plethora of different subjects and engage with academics with a variety of research interests. Lectures can sometimes feel too large, with the facilities not being capable of maintaining the level of students. Staff are good at responding to concerns and marking work with effective feedback. The student union has a very low level of engagement and i believe that it does not engage with the student body effectively. This is perhaps due to the collegiate system, where many pastoral roles and activism is deferred to. This works well, however means that there can be a big disparity in what people’s experience is like based on where they live.

Durham university was an incredible university experience. The collegiate system made it so much easier to meet people and it really gave off the sense of a community. There were numerous societies and extracurricular activities you could get involved with which was definitley a highlight.

The campus is quite spread out but as it is a small city it is all relatively easy to get to. The facilities are excellent, such as the state-of-the-art library and the science site. However as a language student I do not get to enjoy these facilities as much as others and believe that more could be done in Durham to improve the facilities of the various art degrees available. The student union is a strong point, it is in a picturesque location that overlooks the river and they host various events.

Good university with amazing opportunities for those who attend. The only downside comes from the huge amount of over priverlaged stuck up twats who only know how to spend daddy's money

Dirham is one of the top best schools in the uk. And after coming here I know why. The facilities they have are very nice. They have over 6 libraries on campus. Imagine! The professors there are good at what they do. And the student discounts provided are even what makes it better. Although it has its faults. Nothing is perfect. The only reason I would rate it 4 stars is because of the weather. It's really cold. I know it's not the schools fault and it's fine. Apart from that everything else is splendid. So happy I got into this school. Hoping to graduate with a first class. I

Durham University is small place but has many colleges and is a tight knit community. The campus is great but overcrowded. The librarh is really nice but always packed. The careers team are great and always hold various events for students. The students are all multicultural and the student union is great.

It was great except for the fact that I was in stockton. I felt excluded and looked down on by the rest of the university and it made me feel like I didn't even belong at the uni sometimes. Durham is a great uni and my course was the best in the country but the way the other students treated us was not nice.

Great university. The opportunities here are endless. You are enrolled onto your course and allocated to a college throughout your time studying, this means you have the chance to make friends and socialise with other people of different year groups and interests. You can find the perfect balance between academic comittments and socialising/ extra curricular activities. Although small there are plenty of people to meet and the nightlife is surprisingly fun, admittedly it ends rather prematurely but I’m grateful of the 2am club closures as I can catch a few hours sleep before training or lectures.

Good uni, good staff, nice facilities, good atmosphere amongst students, and affordable pricing for accommodation, plenty of support and awareness made available

The campus is great, I like how it is kind of separate from the city but still close enough that you can leave a lecture and not have to hike to get a coffee. Facilities, especially for my course chemistry, are outstanding with lots of investment into it. SU is great with lots of involvement.

As a member of Van Mildert College I can safely say we are one of the best colleges (but every member is biased), even if we do try and bribe the vote to make it official. With large wardrobes and very decent sized rooms in comparison to other colleges however all college rooms are expensive, Mildert is self catered so prepare for a lot of potatoes and most rooms are shared bathroom rather than ensuite however this is rarely a problem. As for the university itself we have a wide range of facilities available both in the university and available to us from external sources. As with all degrees, especially those at Russell Group Universities such as Durham, it is difficult but with constant support available if you choose to accept it. Some of the buildings are quite dated but after all we do own a castle if nothing else can sway you.

Collegiate system is great for developing friends at uni/settling in to uni life. Lots of events, facilities are typically high quality, labs are maintained to a high standard. Lots of careers support.

I've really enjoyed my time at Durham as an international student. The town is cute and friendly, but it can make you feel a bit trapped. It's nice to have Newcastle nearby to escape. The facilities are fine but I wouldn't classify them as top tier and I do wish we were taught more rather than expected to learn on our own. I appreciate that the environment isn't nearly as competitive as Oxbridge but that you're always surrounded by intelligent, exciting people.

Campus was bad and distanced from activities. Staff were helpful but more content and helpful resources required. Facilities are okay- need more improvement and more workshops and practical integration. Friendly environment.

Durham University is great if you want to meet a lot of people because of the collegiate system and living in colleges in first year. Being in a food provided college(the majority) you have regular mealtimes when you meet a lot of people. This means that in second and third years you feel like you’ve met a lot of people and really enjoy the people you spend time with. There are also so many societies and opportunities to get involved in anything. The main downside is the lack of things to do not university related since durham is so small.

Durham is a city campus with colleges. This makes it feel very personal as you get to know alot of people quickly. However it was also clasphobic as you couldn’t go anywhere without seeing other students! I studied human geography which I really enjoyed. Great content and supportive teachers. Careers service is available but I found them to be rather useless, very generic information rather than personalised information.

The library is fantastic, great working facilities and really modern. You get to know a lot of people because of living in colleges in first year and the abundance of societies. A lot of leadership opportunities too because of the societies. Negatives would be that Durham is a small and rather boring town.

Good science facilities, strong Physics department, plenty of free resources, regular online resources published, great collegiate system. Quite inactive student union, college accomodation not always maintained well

Very prestigious university with excellent research-led learning. This can however mean work grading, etc can take a while and many lecturers are often very busy! Student's union is great and the college system really makes you feel part of a family.

Alright facilities. Good sports teams and experience. Small town. The collegiate system really helps with inclusivity. Careers services are not the best with little help. The student union is terrible.
