Having studied sociology on the kendleston campus, there was a lot to offer for the student, be it freshers fairs, further information, entertainment, bakers, seller. Moving on from there to a design course on markeaton street there was nothing but a one kitchen, whilst the other campus had a variety of food venders to. Felt excluded from uni life

Studied a design course for 4 years, after studying sociology for 1 on kedleston campus. Disappointed after to find my new gorse was located in a smaller newer building and had no freshens events, no daily bakers, no much in choice expect one kitchen. The lovely atmosphere are kedleston made a huge difference between lectures and kept you informed, felt left out and sort of excluded from the university feeling of deal, fun and excitement.

Excellent staff with good course structure. Students get help easily from the teachers and university helps to find jobs through careers department.

I study business accounting and finance at the UOD. This is a course that I was torn between with business management, however, my choice had been proved right in my opinion. The modules are very discursive and interactive offering detail on a variety of accounting subject areas and allowing for interactions with real world business to implement business practices. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a choice of accountancy, as it also comes with loads of exemptions for CIMA exams which is one of the biggest and most influential accounting voices out there.

Main campus is always so clean and has a happy atmosphere. Lecturers are helpful and kind, student accommodation lacks basic functionalities but is still an enjoyable place to live with semi friendly staff.

I loved studying at Derby, all the lecturers are really friendly and the campus is open plan so you get the chance to integrate with lots of students from different courses.

Nice place, nice staff, friendly colleagues, nice place to live and work and study. However, throughout derby there is a big homeless situation and everywhere you go down the high street, especially on quieter hours there are people always asking for change.

Campus and facilities are fantastic along with many other things, however for my degree specifically, organisation isn't the best and relevance of some first year modules are poor

This is my first year and I'm studying law. The staff are absolutely fantastic and can't fault them. Extremely helpful, supportive and kind. The law school itself is great, and it benefits from Blends, a nice little cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. The hot chocolates are gorgeous. The building is very easy to access from the town centre and there is even a bus that allows students to travel for free, that goes through the town centre to the train station, and also goes to the main campus at Kedleston road.

My course is amazing, there are no exams or assessments. The lecturers are great, they actually want to hear what you want to say and they truly want to be there

Derby university is so good. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. At first the layout of the place can seem overwhelming but it's actually rather simple. Since starting I have found my way round well and the lectures have even been very fun.

The university has really stepped up to the plate and delivered a brand new wave of great student satisfaction and a whole brand new student experience via the outstanding level of high grade quality teaching and top notch course experiences and course layouts and structures. The brand new facilities have become something of a pinpointing of new a grade quality campuses which lead the way for future modernistic universities to follow the path and modernise their campuses. The new campus security system is top notch and makes sure students safety is at the top of the list of all priorities.

Great university as a whole but even better services are provided such as the library, the sports centre and the student union. Having known for the last few years that this is where I wanted to go I am very happy and satisfied with my choice. Lecturers can't do enough for students and are happy to help with any issues (subject related or not).

The campus is very nice with a very scenic surrounding. The facilities are okay except for having to pay for the supplies for aspects of my course. However, they are offered to us at a much lower price point

I found the university of Derby literally on google where i searched for best universities for psychology. And now in the psychology program I see why they're on the list. Derby uni is very academically sound and they have such a huge support system for students with any problems you could imagine.

I was studying in their London campus (LCUCK) and I would say the actual university was good, but the Campus wasn't that great. If you managed to study in Derby, don't be afraid I recommend them.

Quite a good university, really enjoy the facilities such as the library and student food services. I feel there could be a much better nightlife. The gym is also below average but there are many university gyms you can use nearby. Overall, i Do recommend this university.
