Very small uni which has is pros and cons. It’s very cosy and welcoming as the lecturers will know you on a personal level. However there aren’t many resources or facilities compared to other universities.

Very small and close university with lots of student support and socials/sports to get involved in. Degrees for any kind of career path, close to nice sized city

An amazing course with great lecturers. No a lot of facilities on the campus. But amazing location. The student union tries hard and is trying to make a bett r campus life.

The Ambleside campus is rather limited in terms of space. The library services and buildings are good quality and there are plenty of decent computers and plugs for your own laptop. There is no student bar or student union building at the campus though there are buildings which could be converte. There has recently been a small gym built and we have a large sports equipment building providing anything from kayaks and canoes to torches and pick axes for all weather conditions.

The university itself is small in size which means that class sizes are similar to sixth form or college for many of the courses, people may think this has the advantage of working close with lecturers however, contact can sometime be hard to obtain. The small size of some courses also means that there are limited choices for modual options where they may not go ahead at all. Very little to do in Carlisle with few to no efforts for uni trips.

Disorganised uni, very little facilities available for students. In lovely location although living costs in area is expensive.

Brampton Road Campus, Carlisle Campus is really lovely the grounds are great on a nice day and there are plenty of facilities. The course Drama and Musical Theatre is amazing. You get to perform a lot of different shows in your time which gives you the opportunity to grow and learn through each. I would highly recommend this university.

Fabulous facilities on campus for my course (diagnostic radiography). Amazing support from lecturers and I've made friends for life from my classmates. I was also diagnosed in first year with dyslexia and their support team was fantastic!! I cannot recommend it enough.

The university is generally underfunded and disorganised. I am on a performing arts course and while some of the facilities are good we do not have enough rooms to rehearse in, some of our rooms don't even have blinds. The SU is practically non resistant, do not come here if you are looking to get involved with any societies. The night life is a solid 2 out of 10.

The university is big and the student union are helpful!! Always there to support students! The gym is perfect as it is near the campus! Night life is the best :)

My course is split 50/50 theory to practice. Lecturers are very thorough and friendly, approachable and welcoming.

Excellent campus! Brilliant help from all over the university, excellent support when asked for, guidance is readily available from a simple email or phone call. Although a night out isn’t brilliant here it was sick in freshers and carlisle isn’t too far away from an adventure either!

The campus is small but homely. I do adult nursing it is difficult at times but worth the end goal, being qualified. No much of the student union, i have only been able to seek support and guidance from my named mentor, no support for student nurses and the stress that comes with it, i would like more of this. Services, there is a good access to books and computers in the library and there is good sports facilities such as a gym and a large football pitch which is always occupied.

Campus was okay some dated buildings some new ones, however very rarely used the new building which was quite starange.

The attitude in my campus is amazing. As performing arts students we are well supported. The only downfall is the funding is low; especially considering we need to funds shows, props and costumes.

My university is mostly an old campus except the main gateway building. The classrooms are generally large and the library has recently been updated. The library support staff are excellent and should be used at as many opportunities as possible.

Sports facilities very very poor, student union very very poor, student support very good. PE course is decent, campus is bang average

Lovely little university, nestled away on the edge of Lancaster. Great views of the Lakes, and surrounded by trees. I love walking up the tree lined avenue up to the university. Small enough to have a community feel. Very cosy. Good coffee shops, facilities and a brand new building. There are always places to study and free computers. Excellent tutition. It feels like you are really cared for. My experience as a post graduate has been a good one. I thought I would feel out of place, but I don't. There are lots of mature students and I like the variety and mix of students.
