This is my third year at UCL. My experience has not been positive overall, because the administration of UCL is very poorly organised. The teachers are not always good- sometimes we had really weak teachers who did not know what they were teaching very well... the campus is good- its one of the most central universities in london. But you will miss out on campus student life if you go to UCL, especially if you don’t stay in student halls (which I would not recommend anyways because although relatively cheap, very bad conditions, messy, sometimes stinky, etc.)

Lecturers are very intelligent however the standard of actual teaching isn’t as good as expected from a top university. Facilities are of high quality but the organisation of certain courses and modules requires significant improvement especially with regards to deadlines and also how quickly the lecturers mark and grade your coursework or any tests counting towards your final mark for that particular year

The campus is quite exquisite based in central London and the facilities are great. I study law and the course so far is really good and a bit challenging. The first week of lectures was just familiarising yourself with the course and getting to know your classmates. The second week of lectures began with going into more detail of the course and understanding key terms as well as the course structure. I have just finished the first term and it has been a wonderful experience but an also hard one as university is different to what I'm used to as a student. The careers services are good, it's good to go there so you have an idea of what you want to go into.

The university is very demanding itself. However, it's only demanding, lecturers don't teach the way they should.

UCL whilst it has a great uni vibe with a fantastic range of people and great social life, the teaching resources and facilities are hugely lacking. The lecturers are terrible, there is hardly any space to do group work and really as an engineering student im terribly disappointed.

Terrible facilities. We had lecturers in hotel conference rooms which did not have white boards or desks so learning was unbearable. The staff don't care about the students and it takes ages to get something done. The only good things were some of the courses and the location.
