Very picturesque campus, a lot of the buildings have intersting architecture which makes you feel like you are learning in a well established environment. The students union is very well organized as the societies actually run regular events. The drama societies in particular are successful as they have to pitch the play they are proposing to the commitee and then they best one gets the go ahead to produce it.

Birmingham is a great university for careers options, and for good quality teaching on a wide range of courses. It has everything to offer as a campus university, and is in a great city with lots to do and lots of opportunities.

Amazing university, campus is lovely. With a large green space and a study space everywhere you go, don't need to go to the library everytime you want to study. There's also a fresh fruit and veg market called the farmers market which is a great place to stop by on your way to a lecture to grab a piece of fruit. Loads of shops on campus to go to for lunch, never run out options. However, with a 10 minute walk you can go to Bristol road which has a greater variety of food. The student union is excellent with weekly events and socials to get people to come and meet new people and enjoy different activities every week. Through the careers network you can always book an appointment to get experience with interviews, job applications or could even just go to talk to someone about your future plans and to get some advice. In addition to this, every now and then career fairs are held on campus which allow you to meet staff from different companies who will give you information about the different roles present at the company and how to increase your chance of a successful application.

Birmingham is a really great university in that it's very diverse and it's great to be around people of different culture. The facilities on offer are really great and useful.

Well, just where to start with this university? The greatest development, certainly during my three-year tenure, has been the arrival of the Green Heart. This new, natural, pulsating landscape in place of the now-destroyed Old Library has really breathed new life on to campus, or pumped more blood through it, as it is a Green Heart. People are happier now, you walk through campus and you see students smiling: oh look, there’s a history undergraduate eating an ice cream and smiling; and over there, a student of fashion taking a selfie and smiling. Everyone has cheered up a lot, and I put this down to the instalment of this magnificent, beating green organ.

The University of Birmingham is located on a beautiful campus with the Old Joe clock and the Aston Webb building in the centre of the campus. The halls of residence are also located in a beautiful area, especially the Vale which is built around a large lake. Furthermore, the new sports centre (University of Birmingham Sport & Fitness) has great facilities including, great fitness classes and the swimming pool. The medical school also has fantastic facilities with a large availability of computers and free printing. The night life is also great fun, with a wide variety of nights out, from the student union Fab to disco and techno nights.

I have really enjoyed my time at this university. The facilities are amazing, with contiunous upgrades being made to campus. The new library is really useful, and the availability of workspace is quite impressive all over campus. I really like the overall atmosphere of the old buildings mixed with the new. People are mostly friendly and there are always lots of activities going on.

Overall I’ve loved my time at Birmingham, facilities especially sports ones have been great, easy access to hockey and football Astro’s etc, the campus looks great, they’ve just opened the new “green heart”, great library, good on campus food outlets. My course has also been great, good lecturers and tutors and versatile - easy to pick and choose which topics appeal to me. Don’t have too many hours in class which suits me because I prefer studying in my own time, but when I am in lecturers and seminars they’re are focused and to the point. There’s lots of access to career support and essay guidance as well

The university campus is lovely, and very well designed, there could be more study space however and the library is often full up and hard to find a space.

I greatly enjoy my entire experience at university of Birmingham, being now In my second year there. The care for students is great, as in first year there was a vast variety of guild events that involved students and encourage social activity between students. Further, the array of society’s and the welcoming nature of these helps the experience at the uni. Alternatively, the availability of resources for studying are great, and seminar teachers and lecturers are attentive to students and cover courses well. However, the only issue currently is the lack of study space on campus as the library study seats are always full, along with many other study areas so it can be hard to find a space to study especially in exam periods it becomes near impossible. However, I know that there are new buildings going up to accommodate this.

The university is good as a whole, good facilities and lots of investment in the uni, but the lecturers on my course (econ) often seem more involved in writing their papers than teaching students

I love university.. The campus is stunning. The facilities are goood but the library can often be overpacked which is super frustrating I love the social life and the guild. There is little to complain about the lecturers are on the ball.

Really good uni with loads of social events to attend to if you wish. Also good teaching as the lecturers are from the highest degree. Also, good facilities that allow you to be the best you can be. Also, help the people who need help with bursaries

Many opportunities for students to get involved outside of their course through societies and events. Good dining facilities across campus. Welfare office are very supportive and understanding. Brilliant technological facilities for learning.

At The University of Birmingham I study Liberal Arts and Sciences. This course has given me the opportunity to develop a range of academic strengths by allowing a progression in Politics, Criminology and English. I decided to change my major in third year and due to the broadness of the course over the years I was able to change my route of study in my third year. Due to the size of the course I have been given large amounts of support within the department and have had a tutor who has helped guide me throughout my time here. This course allows you to meet a range of people as you take modules across a range of departments, and allows you as a student to develop knowledge and experience across a range of disciplines. This course greatly prepares you for life after University.

Brilliant career network, outstanding facilities and a campus that takes your breath away! The moment I viewed UoB on an open day I knew I'd have a very good 4 years here.

The uni is very accommodation to all of your interests which is what I love about it! I have enjoyed all the events and activities that they hold for groups of people that share your Interests which really makes you feel at home! As well as this all the tutors I've had this year have been so supportive in assisting me with assignments and questions I have from lecture content to where the library is. There are so many schemes and procedures put into place to help you!

The university is amazing in terms of the campus size and greenery. It has many places for students to work and socialise. There is good accessibility in terms of prayer rooms , disabled toilets and many more supportive networks. My course is decent in terms of the work load and lectures. This year the lectures have been supportive towards first year students and have been welcoming. The only criticism is that during freshers there wasn't much for home students and those that commute therefore many of us struggled with the transition whereas many that were living on campus found it easier to socialise with others.

A lot of disruption experienced due to ongoing building works. Can see progression of the campus however feels as though priority is for aesthetics rather than mroe practical considerations.

The university has a good range of options for societies and social events. The campus is a nice clean place to be which is easily accessible including the facilities.

Overall, really good. The facilities available on campus are great and there is a huge amount of careers advice available. The organisation of the course is lacking slightly, I have a lot of hours timetabled in that are 'mistakes' or 'faults' as a result multiple lectures and seminars have been cancelled last minute. There are many sports and societies to get involved in which is great but sometimes I feel the university could do more to stimulate interaction between students, especially on the courses with large numbers of people on them (I do geography and there are over 300 people in my year). The choice of modules is really good.

The University of Birmingham has a beautiful campus, with its grand red bricks buildings and free standing clock tower - 'Old Joe'. Its facilities are just as good with a brand new library and sports centre. There are two costa and a Starbucks on campus and loads of other places to eat and drink including Joes bar which also holds club nights. These facilities are expensive however, especially the unis own library cafe which is a downside. One of the best things about UOB is its first year halls - the Vale. Most first years live on this park which has a lake with different halls around it. If you go to UOB, make sure you live here!

I had a good time studying at the University of Birmingham. The accommodation and local area were perfectly nice, as were the majority of the university's buildings. Some of the members of staff were set in old ways and not geared towards teaching a modern classroom.

The University provides wonderful views and a great campus. Many cafe's incase your a little peckish and you get great value for your money. Downside, they lack in the study space, however, with the project underway to revamp the whole campus it isn't really going to be a long term issue.
