Overall freshers week was a mixed experience for me. I personally don’t feel like it lives up to the hype! Just focus on settling into a new place and don’t force friendships, talk to new people and let it happen naturally. It’s really not as scary as you might think because everyone’s in the same boat.

Events in the city were great, however events in the guild lacked imagination and were repetitive which led to quiet nights. Wristband was not value for money either.

I felt very welcome when I moved into my student accommodation and I found everyone so friendly and caring. The events were so good, and I enjoyed every single one, met some nice people and made some life long friends.

During Freshers' week, I was finally able to understand why university is known to be one of the best experiences during one's life time. Freshers' gets you into the uni mood, amazing memories and new friends!

Quality nights out at a range of different bars and clubs. The ticket was expensive but there was no other option. Loads of free events on during the day. By the end of the week I felt fully integrated into the university.

Met wonderful people. Organised fun. Wish it was always like this. It makes the times where the busy work periods better knowing I can call on the friends I made during his period.

Freshers for me is a life time experience, I had never been around so many young people from such a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. The friends I made in a first week of freshers , remained my best friends through the entirety of my univeristy life!

Gr8! Had such a good experience! Freshers week was chill! Couldn’t have asked for a better one! The staff was helpful when moving in and was very easy!

Fresher’s is very overrated. It’s good that a whole week is dedicated to going out and meeting people, but don’t expect them to be the people you spend the rest of your university time with, my advice is to branch out and meet as many people as possible. Also, the welcome talks for your subject are not useful.

It sounded like a lot of fun! I didn’t actually attend any of the events myself but my housemates really enjoyed it and found it extensively diverting! Also free beer

It was really fun! I didn’t actually go to any events as I am a postgraduate student and it did not really appeal but my housemates loved it!

From the first day all of the staff and student ambassadors were helpful and friendly. Everything was well organised and for the first week there was always someone to ask questions to. The freshers events were really fun - the nights out were really big and everyone was friendly and approachable.

People helping you move in were great, got settle very easily. The events themselves were ok, not amazing, not bad. But did meet lots of great people so can't knock the whole experience.
