Facilities in campus are good. By oibrarty hours could be extended. Campus could also benefit from having more shops, so there are more places for students to get snacks and drinks at affordable prices.

I study psychology at Aberdeen university. The city and campus are great if you’re looking for a small, compact area that’s easy to get around-most places can be walked to and there are buses for anywhere outwith the city! The campus is all in one location, with the exception of the medical school, which is a short shuttle bus journey away. I find the campus TOO small and the city did not feel lively enough-but that is just personal preference! My course is great-although the psych department at Aberdeen focuses a lot on perception-other universities seem to focus more on cognitive psych or mental health-related areas, which might appeal more to some students. Staff-both in my course and in general-tend to be really supportive and enthusiastic, which is great!! All my lecturers were amazing. The facilities don’t seem to be great when compared with other unis-I preferred to get involved in societies etc outwith campus and in town! The careers service is one of the highlights-it’s so helpful and really prepares you for work!

Campus is very pretty and overall atmosphere nice. I like the law library especially nice even though it is very crowded during exam periods.

I had an amazing time as a student at the University of Aberdeen. The campus is gorgeous and diverse, the lecturers were really helpful and the course was great too. I'm sad it's all over.

Beautiful campus with good facilities such as a large library and a good selection of food outlets. As someone who has health issues, I cannot fault the support I have recieved from the student support services.

The university is very good in general, it sucks a bit as sound doesn't tend to work and neither does the recording of lectures. Maths lectures are also not recorded because the system cannot handle white boards. Most lecturers are very good, at least for. Engineering.

The university of aberdeen has good facilities, but it could benefit from a teaching reform. Lectures are long and containing long information which is then harder to consolidate.

The University of Aberdeen offers a wide array of courses to study. There are loads of post-graduate courses, and research areas as well. The campus is amazing, everything is at one place and it's quite easy to get from one class to another. We have a student union, ausa, that organise regular events in all the courses, as well as sports teams in the Aberdeen Sports Village. The information centre and the careers services are able to help with most of the enquiries, such as finance, registry, IT, help with CVs and applications. The only negative review I would mention is the quality of language teaching. The university offers German, Spanish, Swedish, Gaelic, Chinese, etc. languages to study, however I don't think they meet the quality expected. The teachers are mostly native speakers, however they are not teachers which is clear to anyone that has ever been to a foreign language class. I hope the university will be able to work on this weak spot in the near future.

The campus is inclusive, as in its all in one place and not spread over the city (with the exception of the medical buildings/hospital). Its has a genuinely beautiful old town vibe, with mass greenery in the summer and that fades into a nostalgic autumnal feeling as the nights grow longer. I feel like it is a genuinely safe environment. The starbucks on campus, and the brand new zero waste cafe are great places to relax between classes! I think the most important thing about the university experience is to make sure to build a rapport with your lecturers; they really are there to help, even with non-university issues. The info hub/student hub is a life saver, especially when students are in financial distress. In my second year my flat unexpectedly burned down and the university gave me food vouchers and a £300 grant in order to help me get back on my feet, and a simple explanation to the head of my school allowed for me to have extensions on deadlines. However, I have to say that due to the historic nature of the campus, the lecture theatres and tutorial rooms could be updated as they can be basic/inconvenient at times. One great aspect though is the Aberdeen Sports Village, which is affiliated with the university, and offers great student prices for use of the facilities and has the benefit of being directly across the street from the university itself! Unfortunately I don't have much experience with the student union (AUSA) as I haven't heard great things about it and am sceptical to use their services, especially as they take a very long time to reply to emails, and can sometimes be unhelpful. However, they are affiliated with some great projects, and are supportive of the establishment of new societies.

The university of Aberdeen is a wonderful place. The campus is beautiful, the student union is amazing, homely atmosphere, cheap prices. My experience so far has been fantastic, only thing I don't like is the weather!

Some of the music facilities could and should be greatly improved as well as the attention paid to soecufuc courses (Performance) which are often overlooked by the department

The campus is close knit so all building are within a 5 minute walk which is great. There's a great range of sports clubs and societies to join no matter what your interests may be. The course I studied has been good so far but could be better organised, and more emphasis should be placed on graduate opportunities.

The university courses are fabulous, at least from my own experience with Zoology. Lectures are all recorded as of 2018 which makes studying even easier. Apart from the medical sciences buildings all of the university campus is situated close together which makes moving between classes easy and accessible.

Nice area, some cool buildings, Hogwarts like, professors helpful and understanding, fieldtrips well organized and fun

Aberdeen university is a good all round place of higher education. The atmosphere is good, the student union work hard for the overall student body, and clubs and socials are prevelant everywhere. The ciry itself is alright, overlay expensive, but student perks help. As a music student, the course was great, if a little lacking in actual lectures in the last two years.

Lack of proper student union was annoying. Good student support, and great medical school! Feedback not always timely and thorough. Good buildings and food and drink facilities. New Central Building excellent for freshers loving at Hillhead.

The experience at Aberdeen university can be quite mixed, I studied chemical engineering here. I'll split it into positives and negatives. Main positives -Nice campus, the campus is lovely and has some really nice architecture. -Good links with industry, I found particularly as an engineering student that the university has always interacted a lot with the local oil and gas industry. -Variety of places to study, the university has a range of different places to study, from the louder group working environments like Fraser Noble to the completely silent Taylor library. Main negatives: -Far away, the closest city to Aberdeen is Dundee, which is around 2 hours away. This means students at the university are confined to stay in Aberdeen during their time here. -No student union bar, one of the best things about being a student is being able to go to the union bar. I didn't realise how big a deal this was until visiting several union bars around the country, and realised having one vastly improves the quality of social life. -Badly scheduled term times, back when I was in first year the exams were after christmas, so there was plenty of time to get coursework done in the term time and revise for exams over christmas. Whilst this meant christmas was less enjoyable, I found out it was much better than the alternative, having exams before christmas. This means courses that are designed to have their exams after christmas have squashed all of their content into the first term, meaning a lot more pressure on students. This has probably been the cause of several drop outs I know about, and it is a shame because it has ruined some peoples potential careers.

I study geology and it is definitely one of the best in the UK. There are lots of places to eat on campus as the university hub has tonnes of restaurants/takeaways. The campus of the uni is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, legit feel like I’m in Harry Potter every time I walk through it. The student union could do more to organise events for students just starting uni, especially if they are not living within the hill head halls.

The University is good and has some great facilities. The library is great and works a treat for studying. Some of the other buildings, however, are really hard to navigate and in many ways not fit for purpose. The teaching is good, especially as you progress through your degree and teachers provide good support. Societies are often not run too well due to lack of support from the student association.

I’m a big fan of the campus overall, since you don’t really have the feeling that you’re actually at a campus. The atmosphere is great and there are enough spots to relax and take a break from all the studies.

High quiality of learning, plenty of tutorials and lab projects. There is a free bus for students to move between two different campuses. Lecturers are very helpful.

It’s a really good university, the only problem is the lack of organisation a lot of the tim however there is a wide variety of learning opportunities and facilities to cater to many needs.

From what I can tell the university seems to be vastly different over disciplines. Some schools such as law seem to be very to the book in reality but the online learning tools are a mess. In comparison medical sciences are more well suited to the online environment and are more student friendly

Love the campus, very scenic with old buildings. Also like the fact that the buildings all all close together on campus and not spread out throughout the city. I study zoology and it’s extremely interesting, I’m glad I chose it. Don’t really have too much experience with the student union to be honest.
