It's a good university with incredible research facilities. Personally I think it's better suited for postgrad degrees, in engineering department, but still quite a good university. I believe the careers service could be improved immensely but otherwise they're going in the right direction.
Small city, nice uni, modern library’s, good nightlife and good medical school, overall good experience , halls far from c malus and run down and overpriced But all acclimation in Aberdeen is over priced
Great! I really love it here even though not everything is perfect. I hope to spend my three more years here and then maybe also my post-graduate degree. No one knows!
I am based at the dental school of Aberdeen university. The teaching and the experience of seeing patients is the biggest bonus of studying at this school. The course has been structured in a way to allow lots of patient contact before we graduate thereby allowing us to graduate with confidence. However I believe there are quite a few areas that requires to be improved including the number of lecture rooms present.. there are only two lecture room present in this building as well as one quiet room which isn’t really quiet. There isn’t anywhere to study within this building. Further more options in terms of food is limited as there is just an aroma in the building and this closes at half 2 leaving us with no food after this time.
Most of it is great. Ausa is not amazingly run however and some of the clubs have pretty dodgy politics
We have a pretty brilliant student union, they organise some great activities and nights out, as well as serious stuff, like careers fairs, that are actually really helpful. The campus might not be the most beautiful, but the facilities are very good. The library is huge with loads of seating (this is a big deal!) and the gym is really good
Campus is beautiful but some outdated buildings The course gets better through the years but very demanding and the teaching needs to be improved as a lot of them are unfair
Campus is so huge that it takes ages to cross from one end to an other.it was made in 1495 by William elphinstone who was the bishop of Aberdeen
Great support available for students. However, lectures and student consideration should be improved. One of my professors chooses not to put power points online which I think is unacceptable.
