St George's Hospital Medical School

I think the overall university is reputable and very good, academic wise. The actual campus is okay, it is a bit old and could be improved, however some parts have been newly done so they are better. The library space is quite small considering there are many students, and especially during exam season, there is no space to revise in the library. I think the lecturers are okay but there is a lack of organisation sometimes when it comes to certain things. I.e picking up placement uniform, exam results.

I have found my experience at St George’s, University of London to be very enjoyable thus far. The university is incredibly ethnically diverse and the faculty are all well invested in our educations.

Overall, it's very good for a tiny uni. The sports facilities are absolutely great. All courses are healthcare based and the hospital it's attached to is very supportive. Very inclusive uni with people of all backgrounds.

I've been a big part of George's, involved in many different societies and shows, all of which i thoroughly enjoyed. The lectures and modules offered are vast, i'm enjoying my third year!

Very good uni accommodates all of students need but more support for student would make it 5 stars. The course is well structured but exams could be timed more appropriately. Lectures are delivered consistently and are very informative but could be made more interactive.

The MBBS5 course is overall good. There is plenty of clinical experience, along with good clinical skills teaching. Lectures are generally good and all are recorded online. The students union is good after it's refurbishment.

The facilities, admin and SU are horrendous. We receive results months late, there is only one music room (situated above the wards and the library, so you can't make any noise) with a broken piano and broken drum kit, they have gotten rid of our gym so we now have to pay for gym membership at the local gym and the SU are not allowing all of our netball teams to practice on the court.

Amazing university, great community feel. Everyone is very keen to help out whenever needed. Teaching is amazing, we have all received consistent help and support.

The facilities at St George’s are beyond appalling. We no longer have a gym and have to pay to use the local leisure centre. We do not get reimbursed for any sporting activities or travel and even have to buy our own kits and equipment for team sports. There is one music room with two broken pianos and a handful of other substandard instruments cig is located above the library and very close to the hospital wards, so we are unable to make music in a so called music room. The SU has recently been done up so is a lot nicer there and drinks are cheap. The course (medicine) is a lot tougher than other unis with a huge amount of content that is far too detailed. We start earlier and finish a month later than others of the same course and year at different unis.

A smaller university than most, which is great because you dont get lost in the crowds but not if you want the typical social life of university. There is less pressure academically and other students more likely to help each other out than compete with you.

The campus is small, as expected due to its location in a hospital, however the lecture theatres are large and accommodating with plenty of room for students to sit/eat/study in. With 24/7 facilities such as the library and computer room with a red bull machine outside a student cannot complain! Lecture halls are very large and all air conditioned to ensure that even on the hottest days we can stay focused, we even have actual doctors coming to teach lectures to really get across the knowledge. I currently study MBBS5 which has been altered for my year and I have so far found that these alterations have made the course easier to follow and enabled us to gain even more skills necessary to become successful doctors.

Such a good uni for a course within a medical environment. So hands on and it’s more about working in the job you want then sitting in a lecture learning about it.

Its s wobderful environment to lesrn in specifically because its science bssed and there is a small populstion of students so everyone intwracts eith one another

Very small campus, not enough silent study space equipped with charging points during busy exams periods. Recently, new SU bar refurbishment and new teaching rooms (which are too big for quiet study). Courses are challenging and lectures are interesting and engaging.

It's a nice place for the reason it's very small and calming. They provide good facilities and it's a medicine based uni so it's quite easy for eveeyone to bond.

The campus is full of like minded individuals all looking to start a career in healthcare, which the university accommodates fully with its plethora of resources and passionate team of staff all willing to teach and help every student.

Library is very small but it's very homely. The university is not quite as huge as others but the community feeling beats it all. Teachers and students are also quite close. There may be some technical issues at times with projectors/monitors/computers - but all in all - love the uni. It grows on you.

Small uni. Not enough facilities to accomodate everyone. Not enough space. recently refurbished SU is really pretty that’s about it

The uni needs to expand and being inside the hospital means it has limited facilities for the actual univertsity. Recently refurbished the SU bar which is a lot better than what it used to be and a great improvement. Would be nice to improve everything else in the same way. Small uni, not enough space to accommodate for people to eat etc..

The campus is very home like and since it is small, it keeps everyone close together which gives the universirt a very nice atmosphere. The MBBS5 course is very well planned and the method of spiral learning is very impressive and ensure I build on my knowledge which builds a good doctor. Plus I have had patient contact since week 1 which is amazing as it really puts in to perspective the impact we have on patients life. Since being a 1st year I only have some experience which the organisation of the university however one element which stood out was this. I am due to have a tonsillectomy on 30/01/18 due to severe tonsilitis and some other medical conditions. This happened to be the date of 2 of my exams and so this university quickly rearranged a date which would be more suitable for me which was very impressive, instead of moving my surgery.

I am studying medicine at St George's. The course is very well organised, we get to learn the science behind everything during lectures but at the same time we get hands on experience during our early year clinical placements. The campus itself is integrated with the hospital which is really nice. Sometimes the university lacks organisation however, overall this is not a big concern.
