Great club, made some friends I am sure I will stay with for life. Great trips and been able to progress massively. Can't wait for next year

Brilliant and friendly club with entry of good equipment. Weekly pool sessions and regular trips and socials makes the canoe club an excellent addition to my time at uni.

The canoe club was the best thing about university. It was a fantastic club where people who often struggle to fit in find a place of belonging. The people as well as getting outside lots and learning new skills really benefited my mental health and helped me to develop as a person. The club allowed me to gain new experiences and qualifications. I have travelled Europe kayaking and now lead groups down rivers and am confident to give first aid. There is a good training structure to help you gain qualifications. The canoe polo equipment is brand new and anyone can get involved. The white water equipment needs some attention especially for smaller paddlers. The socials are good but have declined over recent years. The club needs to focus on allowing freshers to stay and make friends in the club through bonding at clubbing or bowling.
